I have the kalediscope version of the "chart" rundown on the uncut version from August 5, 1976. Well perhaps this is the edited version, but it's just a great performance from a 23 yr old Midge Ure before he joined The Rich Kids, Thin Lizzy, and Ultravox.
Silk never last long as a band. Forever and ever jump on glam rock trend when it faded same with reqiurm prog rock was fading tge 3td single tge kid a punk trying to jump on the punk bandwagon but people heard the other singles confused the audience and fan base
Terrible Bill Martin-Phil Coulter song ... should have given it to there other headline band ... the Bay City Rollers. No wonder Midge left being obliged to record garbage like this. Roll on the Rich Kids in 1978.
Lol, I've never seen or heard this song before! It's pretty bad, I think! I love Forever And Ever and Requiem and still have both those songs on 7" single! This one though, hmmmmm. Reading further down I see it's a song Midge Ure hates and I'm not surprised! It's a bit cringey. Rich Kids were next, I take it? Much better. It's amazing the different bands Midge was in that all sounded so different from each other.
Truly dreadful load of old cack.....I remember reading how Midge Ure was approached by Malcolm McLaren and asked to audition to be vocalist for the forming Sex Pistols when they were still getting the band together in mid-1975.....What a ghastly thought!!....Thank God he refused the offer and Johnny Rotten was found soon afterwards lol
