I saw Thom , and his lovely blonde partner right after they finished a USO tour following the Gulf War. I thought they were excellent, but I never learned either of their names. Just lately i found Thom on utube, and I was so happy that I did. I also found video of them together again, and they were truly amazing. I’ve been trying learn the Guitar for umpteen years, and thanks to Thom I think I can do it now. I’ve always loved Chet Atkins, and I truly enjoyed listening to Thom talk about him. I didn't know who Thom was but I was watching Chet's tape and he said Thom Bresh plays Happy Again better than anyone so I looked up Thom and he was playing in St. Augustine at the Gamble Rogers Festival and I took off for Florida and have been thumbpicking ever since.
Love this guy - huge talent. Mixed his sound down in New Zealand back in 1995 and was able to do him a favour. He returned the favour like a true gentleman.
