Thank you Cassandra Castro for taking the time to share all you did about your wonderful father. We can see how loving and caring a man he was...because you are a loving and caring human being. You are the one who carries the most important message that this person, Michael, needs to hear. God bless you Cassandra for being unashamed to share the Gospel Message of our Lord.

When the witness sounds like she has a mouthful of marbles it’s just unintelligible. I can’t imagine the court reporter trying to make sense of it.

It appears that Michael and his sister have a very dull affect an inability to communicate and are unable to put cohesive sentences together Presumably they were ignored for the most part and had no intellectual stimulation whatsoever In your case although highly dysfunctional I'm guessing that the people in your family when they were not having episodes were more intelligent and able to communicate and somehow transfer that on to you genetically and in some ways environmentally or maybe you had a mentor or early schooling that was good or grandparents because things don't happen in a vacuum but that said you deserve all the credit and congratulations on living a successful life and a moral one for your children.❤
I'm sorry for what happened to you in your young life. But I am proud of you for being strong & doing good with your life. Not letting that abuse destroy you.
You should be proud, my mother grew up with an abusive alcoholic father, incest, drug abuse, in and out of prison, verbally, mentally and physically abusive. There was no structure, not encouraged to pursue further education, sexual abuse then happened to my cousin...my mother didn't drink or do drugs. However, throughout my entire life and I'm 51, she has struggled with severe depression, in and out of mental institutions my whole life and it has had a huge affect on me because I have always had to be the mother. She would verbally, sometimes physically assault my Dad and at 8 years old try to protect him. But, he has fiercely stuck by her, and I mean FIERCELY. He grew up in an even worse situation. They chose to not allow alcohol or drugs in their home and I am grateful they intentionally chose to break that cycle. However, at the age of 35 I had a, I guess it's called a "nervous breakdown". I had to leave my job, admitted 3 times into mental health facilities, put on many different medications, to this day I see a therapist once a week, a psychiatrist, was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, and OCD. My grandfather was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, my mother was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and it is hereditary. It didn't hit me until I was 35. I didn't have a chance to have a real childhood and like many people with parents with mental illness. But, I refuse to live like my mom, full of anger and passive aggressive behavior, alienate person after person. That behavior has left a lot of anger and frustration towards her. I still manage to have a close relationship with her. I don't want to harbor bad feelings so I don't do the same things despite my illness. I also decided to break the changes. I furthered my education and before early retirement I had a great career. But, LIKE my mother I married a man that has stuck by me in sickness in health. I decided I never wanted to live like my grandparents, my parents and just be different. We have a sober home intentionally. We just didn't want to have the same life and attitude or resentment. She can't or maybe just won't change. But, I can remove myself from her presence when I feel myself feeling bitterness. Like you, I chose a different path! You should be proud. 😊
@@kimberlysmith1282 What this generation has , psychologically speaking thst the former generations have not is the body of research that depicts the structure of the brain by way of fmri Imaging and other techniques. What this has provided is how chemicals in the brain change with stress and the actual shape of the forebrain changes with trauma .The neuroscience called Neuroplasticity and there are articles and research papers on the subject on the internet ,can actually reverse some of the damage to the brain done by PTSD I know that doctors are quick to prescribe medication which in most cases are not helpful and are often harmful and create more depression but if you absolutely need psychotropic medication then by all means as a temporary solution then of course . I also think that modern psychologists are very quick to label certain mental conditions but I think those are exaggerated sometimes as well. I think all of these behaviors that you're describing that are generational are because of lack of impulse control and I think might be classified as addictions as you probably know. All addictions are pretty much the same - food ,sex ,drugs ,alcohol abuse so once a person figures out what the underlying cause of all the addictions is the resolution is at hand and the cycle is broken. You mentioned that you had what might be classified as a nervous breakdown but who knows it could be a nervous breakthrough because often those crises are an opportunity to take a real look at the history and get the help the family needs to break the cycle and sometimes they can be a gateway to the underlying factors because quite frankly a lot of people just remain in denial never get the help they need because they don't have an acute situation or crisis that forces them to figure out what's happening to them. I'm sorry that you had to be the mother to those that should have cared for you but I hope that you find something within yourself very soon that is nurturing for you and I wish you all the best.
Did judge Boyd just shut down GOD? That was the most beautiful, genuine, heartfelt statement I’ve ever heard. I wish the judge hadn’t cut her off. Especially after she let that trash mom go on & on!
I think the judge made a mistake too, but it was a bit too long and I don’t think the defense attorney could have held back tears much longer. The prosecutor as well had a few tears.
Talking about finding redemption through Jesus was an amazing gift to give the young man who killed her father. Saying God is speaking through you is quite a claim to make. She did give him the chance to see his prison sentence as a time to redeem himself. Which is a huge gift.
Thank you Cassandra!! You are a true disciple of our savior Jesus Christ!! I’ve watched judge Boyd’s videos and I’ve never heard the court room so quiet before!! Amen!!🙏🏼🙏🏼
The daughter of the victim brought me to tears. What she said was remarkable, in this day and age with the cynicism of society. I am an ordained minister and I ask God to give her and her family, peace. I also will pray for the defendant.
LOL I have noticed other purses but you are right, she loves her beautiful purses. I like the yellow one and the red one. She deserves them. She is an awesome woman.
There is one channel that streams her videos that when they refer back to a specific case they named the purse she had that day! I totally get it I'm a tomboy but I love my purses!
Thanks for the victim statement. It makes this real and NOT for entertainment. Thank you GOD! THANK you! For my chance a good life after a horrible childhood. Sobriety will change the world. One person at a time! God bless you Mrs. Castro, may your pain be replaced with moments of joyful memories!

You don’t have to lie to get viewers. Judge Boyd is a national treasure. I appreciate you posting this, and I hope you share a sense of the same integrity that she encourages us all to have. You don’t have to lie to get me to watch JBoyd videos.
Cassandra Castro I am so sorry for your loss! Your father and our Father in Heavan are so proud of you. You took this horrific act and turned into an opportunity to show forgiveness and minister to this young man. I heard every word and prayed with you. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Girl, you testify.. Praise the Lord!! Get behind him, Satan. Out of every impact statement that I have heard, this has to be the hands down best and most empathetic impact statement that I've heard. Bless them and the families and the outcome.
So this is what happens when the people who are responsible for a child’s safety don’t act when they see a problem. CPS can’t act without evidence, and they don’t have the legal right to enter a home without parents’ permission. On top of that they have to weigh risk against the damage they do separating kids from their parents, their home, the world they know. Don’t have a kid unless you are healthy, know how to parent and can financially support them.
Maybe I'm heartless, but literally nothing the sister or mother said has any relevance to the case at all. The convict should be sentenced based on the severity of the crime with no regard to how anyone *feels* about it.
I want to be Cassandra when I grow up! I only wish I could be that strong and take that opportunity when the murderer HAS to listen to her and then witness to not only him but the entire court room. WOW!
Don’t forget all the viewers on YT too that were watching that by the time she came on were invested and wanted to hear what she had to say - so they no doubt stayed to listen! Not only on this channel but the day this happened in court-and all the replays! That was amazing! What a strong woman she is! I don’t think I could forgive like she has. I may need to re-evaluate my life. I would like to think I could - but man she had me crying! I hope she is richly blessed for that! Have a great weekend! 😊
You don’t even have to have all the symptoms to have those problems. It really sucks when they don’t find out what all is mentally wrong. Makes life so much harder
I am so tired of people committing crimes and expecting to get away with it by blaming it on drug addiction while also blaming that drug addiction on how they were raised. NOT everyone who has had a bad childhood makes stupid choices. That’s all on the individual themselves. Our world is falling apart because we have taken responsibility for actions out of the hands of the people who are actually responsible. They have WAY too many excuses for their decisions given to them by people who are responsible for making the laws and rules.
Man, I know attorneys have to use every excuse in the book to represent zealously….among other things I was beaten by a grandparent when we broke the rules. I’m talking bend over and a leather belt. Older siblings really have trouble with her memory. I’m like, we knew what would happen if we misbehaved - we chose to anyway sometimes. Man, so to witness alcohol abuse, witness domestic violence. How about beatings. Graduated high school, made a life for myself. It’s the choices you make for yourself. I didn’t do drugs. Big choice! But if you choose drugs….gotta pay the big consequences.
❤I do agree it's a choice but I do think about woman and young girls who are manipulated or even made to do drugs so that they will want more therefore the man or woman can have total controll over them . I know I'm kinda getting a little off the issue here but I do agree with and like your comment. ❤
There is aIways a choice. Abeit hard or not, is up to you and how badIy they get the outcome they desire. Like you, I went thru the same. Only difference, my grandma made sure I never forgot she hated my dad, w/a passion. Up untiI age 12 and no Ionger needing a baby~sitter (IegaIIy), I received a “Get my (Ieather) beIt” whippin’, whether deserved or not. I knew not to misbehave while my mom was @work, or my gramma would be my baby~sitter again. AIso, my mom was as abusive as my grandma, but w/just more verbaI abuse than physicaI. Worst I did smoke MaryJ & drink a couple years in HS, but not enough to make them into habits. I wanted more out of Iife, than becoming the next strung~out bum on the streets, begging for change to buy Iiquor &/or smoke.
I understand the mother is trying to speak positively on her son's behalf, but to say she never had any problems with her son, in my opinion, puts a serious dent in her credibility.
This was so difficult to listen to. Judge Boyd, SPEAKS TRUTH. As someone in recovery, trust and believe, an addict/alcoholic is LYING, about everything, when active in their addiction. We all make choices and decisions. Make them honestly with opened heart, mind and eyes. Life is to short to do otherwise.
That is a powerful impact statement and the most truth spoken in that whole hearing. Blessed are those that forgive and share the good news. May the Lord grand her peace and comfort while grieving the loss of her father🙏
I love the doctor who testified for the defense for the young man. He really explained how childhood trauma and the effects of having drug abusing parents affect people. I would love to hear more from him. I hope the young man can get the help he needs and recover.

Especially after she let that trash mom go on & on!
she didn't get to finish her statement cuz judge was feeling uncomfortable....
Seriously, clickbaiting is no way to grow your channel. There's way too much competition out there to do that, do better.
Mom's on drugs herself.
Thank you Cassandra!! You are a true disciple of our savior Jesus Christ!! I’ve watched judge Boyd’s videos and I’ve never heard the court room so quiet before!! Amen!!🙏🏼🙏🏼
In the end he needs to be accountable for his actions
Remarkable victim impact statement, remarkable woman !
This Father, in this Impact Statement, is probably up in heaven saying, “Did you catch that? Yep, that’s my daughter! Mine.”
That impact statement! Amen girl.
The daughter of the victim brought me to tears. What she said was remarkable, in this day and age with the cynicism of society. I am an ordained minister and I ask God to give her and her family, peace. I also will pray for the defendant.
horrible -- i love this judge -- horrible -- this judge is honorable and fair in all of the cases I've watched
Judge Boyd has 365 purses at least. Has anyone ever noticed she never has the same purse sitting next to her?😂
The late Queen of England had a lot of hats and outfits, Judge Boyd has her purses! They are awesome by the way!
LOL I have noticed other purses but you are right, she loves her beautiful purses. I like the yellow one and the red one. She deserves them. She is an awesome woman.
@@brendaarnold8485 now I'm noticing different glasses!!!! You can tell that she's a woman of detail
How many different wigs do you think she has
There is one channel that streams her videos that when they refer back to a specific case they named the purse she had that day!
The victim's daughter had such a beautiful response. It was very heartwarming and heart felt. I hope it helps others stop before evil is done for the future. One person makes a difference.
Cassandra taking this time to share the love of Jesus with this defendant is amazing!
So who yelled and cursed out our beloved judge? Was that a typo or click bate? I love your channel. Plz plz don't do click batting. I watch all content from you because you do awesome videos.
PS This wasn't the 1st time.
You don’t have to lie to get viewers. Judge Boyd is a national treasure. I appreciate you posting this, and I hope you share a sense of the same integrity that she encourages us all to have. You don’t have to lie to get me to watch JBoyd videos.
I am openly weeping. I hope that boy has heard even half of what she has said.
The words of the daughter were not just for the defendant but the whole court for we are all guilty of sin Thankyou for your forgiveness Lord 😇JESUS
Thanks for the thumb up😇
That defense attorney has to pull answers out of the family members. Seriously you want to help Michael SPEAK UP! Be strong geez
I remember this case. This mother set her son up for failure
Beautiful impact statement ❤
Cassandra Castro I am so sorry for your loss! Your father and our Father in Heavan are so proud of you. You took this horrific act and turned into an opportunity to show forgiveness and minister to this young man. I heard every word and prayed with you. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Girl, you testify.. Praise the Lord!! Get behind him, Satan. Out of every impact statement that I have heard, this has to be the hands down best and most empathetic impact statement that I've heard. Bless them and the families and the outcome.
Who ever was moved by Cassandra’s statement, can I get an Amen🙏🏾
So this is what happens when the people who are responsible for a child’s safety don’t act when they see a problem. CPS can’t act without evidence, and they don’t have the legal right to enter a home without parents’ permission. On top of that they have to weigh risk against the damage they do separating kids from their parents, their home, the world they know. Don’t have a kid unless you are healthy, know how to parent and can financially support them.
That young man never had a chance! He will be out and pray he heals and gets help. I had to when I was younger
I feel so bad for the man’s daughter, family and friends. She was very gracious. I will pray for them and the young man, this is tragic.
Judge Boyd is my hero ❤!
Maybe I'm heartless, but literally nothing the sister or mother said has any relevance to the case at all.
The convict should be sentenced based on the severity of the crime with no regard to how anyone *feels* about it.
Those drugs can cause violent outbursts, having a hard time believing mental health. They always try to throw that in to get someone off
I want to be Cassandra when I grow up!
Judge’s concise summary for this unfortunate young man was exceptional and wise. I hope this man comprehended her information
A mother that uses meth with her kids doesn’t make a very good witness. Smh
I never seen anyone yell?
Thank you. Not going to waste my time...
😂 didn't think anyone was that ignorant to holler at Judge Boyd
That was totally clickbait. This channel is going to lose many subscribers because of it. No need for it!!!
You don’t even have to have all the symptoms to have those problems. It really sucks when they don’t find out what all is mentally wrong. Makes life so much harder
AMEN. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. ❤❤❤
Parent and son using together.
I will call my dad and my mom later.
I will thank them and they will have no idea why.
God bless this beautiful daughter and I pray that God will bless her for her obedience and for her forgiving heart. 🙏🏾
Bless this child that lost her dad and knows her father ❤❤
I love the doctor who testified for the defense for the young man. He really explained how childhood trauma and the effects of having drug abusing parents affect people. I would love to hear more from him. I hope the young man can get the help he needs and recover.
