That drystoned wall in the walled garden is an absolute piece of art. The Mason for that part of the project should be extremely proud of himself.

It's weird they suggested the walls were constructed dry. The drystone is simply a veneer on a fully mortar-built wall.

"If you work with an AWARD-WINNING architect, then you are in another realm." - yeah, it's called having crap tons of money. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they earned it. And have put it to a spectacular end. The result it just breathtaking and the art collection deserves a video of its own. I just sat watching, stunned, and shaking my head. What a way to go into your retirement years. Maybe they'll adopt me? Or, maybe I can at least visit...

I agree and I don’t. The old form couldn’t deliver what the owners sought. Surprisingly, the house delivers on its interior flow. It is like 2 different era homes adjoined, however. Somehow it works. I love the dry stone wall. Probably cost as much as the house.

@@anamaria2053 Hey Ana! I like what you say "I agree and I don´t" hahaha. Still, I feel like those two adjoined era houses don´t communicate with each other. They are just sitting together. Still, the idea of just two people building a home with this amount of space is kind of staggering. The exterior of the old and the new structures share no common visual vocabulary; so I can’t help but view them as entirely separate structures and not as an integrated whole home.

Nothing is out of place and then you look at something like this and just go WOW.
