People have no idea what these officers go through. My husband was an officer for 25 years. They carry those mental, and at times, physical scars for the rest of their lives, just like the military. The public is quick to judge these officers though, no matter what the circumstances are. They have been through Columbine High School shooting, the first mass high school shooting in the country. We had the mass shooting at the movie theater as well, which took many lives and crippled people for life. Chucky Cheese Pizza was another shooting which killed several teenagers who worked there. Unfortunately, some of these officers ended their career because of what they had to deal with. They put their lives on the live every day for us. If they could only walk in the shoes of an officer to actually see what they go through, it would be an eye opener.
@@diannau3215 And they don't get paid near enough considering what kind of job they do, in my personal opinion. I have however heard many people try and stretch the truth (or at least try to misrepresent it by saying things like "I work at the mayor's office...." 3. A thing I can actually comment on is first responderts, as I have had the pleasure of serving in the military and later as a volunteer firefighter, and no medically trained personell would react like this, she just screamed, did nothing to assist him, made wild statements, stood/sat there and did nothing... (you can find the uncensored video). Someone who is trained as a first responder / medical personell of any kind, especially when treating someone close to you, you would not be likely to behave that way. A BB Gun can cause damage too! The lady who is claiming that the dude shot pulling a BB Gun was a benign action, when in actuality could’ve caused major injury!

Exactly. If they had shut the heck up and allowed the officer to calmly do his job and maybe de-escalate the suspect’s situation maybe he wouldn’t have had to do that.
Not only did he miss a briefing but the entire department failed in that regard as well, no one told him or anything, and he was allowed to go in with the first wave.
I agree that some of the blame is on that officer for going even while he missed a briefing. I agree with the other comments that a lot of the blame should be on the department for allowing him to go.
The first one gosh, that one really had me. It was so heartwarming to see that every single officer on duty plus every single citizen that was around, not that there was many, but they had his back. That one guy yelling and he did that he did that it wasn’t you. It was him he did that. Then the suspect raised the gun and pointed it at the cop - WTF would any officer take your word that he has no gun over what he can see with his own eyes. That was nobody’s fault but the person aiming a gun at the cop. I get that the family feel sad but they need to accept that their relative did this to himself. He did have a gun despite what you said.
That first cop is a real one. I hope he finds the peace he deserves. I can't imagine the struggle officers face every day trying to inforxe the law while handling such tough emotions. They are truly heros
It's so easy to forget that cops and soldiers and bodyguards are human too. With very few exceptions, they don't want to kill anyone more than the rest of us. My heart goes out to these officers ❤
certain people love to hate on the cops but imagine doing this job on a daily basis in a country where there are more guns then people must be the hardest job in the world.
It is hard, which is why they should be trained much longer than 3 months to become a deputy. They should have the training of a 2 year sergeant. UK trains their police for 2 to 3 years which is great and informing. Their freedom of speech laws are dastard though which I do not support.
@@Zeep_goblin i completely agree!! 3 months is definitely not enough time. With everything that's been happening you'd think they would want trained cops instead of people dieing.

@Zeep_goblin I'm not sure where you get that they are trained for only 3 months. In NC they are in an academy for several months, THEN more training in the field with a training Officer before release on their own and they also have a probationary time after that....soooo....I'm quite sure most States are the same.

We tell them they're emotionless then call them weak when they show emotion. They do what they're supposed to do,what they have to do, they don't ask for praise or anything in return most of the time. And we repay then by telling them we'd rather be stuck in the woods with a bear? Have those women ever even met a bear?? I know this isn't wat you were talking about, sorry to rant. That second one is hard to watch. 😢
I know right? That cop tried to murder someone simply for having a gun on them. Hard to watch how incompetent and evil cops are.
I’ve said it before, cops run toward the danger, they are a different kind of human. And when they show they are still human after a tragedy, God Bless them!

@@SuperSayinSolidSnekYes, because the 380 ( _not_ 500, but wtv still a high number ) all had commanding positions, of course.

@@SuperSayinSolidSnek Always love watching people argue against generalizing an entire group of people based on the actions of a few and then do the same thing when it comes to cops. Just because some cops are bad does not mean all cops are bad, and just because some cops are good does not mean all cops are good. Cops regularly put their lives on the line, and have to do all the dirty work nobody else wants to do.
All in all, the police in Uvalde were definitely an outlier, as that was a case of the chain of command failing and shit communication, and a gross violation of protocols.
@@caricadurr when did I argue against generalizing anyone? Just another cop sucker inventing a narrative
Maybe not every cop is a bad person, but in doing their job, they become bad. The job of a cop is to protect property not people. They don't even have an obligation to protect the public. @caricadurr
It's understandable hearing how sad the officers get when they do something they didn't mean to or were forced to. That anger and fear always becomes sadness in a lot of people, so I can understand how they feel. I've never done anything like that, but I know how that anger or fear can affect people.
We are considered EMPATHS 💯 we FEEL their pain 💔
well yeah its normal to be sad if you hurt someone dude
In the UK BB guns have to be 52% coloured & not green, grey, sand; basically ANY armed forces colour. Mine is black, blue & pink. I am also NEVER allowed to show it in public or carry in without its locked case in the boot. The exception being at a gun club or organised BB event!
In America, they should have the orange tip. People take it off so it looks real, and that’s what leads to these situations and shootings. People showing guns and then someone pulls a real one. Tbh, it’s the wild west in America.
what’s crazy is that i’m pretty sure the gun didn’t even have an orange tip
In the US they just need an orange tip as far as I’m aware, though it’s easy to paint over that or break the orange bit off I hear, and also on the flip side I hear some criminals paint real guns with orange tips to pretend they’re not real.
@@Yoda_16358a lot of the time they’re made to be broken off or screwed off, we bought realistic guns for our backyard role playing games when we were younger and they were literally made to take off, this was about a decade ago at this point tho so laws can change.

I've never gotten ahold of them myself so I was just going off what my dad used to tell me since he's used them before (the closest I personally have gotten to them so far was collecting the BBs that neighbors shot in the backyards just for fun lol)
For the bb gun one, as a person who plays airsoft and stuff like that, i know not to be stupid and point my airsoft guns at people, because i know they look VERY. REAL. If there is no orange tip on the end of it, the only obvious exterior sign is the inner barrel, which the officer obviously couldn't see. Whoever had the bb gun was an idiot.
And the lady is so mad at the cop, but its obviously her own stupidity since she didn’t consider it as a weapon because all she knows it was a bb gun .
BB guns can also be lethal. So either way it was justified.
I wouldn't even bring it in a public, If I am in public and going to a camp or an airsoft shop, it would remain in a car and sealed in the case
It was an obvious suicide
My thing is tho even if the lady said it’s a BB gun but what if it was a real gun. In that situation the adrenaline kicks in and the BB gun looked like a real gun. Dude saw what looked like a gun and his fight or flight mode kicked in. You see something that looks dangerous your mind flips a switch and everything around you disappears and you only see what’s in front of you and that becomes your main focus. It’s even worse when you know the job you’re in is dangerous and so it makes it seem like you’re in a battlefield. Not in a war zone but it’s something in your mind that triggers it to make it seem like one.
18:15 That is the most relaxed insane officer behavior I've ever seen. Everyone is just chilling while talking to a man playing with a gun in his hand. Most officers would have lit the car up right there.
Insane is right. His comment about waiting for the real police to show up doesn't seem so crazy after watching all of them aiming tasers at him through windows when he's messing around with a gun. And then one of them said something about not chasing him when he ran off. How that guy survived that long in that interaction is crazy.
Some of these cops need to grow a pair
His wife told the officers that the gun wasn't loaded and I guess that they believed her.

10:52 You can say I told you he didn’t have a gun as much as you like, but HE DID!!! The officer has no way of knowing it was a BB gun, he repeatedly told him to come out with his hands up and gave him a million chances. Then the suspect raised the gun and pointed it at the cop - WTF would any officer take your word that he has no gun over what he can see with his own eyes. That was nobody’s fault but the person aiming a gun at the cop. I get that the family feel sad but they need to accept that their relative did this to himself. How those boots taste?
certain people love to hate on the cops but imagine doing this job on a daily basis in a country where there are more guns then people must be the hardest job in the world.
Ironically, police in the US are more likely to die on duty in a car accident than by a gun, yet it’s the gun they are most afraid of. In one third of traffic fatalities of on duty police officers they are not wearing their seat belt.
@Zeep_goblin I'm not sure where you get that they are trained for only 3 months. In NC they are in an academy for several months, THEN more training in the field with a training Officer before release on their own and they also have a probationary time after that....soooo....I'm quite sure most States are the same.

@ lol that is simply not the point, yes a BB gun can be deadly but so can a spatula and we aren’t going starting shooting barbecue goers anytime soon.
