What do you think about Part 2? Too detailed? I tried to cram in everything I considered important, but the Talmberg section became even longer than the Skalitz prologue. Next time: Rattay! Enjoy :) ► Subscribe for more Completionist Walkthroughs: goo.gl/9r9H74
More details means more runtime. I like it! One of the things that really sets you apart from other walkthroughs or let's plays is exactly that kind of premeditation and detail. The minmaxing nature of it really appeals to me. Looking forward to the next part
I have honestly really enjoyed the series so far, I tried the game and liked it well enough but seeing you go through everything I missed has me wanting to go back and finish the game. I appreciate all the details you include I think the run time is good.
Id also like it if maybe you did some content that was a little less polished sometimes? like a lets play or something like that. Cause honestly im here for my enjoyment of watching you play games and how you think rather then the game itself or the tutorial
Don't think your over explaining at all. Your giving an optional checklist that creates a great start, things people might not think about. If you were explaining how to pick locks or fight enemies that would be overexplaining. That's things you don't come to Pete for, you got plenty of how to video's out there covering that. But as long as your talking about where to go, what to do there, why to do so, and not spoiling any of the story beats other than when to do stuff compared to the story (like second time you wake up is the perfect time to go lockpicking)...I'm loving it! Please keep it up, I stopped my playthrough and started a new one and I'll be playing right along with you and man did I never think about some of these things and spend too much time doing other things that didn't matter (like looting bodies at that first place along the track back to Skalitz). Greatest tips in this video are the horse saddle (WOW that saves some money later), where to dump your goods so you can get them later and not be overburdened, where to dig in Skalitz besides your home...well this list might go on too long, but EXCELLENT series. WTB more like this!
All the lock-picking, if this game was even more realistic. When everyone wakes up and finds all locks picked and items stolen. All the attention would be on newcomer Henry XD
Pro tip: "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" and "Deliverance" on Steam are two extremely differnet games, as I found out when looking into buying this game after Part 1
because of you i bought kingdom come deliverance, and have been following your guide! Lovely seeing the second episode up, means I can continue playing :D
I would recommend playing it on your own for the first time. Even if you want to play Hardcore Mode. It's a truly immersive journey which is best explored on one's own :)
@@alexandergorny3232 agreed. I started playing on hardcore mode for my first playthrough i feel like i would really miss out on what the game has to offer if i didn't.
I don't feel you're over-explaining at all, but then again I haven't played KC:D, or even really heard much about it beyond some people praising it in general. That said, this series is absolutely making me want to give it a try! Can't wait to see more!
It's honestly top 3 if not number 1 RPG I've ever played. It's so great top to bottom. DEFINITELY pick it up and play, nothing else really makes you feel like you are actually the character like this one does
Do you know the feeling when someone else is driving and they run a red light, you were anticipating deceleration and...nothing? After my yearly Rimworld binge that is how I feel every time when I don't hear 'Rimworld' after Pete's salute. Even though I finished KCD 20+ times, these are my most anticipated episodes!
You can pretty much safely loot the entire castle whilst everyone (bar the peasants) are on the battlements when you get woken up. Although you are encouraged to take the horse, there is honestly not much point given that you lose them when you get to Skalitz, so you might as well load up with all your goodies from the Castle and slow walk your way to the Inn in Tamberg and stash everything in the shared Chest.
As a small note, the Balanced Diet perk is not necessarily permanent. The Vitality and Agility bonus will only apply for as long as you maintain your balanced diet. The first five days are necessary to activate the bonus initially, and then the bonus persists until you break your streak by over/under eating.
17:45 This was actually how I got out of there my first time playing. I knew what my character wanted, was told I couldn't leave, and so as soon as I could move I began trying to find an escape and just booked it right back home to very quickly find myself beat into the dirt.
This game really looks quite fun, I wish you were gonna do a full playthrough on it. Your videos are always really high quality and entertaining! But oh well, I guess that just means I'll have to play it for myself!
I had an unexplainable experience, i looted one of the skalitz guard before coming to talmsbarg and had the guards gear equipped and the gate guard skipped the convo about me dressing up and just let me pass. So I missed out on the money from lady stephanie. Looks like it doesn't matter what type of guard you dress up like as long as its a guard.
if you get arrested you also get thrown out of the castle.was a nice surprise for me had to walk all the way till I unlocked rattay. Thanks for showing the inn, I was looking all over for the inn in the castle
I do like the miniseries angle, but to be honest watching this just makes me want the series to keep going until the end of game... Even if the guide stuff is dropped and its just a normal playthrough
Thanks for the Video Pete! Fantastic cover of this next section, with I think a perfect amount of detail xD, with a number of things I missed in my playthroughs. Truly a vast game with a learning curve that feels like a circle at times. Makes it nice to hear some of the why to go with the what.
I have been meaning to play through this game for a while now and now I have the eperfect excuse! Great level of detail, its helping me actually move through the game with a sense of confidence. Thank you for your content, I was looking forward to part 2 of this series and was really happy to see it come out when I got home from work.
This series is great! Makes me wish to see a full play through of this from you. Starting the game by using all the advice you gave along with having more advice for later sections.
I have played this twice and didn't know about the villagers asking about skalitz, also only chest i ever robed was one of the guard ones for some gear.
There seems to be a weird edit issue at the end of the video (27:16) where you say "consider subscribing or becoming a channel member" twice. Dunno if that can be fixed after uploading though
i wan to play this game at some point, but im playing minecraft right now. At this point im just having this video on the second screen because I like listening to petes voice explaining things
Great vídeo, Pete! Keep up the good work! By the way, what are the game settings you are using? They seem to achieve (see what I did there? 😏) a good balance between quality and performance.
Stolen items will lose their stolen tag after some time, the amount is based on the worth of the item. So just stash everything and they will forget it was stolen after some time.
I literally don't care about Kingdom Come (probably a great game, just not interested). Yet here I am, clicking on the video the second I saw it because of Pete
You can play the game committing as many or as few crimes as you want. Obviously being honest is less profitable but that's the price you pay for being a good guy. To give you an idea I finished my first playthrough with lockpicking staying bellow level 4, when in these videos you can see it's entirely possible to get there in the introduction alone.
Pretty easily. just train with Bernard, do the tournament every in game week and take the bandit and Cuman hunting quests. It's slower than just stealing but it's just as viable.
You might be missing out on some of the treasure chests... but then, just "training" your lockpick abilities by sneaking through the night opening every door in sight is not truly dishonest, is it? ;) But even so... yes, you can play the game successfully to the end with an upstanding noble knight Henry.
It sucks that in order to play optimally you have to minmax like this and make choices which would make absolutely zero sense in the real world, and the game is supposed to be immersive.
This is only for hardcore difficulty with all negative perks and/or some achievements though. Otherwise you don't need to minmax at all in order to beat the game
Trust me the game is perfectly enjoyable without playing it "optimally". I got to the end of my first playthrough with both lockpicking and pickpocketing staying bellow level 4. The game really lets you engage with only the elements you want to. This kind of gameplay will make you good money early game, but I've gotten to the point in the midgame where I have more money than I know what to do with just playing normally and looting the most valuable items I come across on enemies I defeat.
What is it with you people and dunking on video games you know next to nothing about? Why is it so discouraging that in order to have the absolute best possible start you have to engage with almost all of the game's mechanics?
@skeetsvar162 I think I wrote my comment too harshly, you're right. I'm not saying the game isn't enjoyable without this kind of minmaxing, obviously then players wouldn't play it. What bothers me it's that the optimal play is completely immersion breaking and illogical, so in a way, in terms of items and exp and such, the game punishes you (or at least doesn't reward you) for making logical choices. I'm not saying it's unenjoyable, BG3 does the same thing and I don't think most people would claim it's a bad game, but I personally don't like this one specific aspect of these RPGs.
@ I think it's simply a consequence of the game giving you a lot of options that choosing to engage in all of them will obviously give you a huge advantage or as you call it an "optimal" experience. Still I think it's equally as obvious that it's not really a route the game expects or demands that you take. It's an option that's there for those that go out of there way to play that way but is in no way required. I think your frustration maybe stems from how you define "optimal". If it's getting absolutely every scrap of loot and every skill point imaginable, then yeah it's going to be a tedious process. I think that's hardly something unique to this game or even RPGs in general. On the other hand "optimal" could simply mean experiencing all the game has to offer that is of interest to you and in that regard I think KCD does a pretty good job for most playstyles.
People just enjoy minmaxing. Its a way to discover new things about the game and shows how deep the mechanics can go. The liberty you have in this game is one the things that make it so great.
Yeah, I will be lockpicking but not doing any looting and not going to be choking people out but appreciate that it get's pointed out as a possibility. I think you can take what you want and leave what you want from these video's but wow does he point out some stuff I never even considered.
