My hair is a dark blackish brown and I never get results like that while using the same hair dye, and my friend with black hair doesn't either. We usually end up having to use it at least 3 times to get that results. On another note my friend with medium to dark brown hair gets the exact results you got. Honestly though when you bleach your hair you never do another round the next day that's just damaging your hair way more than necessary. Between bleaching hair or even dying hair you have to wait 1-2 weeks while doing moisturizing treatments to help the hair recover before doing another round. When you do a 2nd round of dye or bleach the the next day its not giving your hair enough time to recover and will increase the chances of it becoming fragile and breaking off when you do the harsh color removers used for semi permanent dyes and other bleaches. It might now show immediately but after a few years of it you will def see hair becoming stringy and slowly falling out or just simply breaking off giving you a chemical hair cut.
