It boggles my mind how talented each of these guys were. Really mind blowing. So incredibly hard to believe that they are not in the rock hall of fame. You can hear how they actually influenced other bands that came along later.

They've put in ALL KINDS of groups who wouldn't know rock n roll if it shit on their lawn..That place is about making money, thats it.
They'd put in M n M or fukn Glen camble so long as it made money and the artist or group wouldn't have EVER PLAYED A NOTE OF ROCK N ROLL..F A C T

Because the R&RHF is very politicized and Sweet was the band everyone loved to hate. I keep hoping it will happen while Andy is still around. But with his cancer at a stage 4 diagnosis. It's anyone's guess/.

The other performances that they did on this show especially on the song " No you don't " he was smiling as well. He really looked like he was having fun up there performing and the joy was evident. I'm from the UK. It's virtually impossible for me to pick my absolute favourite song because there are so many ! A few years ago I had the privilege of having my Listener's Top Ten favourite hit singles played on my local radio station and my choices kicked off with 'Love is Like Oxygen' ( which is Andy's favourite) and it sounded great to hear Sweet being blasted out over the airways ! I also love 'The Sixteens' ( which was Brian's favourite) and so many more. 'Blockbuster' made a massive impression upon me when I was a child and 'Hellraiser' was the first single that I ever bought and I still have it ! 'Little Willy' was a favourite of mine from even earlier. Their hard rock B-sides were also great and one self-written B-side that was a lovely vocals dominated song that I have always loved is 'You're Not Wrong For Loving Me' . BTW Steve's favourite is 'Fox on the Run' I'm not sure what Mick's favourite Sweet hit was .

1974, I was a 12 yr old Aussie born girl of Greek immigrant parents, and grew up on the music of the greatest Greek singers and Dean Martin, Tom Jones, Doris Day, Shirley Bassey. Then, SWEET came along with Fox On The Run, Ballroom Blitz, and Action. Now I'm 61 yrs old and this retired University Librarian wench, still LOVES to crank up music by the legendary SWEET, such an underrated band, with four extremely talented guys, which were sadly beset by bad luck. Mick Tucker is the GREATEST and hottest drummer ever, next to Queen's Roger Taylor. And the unforgettable Queen and Thin Lizzy were my other faves. The voices of the 3 late, greats Brian Connolly, Freddie Mercury and Phil Lynott, were AMAZING. I'm so grateful I grew up with the very BEST music from the 70's and 80's; with Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Rolling Stones. As for women, no one could surpass the phenomenal, Linda Ronstadt, Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summer, Stevie Nicks, Tina Turner and many more.

@@billsager5634 I don't think you can blame it all on Brian, tbh. The attack (or 'hit' on him as Steve calls it in his biography) must have had an effect on him surely, I think he probably had PTSD, as well as always seeming to be the one on the outside of the guys and Andy's thinly disguised contempt for him must have made things difficult at times. I think that's mainly why he left the band. The problem is always when a band loses such an outstanding and loved frontman, how to carry on? The Stones have survived losing two guitars and a drummer now, but would they have survived losing Mick? Probably not.
