Albert Lee is a master of his craft and highly underrated, never grabs the spotlight, pops up playing with many artists, I get the impression he'd play with anyone who thinks they might be able to keep up but the next time you see him he is just one of the band.
my Dad taped this from the TV when it first aired. watched it a hell of a lot when i was small (i'd have been 3 when this was recorded). just, great! and ace to see it appearing on TH-cam. have been fortunate enough to meet Albert on a number of occasions and his down to earth nature is something i admire even more than his phenomenal guitar playing (which i've been a huge fan of for as long as i can remember)
Stunning version of Hoyt Axton's great song... Here Albert demonstrates what a songbird he is...Not only is he perhaps the best picker guitarist on the planet as most who see him perform claim (as do many top guitarists including Eric Clapton and Vince Gill) but the man has great pipes too. Albert Lee is a master.
Albert Lee ,, a close friend to Hank Garland. We will never forget Albert Lee. He is the kindest Musician I've ever met. Hank loved Albert Lee very much.
greatest picker playing my favorite country song. he backed Jonathan edwards on this song in the fabulous Hot Band with emmy Lou the best country band ever.
2024 about the 30th time over the years I've returned here to hear this man sing, so sweet

Albert Lee is purely a gift from God to the rest of us, not many Gentlemen of rock left sadly.
Sadly true Colin, seen him 5/6 times with Hogans Heroes amazed at how humble and easy to talk to he is and no ego whatsoever🎸💎🔥🌟☘️

Not sure which one I like best Hoyt’s or Alberts one thing for sure both are classic
Imagine this song with Hoyt Axton's beautiful deep baritone Voice and Albert's superp guitar playing 👍🏻..
Hoyt Axton would have tipped his hat and said " Well Done "
Written and originally sung by Hoyt Axton
We need to put Albert on the endangered species list because he's one of a kind.
A museum piece.
@stelvans I wondered the same thing--there's no accounting for taste.
Willmcfarlane1 The sad fact is some people have plain old atrocious taste in music.
very nice.
Which fuckin goon clicked dislike.
Alan Shearer An idiot who can’t play guitar well enough to appreciate a master.
Evangelina's old man?
