I love how UI has a nature that’s the opposite of how it functions, like UI has a violent nature that kills those too weak to hold it, and yet the whole premise of how it works is the user is as calm as possible to the point where their body acts purely on instinct.
To be fair, sometimes I think Carthu exaggerated UI drawbacks just to make the what if short. UI is about moving without thinking to avoid *unnecessary movement* so therefore UI can't kill it user. Even in manga Whis state that UI is breaking Goku body from trying to match Jiren so I believe that no enemy or situation in OG DB would be enough to push Goku UI to the point that kill him or even injured him.
Yeah he went about this all wrong. Goku was battered and beaten because he was trying to match Jiren on top of ultra instinct. Ultra instinct isn't a raw power multiplier like kaioken. It simply requires and calm mind and lack of thought towards movement. Goku would have to train his ultra instinct to be stronger over time but it wouldn't kill him to have the ultra instinct be on just his normal level. Also Goku during the TOP was already beaten and the spirit bomb hurt him badly. Ultra instinct was straining in it's use during the tournament, not it's use in general.
@@Chrpull well not necessarily, there actually is a physical drawback to UI, like when Morro tried to use it and expanded to the point of almost exploding, and it was explained that unlike Goku, Morro’s body simply didn’t have the right training to handle UIs power.

I feel like the issue with this what if. Is that UI is a technique of the gods, which is why goku being a mortal in the anime, and having to achieve a limit breaking god form, is what allows him to use said technique. I agree that for goku in the anime, UI being a transformation makes sense as its obvious it would be since the hair color and body change. But at its core UI is a technique of the gods, which is why we see both angels and gods of destruction able to use it without transformations, which would explain goku needing a god level form to go beyond shattering his limits. Goku is a mortal. So it's more possible it's not so much UI itself that causes the backlash, but the fact that he achieves it through a transformation that literally shatters his limits, and changes him into a being more like an actual god or angel. Which his other forms dont, with ssj God and blue, it's simply him using the power of the gods and divine ki. So the issue comes with, if he was born with UI, would he need the form or not? Imo I'd say NO, cause if UI a technique created by the Angel's for the gods, naturally manifested within goku, it would mean theres no need for a transformation at all, it wouldnt change his potential, hair, or anything really. For him to be born with it, goku would be born as a natural god, meaning he wouldnt has detectable levels of ki. Or if he did, itd be just as low as normally in the anime, or even lower. Which then the course of events would proceed like normally. Till of course, grandpa gohan dropping him and him not getting a hard reset.

Well if he had this power since birth he probably would stay a live since he had it his first day being alive and if that were the case to put it easy goku would become the new god of destruction due to him having it since he was a kid it would be his base form and also since he had it amen dodged the ground he would remember his parents and frieza so he would probably wish his parents back at some point hopefully
Or 3, as he instinctively fades between base and UI form, even since birth, it really doesn't matter if UI takes a toll on the person using it, because if you just get used to the form, you can bypass it's toll without having to overcome it with just power alone.

Wouldn't his body be able to handle it if he was born with it though? In the manga of Super; he's gained what he calls "Perfected Ultra Instinct" which is basically transforming into Ultra Instinct minus the whole dying thing leaving it. I am aware that he can only utilize that form for short periods of time, and that it's still not the "real" Ultra Instinct.
I hope that ultra instinct gets eventually added to dragon ball kakarot with the release of the god transformation right around the corner, it would be interesting to see how they would work it into the story and how they would make it as a transformation or a single mission transformation

Carthu’s Dojo what if’s don’t always have to make sense 100%, the point of a what if is to change the circumstances for a specific situation to take place. That’s why they are fun.
I feel like a more interesting what-if would be if his body could handle that permanently transformed state and his Kakkarot persona was left driving the wheel. It would probably be a more brutal version of Dragon Ball Sai until he got noticed by Whis, at which point it would probably end up like the later parts of your God Ki what-if.
I don't think that the statement of him being killed from having the technique is necessarily true, limit breaker forms are unnatural but if the form was gotten in a more natural way it may not have any effect on the user, despite whatever strength they may have. It would be unfair to believe that the form would actually have any strain at all on you when you didn't break through your limits to obtain it. Also if Goku was strong enough to hold the form from what he believed, aka probably around the strength of a top tier god of destruction assuming that you do need a certain amount of power to use the form then first off his birth would have immediately alerted Whis and possibly even the Grand priest and he would have been immeasurable for the saiyans, Frieza most likely learning of his existence and personally coming to see what it was about, if he measured Goku as anything near his power (which it would actually be way above him) he would have immediately tried to kill the child and because of the nature of ultra instinct would have actually been killed right there by Goku as a child within an instant, Whis would most likely take in Goku after if not before that happens as well and it would end up being an even more OP version of your Goku that was sent to Beerus's world and become God of destruction. Or actual fun option to actually make a what-if instead of taking the cop-out, if he is born with it, then it is thus natural to him, and a technique like that being natural, not learned, would result in him using the angelic technique of Ultra Instinct, wherein his eyes and hair don't change. His body has NO NEED of the transformation in order to reach and use Ultra Instinct, and thus it isn't even a fraction of the strain because it is using a completely natural ability. He has the same graceful dodging and is very hard to hit, while also growing in power quicker, without him killing himself.

Ok, 1. MUI Would not put him in a coma, it would break his body way before that happened. Even if he did once he reactivates it again, he would also then get his body destroyed. 2. Goku’s power level would still be able to be read, since MUI Doesn’t by nature require god ki, it just requires godly training which does give god ki but since in this scenario he would be born with it, his ki would still be detectable. 3. Beerus would be asleep by this point and Whis therefore would be inactive and even if he wasn’t, there’s no real reason to imply that he would be interested in training him especially without permission from Beerus to do so. 4. Carthu has said on stream before that he’s not really interested in this what if since for it to happen, it would require a lot of big gaps in logic and convinces for it to happen and from what I know, carthu likes to make sure his what ifs are possible or at least make sense, again Goku being born with god ki is far different from being born with MUI. Even if Goku could somehow survive someway, it wouldn’t really be an interesting story because of how silly the premise itself is.
I can say that if his power level would go from 2 to up to the billions or higher, since MUI is comparable to a fusion level increase which we know is fighter x fighter according to the super exciting guide; so there’s that if you’re interested
What if Goku was born with the Oozaru wrath form? I believe this would be interesting because 1. Goku's rage would actually matter 2. It's not nearly as OP as ultra instinct 3. Because of 2, it doesn't have such severe physical limitations

Not really. Scouters detect high power levels. It was the reason why Gine and him didn't go with Goku. Goku had a power level of 2 as an infant, so he'd just pass under the radar unlike every other Saiyan.
Not necessarily, yes the form put massive strain on Goku in the TOP but that was when he broke through his limits to obtain it, breaking them further as he mastered the form out of sheer necessity, but if you naturally obtained the form there is nothing to say it would have any strain whatsoever, perhaps even a child could have it naturally with no issue. Again Whis mentioned multiple times in the TOP how Goku's use of UI was unnatural and displayed odd symptoms that he was not aware of or familiar with. We would've suffer for months when we was born. His body would break again and again, and his zenkai boost would've give him the power to unlish his power after 3 to 5 years, but the pain he would have, is still strong, soo he can't use it everyday, like the kaioken tec. It would be the "ultimate finishing move", the "kaioken x Billion" type of move to wipe out the opponent and almost dying in the process.
Technically everyone actually has Ultra instinct, this is referred as "in the zone." Of course we don't get silver hair, but what we can do is move and react as if we knew something was going to happen before it happened.

To be honest this what if could work with UI Sign. Making it appear at crucial moments, but this also means that Whis could potentially notice those sudden burst and investigate it. The seeds for BoG are than planted earlier. And could work with your 'What if goku was born god ki' without him being the GoD.
If Kakarot was actually born with Ultra Instinct, though, there would be no destruction of Planet Vegeta. Yes, the death of King Vegeta would happen as per normal, but if Kakarot was at a power level that was capable of withstanding the major drawbacks of Ultra Instinct, even for just a little bit, even if he just uses -Sign-, he'd be capable of actually killing Frieza as a kid. Like, Frieza would pose absolutely no challenge to Kakarot at that state that I think he'd singlehandedly save Planet Vegeta. Because if King Vegeta brought Kakarot to the ship, Kakarot would still see a life-threatening attack from Frieza and beat him. If Kakarot sees Frieza's death ball come down toward the planet, he goes Ultra Instinct and dissipates it. Hell, maybe even his Base Form's just too powerful for Frieza at this point. DIO just know UI is more of a technique than transformation. It’s based on the idea of true enlightenment allowing you to separate the body from the mind so your body can react on its own. Although you may consider it a power up. It’s not a power multiplier like transformations are.
Jamir Cooper it’s both for Saiyans but not for the angels, just like how god ki doesn’t result in a transformation for angles and g.o.d’s but does for Goku and Vegeta. So for angels it’s a technique and for sayians it’s a technique and transformation

To be fair if he went in and out he would be getting relatively small zenkais to other Samoans but he would have a body ready for the permanent change by that point. My idea here comes from the fact that when he has the small changes it would also be damaging his body with its godly ki and in doin so allow the zenkai boosts to basically power level in his incubation pod so by the time he's training with grandpa Gohan he is or should be strong enough to use it at least alil. Really he'd probably fully attain it in this arc of a story when he first goes to the world martial arts tourney. Carthu I'd love to get your opinion on this if you see it. Thanks in advance

In the manga of Super; he's gained what he calls "Perfected Ultra Instinct" which is basically transforming into Ultra Instinct minus the whole dying thing leaving it. I am aware that he can only utilize that form for short periods of time, and that it's still not the "real" Ultra Instinct.

I don't think that the statement of him being killed from having the technique is necessarily true, limit breaker forms are unnatural but if the form was gotten in a more natural way it may not have any effect on the user, despite whatever strength they may have. Also if Goku was strong enough to hold the form from what he believed, aka probably around the strength of a top tier god of destruction assuming that you do need a certain amount of power to use the form then first off his birth would have immediately alerted Whis and possibly even the Grand priest and he would have been immeasurable for the saiyans, Frieza most likely learning of his existence and personally coming to see what it was about, if he measured Goku as anything near his power (which it would actually be way above him) he would have immediately tried to kill the child and because of the nature of ultra instinct would have actually been killed right there by Goku as a child within an instant, Whis would most likely take in Goku after if not before that happens as well and it would end up being an even more OP version of your Goku that was sent to Beerus's world and become God of destruction. Or actual fun option to actually make a what-if instead of taking the cop-out, if he is born with it, then it is thus natural to him, and a technique like that being natural, not learned, would result in him using the angelic technique of Ultra Instinct, wherein his eyes and hair don't change. His body has NO NEED of the transformation in order to reach and use Ultra Instinct, and thus it isn't even a fraction of the strain because it is using a completely natural ability. He has the same graceful dodging and is very hard to hit, while also growing in power quicker, without him killing himself.

Ok, 1. MUI Would not put him in a coma, it would break his body way before that happened. Even if he did once he reactivates it again, he would also then get his body destroyed. 2. Goku’s power level would still be able to be read, since MUI Doesn’t by nature require god ki, it just requires godly training which does give god ki but since in this scenario he would be born with it, his ki would still be detectable. 3. Beerus would be asleep by this point and Whis therefore would be inactive and even if he wasn’t, there’s no real reason to imply that he would be interested in training him especially without permission from Beerus to do so. 4. Carthu has said on stream before that he’s not really interested in this what if since for it to happen, it would require a lot of big gaps in logic and convinces for it to happen and from what I know, carthu likes to make sure his what ifs are possible or at least make sense, again Goku being born with god ki is far different from being born with MUI. Even if Goku could somehow survive someway, it wouldn’t really be an interesting story because of how silly the premise itself is.
I can say that if his power level would go from 2 to up to the billions or higher, since MUI is comparable to a fusion level increase which we know is fighter x fighter according to the super exciting guide; so there’s that if you’re interested

Not really. Scouters detect high power levels. It was the reason why Gine and him didn't go with Goku. Goku had a power level of 2 as an infant, so he'd just pass under the radar unlike every other Saiyan.

Not necessarily, yes the form put massive strain on Goku in the TOP but that was when he broke through his limits to obtain it, breaking them further as he mastered the form out of sheer necessity, but if you naturally obtained the form there is nothing to say it would have any strain whatsoever, perhaps even a child could have it naturally with no issue. Again Whis mentioned multiple times in the TOP how Goku's use of UI was unnatural and displayed odd symptoms that he was not aware of or familiar with. His body would break again and again, and his zenkai boost would've give him the power to unlish his power after 3 to 5 years, but the pain he would have, is still strong, soo he can't use it everyday, like the kaioken tec.

If Kakarot was actually born with Ultra Instinct, though, there would be no destruction of Planet Vegeta. Yes, the death of King Vegeta would happen as per normal, but if Kakarot was at a power level that was capable of withstanding the major drawbacks of Ultra Instinct, even for just a little bit, even if he just uses -Sign-, he'd be capable of actually killing Frieza as a kid. Like, Frieza would pose absolutely no challenge to Kakarot at that state that I think he'd singlehandedly save Planet Vegeta. Because if King Vegeta brought Kakarot to the ship, Kakarot would still see a life-threatening attack from Frieza and beat him. If Kakarot sees Frieza's death ball come down toward the planet, he goes Ultra Instinct and dissipates it. Hell, maybe even his Base Form's just too powerful for Frieza at this point.
Also, could you imagine Beerus and Whis' interaction when Beerus wakes up?

Jamir Cooper it’s both for Saiyans but not for the angels, just like how god ki doesn’t result in a transformation for angles and g.o.d’s but does for Goku and Vegeta. So for angels it’s a technique and for sayians it’s a technique and transformation

To be fair if he went in and out he would be getting relatively small zenkais to other Samoans but he would have a body ready for the permanent change by that point. My idea here comes from the fact that when he has the small changes it would also be damaging his body with its godly ki and in doin so allow the zenkai boosts to basically power level in his incubation pod so by the time he's training with grandpa Gohan he is or should be strong enough to use it at least alil. Really he'd probably fully attain it in this arc of a story when he first goes to the world martial arts tourney. Carthu I'd love to get your opinion on this if you see it. Thanks in advance
