    If you turn the jeans inside out and steam with an iron or steamer while manually stretching the open waistband (working gradually from one end to the other), you can gain 4-6cm+. It's pretty darn effective 👌

    I've opted for option 5. Started 10 days ago. Currently lost 9lbs. Alls I have done is cut out sugar snacks.
    Increased fibre and healthy eating. 12lbs to go.

    I've lost weight recently and some of favorite jeans fit me again! I'll have to go through my other jeans to see which ones don't fit

    Many years ago, I would place the waist of the jeans around the backrest of an old wooden chair, then leave them there for a day or more, and it did help! This would emulate some degree of "wearing them" but without actually wearing them.
    These days I have the opposite problem- I've lost weight. Currently I have one pair that fit me perfectly, a couple that I am regularly doing mini alterations to, and a PILE that require more involving alterations- which I haven't had a chance to start lol

    I have a pants waist stretcher and you're right. It's to give you an inch max. I've only used it on duck canvas though, I've never used it on denim. Funny thing is I got it and now I've lost 80 pounds, around 35-37 kilos I guess. Now my pants are getting taken in. Lol

      @@CeeAreDee thank you. Hormel Compleats get all the credit. They made it really easy to control my calories.

    When squatting, you can also do bunny hops. May help little but it's aerobic or something.

      I guess people who buy really expensive jeans are more upset when they outgrow them.

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy ปีที่แล้ว

      Now have this problem with some nice wool or linen pants and I might be sympathetic.

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't really tried the tailor with more expensive pants because usually when I show up with any project more difficult than a standard cuff or hem, they give me some long lecture about how I'm asking them to redesign the pyramids or something and then either say it can't be done or quote me a price that makes a new pair sound more reasonable. Yet all the menswear channels still talk about tailoring clothes as if it's some realistic option. Your results may vary.

      OR, try losing the weight BEFORE wearing them for a bike ride? Wait...

      I used to LOVE warm jeans straight out of the drier on cold mornings, but now the driers are all crap.

    I've thought about looking into finding some women's shapewear to see if that would help; my job and child doesn't allow me to work out to loose weight, but thankfully we have the summer off, so it'll be easier then, in the meantime I'm working on eating healthier to smooth the transition.

    • @CeeAreDee
      @CeeAreDee  ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe stay away from the shapewear. Can’t imagine that’s healthy for the body. Ok for a specific occasion once in a while but not for every day. The eating healthy sounds much better.

      I know this was an older comment but I agree with his response to you. As a woman who's very familiar with spanx and the like, shapewear is ok for special occasions but after a few hours, there's going to be some serious discomfort from having everything squished in for so long. And when done over many days, the back starts to hurt, ribs can get sore and you'll feel like you have a weird constant stomach ache. Wearing a waist cincher consistently is pretty arduous which is why it's referred to as "waist training" and is supposed to be done in very small increments to start with. It can be pretty tough on the body (and the mind too because powering through that pain for any significant period of time is ROUGH, let's be real 😂)
      Just steam the waist of the jeans with a very hot iron while also manually stretching the waistband on your ironing board. You can get like 4-6cm+ depending on the type of denim. 👌
