- Tom Moore has been promoted from captain to honorary colonel by military top brass after raising over £30million for NHS workers.
The World War Two veteran was bestowed the honorary title by the military on behalf of the Queen - and hopes to now complete the 200th lap of his now-famous garden to raise more for charity

This man has raised millions upon millions while poor boy Branson needs a bail out because his billions won't stretch to supporting his own staff during these hard times. The comparison between Tom Moore and Branson encapsulates perfectly the notion that there are those who are always willing to give and those who only want to take from others.
You may need to check the facts with regard to Branson's charity & foundation contributions over the last 40 years as well as the tax paid in each of the countries in which he / Virgin have offices. Let's just say say that this is under reported & the facts & numbers ignored as the full truth does not make a good story.

With so much negative news reporting, its really wonderful to see him get knighted by the Queen.
Even more special, was that Her Majesty made a possibly unique private meeting with him.
I cannot remember anytime during her long reign, that the Queen has bestowed a knighthood without any other recipients in attendance.

I went to Afghanistan in 2012 for 7 months and when I returned my wife's grandfather said to me that he has the utmost respect for me and I just laughed bcoz that's coming from someone who went through living hell. They r so extremely humble. Even having experienced combat first hand I can still not comprehend anything that any of them went through.
