- Today we spent time doing some of our favorite things just South of Anchorage. We hiked Virgin Creek Falls, Byron Glacier, went to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and had Moose's Tooth Pizza for dinner. It was such a cold, drizzly, and moody day on the hike to Byron Glacier, but everyone did so good pushing through the cold and wet! It has been so fun experiencing our home state with good friends!

The cold weather definitely adds to the Alaska mood. It was amazing to me how much colder the air got when near a glacier. I mean you know in your head it will be colder but...... Brrrrrrrrrr was it cold 🥶

I took my nephew to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center 19 Jul and it was packed! Did you know that all of their porcupines are named after candy bars? Twix, Heath, Kit Kat...and they keep them separated because they are territorial.

Well, the whales were pretty absent unfortunately, but we still had a great time
