Many would have never heard of Bishop Strickland, had increased devotions and vocations, and increased knowledge of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Faith had the suffering he has had to endure not come to pass. Pope Francis has divided the Catholic Church into a protestant-like number of dioceses with every bishop doing thjngs as he seems fit. The Catholic Church is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. Now ut is nor One, it is not Catholic in uts entirety, i diubt the holiness of many cardinals, bishops and clerfy, and it is not apostolic at all.

Pope Francis placed restrictions on it, because ,unfortunately, many Catholic Christians claim the Latin Mass is the only valid Mass, which of course would then exclude the Last Supper, also not said in Latin! Priests and Bishops need to be very strong like Bishop Strickland , Our Lady of Medjugorie always asks us to pray for her shepherds .
Excellent conversation. As always, His Excellency, Joseph Strickland is right on point. I also ask myself why don’t those at the top start a new church instead of hijacking the Catholic Church. It’s all about money and power.
The only reason that I can think of is, that they want to deconstruct the Church until it conforms to their vision, and consequently ceases to be Catholic, becoming instead an anti-Christ quasi-religion that would be anathema to any Bible believing Christian.
They couldn't do that if they left.
I don't think the Protestant religion is extreme enough for, or would facilitate, their agenda. In the absence of the protection of an apparently immoveable Papal Authority, the Protestants would undoubtedly kick them out.

As a new convert, confronted with Catholic social media jungle, I have found the importance of asking Our Lady for the grace of discernment regarding which voices I should pay attention to and which I need to avoid or be cautious about.

Bishop Strickland says that "...the reason for the loss of faith is complex and numerous." Really bishop? No, the reason is very simple. It is that the bishops have never preached the Gospel as a life and death issue and hell. Thus people have lost the fear of God as a result, just like them. They forever lament the unbelief of the real presence and the huge decline in Mass attendance But the Eucharist is not the Gospel nor is it a tool for evangelization even though the Gospel contains the Eucharist.
You see, when Jesus chose the Apostles early in His ministry and sent them to preach the Gospel by casting out all evil spirits and heal all manner of sicknesses, which is what they have been called to do but never do, there was no Mass. The Mass came at the end as the source and summit of worship for those who already hold apostolic faith in a state of grace and not for other faithless who are the vast majority of Catholics.

Their sermons are bold and steadfast, not pious philosophy that we hear from our bishops of today. You will also come to know from them, as Jesus Himself said, that only a remnant will be saved. Pious hopes will not save you.

@@CigarMode-4good The Mass has nothing to do with salvation. The Apostles were chosen to go and convert people and baptize them. It is through baptism you get saved. That is why no unbaptized person can receive Holy Communion. In fact, although Sunday Mass is obligatory, there is no requirement to take Communion except at a minimum once a year, during Lent and only after going for confession.
