"Dragon ball!" I was honestly expecting a story going along the lines of "oh Goku and Raditz beat everyone the end" but no. This story is actually super heartwarming and it's enjoyable to see the Goku and Raditz dynamic, great work Carthu!!!
“Dragon Ball”, I think you should do your own spin on that time I got reincarnated as yamcha where you are reincarnated as yamcha. Would be pretty fun and interesting too
I love these one shots. They let you know how much certain events, no matter how minuscule, have shaped the DB Verse. My only problem with the story is that if adult Gohan had to go SSJ in order to liberate the Z Sword, there's absolutely no way that this Kakarot or Raditz, or even a combination of them both would've freed it. Babadi wins. Beerus wakes up only to find his universe in shambles. The Omni King senses it's low level. U7 gets destroyed, and the Farmer with a Shotgun survived for nothing.
I mean, whether they are strong enough to pull it is up for interpretation you know, since it was never really stated how strong you need to be. And Carthu could just make them train a lot in the gravity chamber and/or in the Room of Spirit and Time to be strong enough, so it doesn't matter either way...

@@jacenjustice to add to you Dabura is stated to be relative to Perfect Cell (Super Perfect or Perfect Cell) Ssj2 Gohan while having trouble is still able to contend with Dabura so they are still in the same ball park, so while Gohan did get weaker during the 7 year time skip, it was a whole lot weaker, he was still relative to his younger self So this would mean his super saiyan form would be relative to his younger super saiyan form And by a statement from Goku and a statement from Cell (aswell as some hints given after they come out of the time chamber), SSJ Gohan is stronger than SSJ Goku and this Goku is far above the Androids aswell as Frieza So somehow Base Goku in this story would have to be stronger than both Frieza aswell as the androids, which just isnt likely

They were training with the Kaioshin before pulling the Z sword, like Future Trunks in the Super manga. That's why Carthu mentioned it. The power jump isn't that insane when we realize the kinds of jumps in power during the Goku Black arc and the TOP. Saiyans canonically grow stronger during battle, AND if characters in DB have a goal in mind, they can achieve greater gains. Goku and Raditz, in this story, had the goal of surpassing the kaioshin in order to defeat Dabura and prevent Boo's awakening. They almost certainly felt Dabura's power, as well, which serves as a reference for what they needed to achieve.
Really interesting take here. I didn’t expect it to turn out the way it did. I like how you’re not afraid to end a series where it logically should; a lot of TH-camrs will try and squeeze as many parts out of a What If as possible.
Theoretically the frieza force and Vegeta could still get involved. Of course we’d have to take some creative liberties to make that possible. Jaco was originally sent to patrol Earth because of a saiyan threat detected moving towards the planet. In this story Jaco would still be sent to Earth, because of Raditz and Goku. We all know Jaco isn’t the most humble of the Galactic Patrol, and would probably be bragging about his “high risk” mission on Earth. Eventually word would spread around the Galactic Patrol about two peaceful Saiyans on Earth. This story would then reach the Frieza Force, of course when Vegeta and Nappa hear the story of two other living saiyans they’re immediately invested. The two warriors would drop everything to go meet these other saiyans, afterall they thought they were the last of they’re race. The rest of the story would playout from there, and since Kami is dead Raditz and Goku would probably still have to go to Namek if Yamcha and Tien end up dying.
Vegeta & Frieza are only possible if the Earth's Dragonballs we're still around. Had King Piccolo remained sealed, his son been sealed, or Jr changing like in canon for Kami to be alive.
That wouldnt happen because it was the dragon balls That got vegeta interested on earth nappa would like the idea of checking for more saiyans but unlike radditz who vegeta deems as trash nappa woudnt be allowed to go to earth alone and vegeta woudnt want to go
Wow, actually a pretty nice timeline. I thought Buu might end up destroying everything, but with the Kai's help I guess they could handle him, and Earth wouldn't have enough power to awaken Buu like in canon. It's possible Mr. Popo could have known about Kami being a Namekian though, and maybe could have suggested getting Dragon Balls from his original home to bring back Shin.

I think the conquest of Frieza's empire will eventually reach Earth, but it wouldn't be a noteworthy fight at that point, Raditz and Goku having ultimate by that point.
Upon reading the title I instantly imagined a version where Goku still hits his head while Raditz continues to become an arrogant and violent Saiyan. This leaves Goku as the only thing keeping Raditz ego in check. Kind of like Raoh and Toki in Fist of the North Star.
"Dragon Ball!" Here's an interesting what if i had thought of a few days ago. What if Fat Buu had won the fight between him and Evil Buu and ate the resulting chocolate? Would we have gotten a friendly Super Buu? Or would the evil have just re-taken over Fat Buu and resulted in the Super Buu we already know? It's actually rather interesting to contemplate.
I love how they have different personalities but similar goals which totally compliments them as brothers how Goku seems more eager to help people than Raditz and how more competitive Raditz seems
I’m really only disappointed to not know who Raditz hooks up with, although I know it isn’t important. Part of me believes it’d be Bulma since Raditz is just Goku 2.0 here and we know Bulma was attracted to Goku near the end of DB. Loved this what if though, it was concise and really sweet.
Everybody has that question eventually. Now that I think about, Salad Saiyan and Carthu crossover would be sick, we already got one with Seth so the sky is far from the limit
Video had a bit of conversation cutoffs and overlap toward the end, but very well done. Going from maybe 2-5k power level to slightly above super perfect cell by pure training and a power unlock is definitely a new twist. I liked the originality this one had.
I would like to see the opposite side to this story. How does Frieza expand his empire and how nappa and Vegita are treated in the expanding empire. Do they grow stronger? Or are they eventually eliminated?
Here's an idea for a what if: What if the Z Fighters and their enemies had their final powers levels up to the Tournament of Power from the start, and never grew stronger aside from transformations?
I think it’s important to keep in mind that Goku hit his head as a baby. It’s what made him calm down and become a more peaceful child. Radtiz would have never of lost his temper. This would definitely play into the dynamics of both of the characters, and I think would carry the story in its own unique and ways. Either that or Raditz being around could potentially cause Goku to never hit his head and lose his temper?
If anything I'd create a scenario where Vegeta and Nappa come to earth one day. The Saiyans and Frezia need closure. It's just REALLY weird to think there's a DB timeline out there where Vegeta/Nappa/Broly/Paragus/Frezia all just continue living and none of them perish due to directly conflicting with one another. That's what I'd call a Christmas miracle.
I honestly think that after they train with korin they’d be deemed as worthy to go and train with kami, after all both of them are leagues ahead in power and pure of heart, aka they’d know about piccolo as well aka kami doesn’t die
I think in this there's always a chance that Frieza would find Broly on Vampa because of his scouts, but the only difference to the story I could see that have is Broly and Paragus either working for Frieza or Broly going crazy and killing Frieza.
I have a idea, use dokkan osts as background music to this type of video, i think it would rlly work well (in my opinion the Super Vegito, the Vegito blue, Ssj 2 Vegeta and the Gogeta osts are the best)
One thing you didn’t mention: The only reason Goku didn’t destroy earth as baby was because Gohan dropped him on his head which made him forget his saiyan programming. So unless Gohan is so clumsy he drops _both_ of them just the right way to hit the “un-evil” buttons on the soft spots of their heads, Raditz would have killed us all before the series could even begin.
Gohan didnt drop him. Goku reaches for an apple in a tree while in a sort of basket thing and falls out of it into the ravine. Sure he should have been paying more attention but it wssnt due to clumbsyness. It could be argued that raditz might have tried for the same or tried to grab after goku and fallen also

So early DB is more of Goku and Raditz brotherly rivalry, because of how much stronger they are compare to everybody else. Sad that Kami is dead, but makes sense with Goku and Raditz not knowing about the Dragon Balls been linked to Kami. It's a neat idea of Goku and Raditz getting the Ultimate Form (From training with the Z-Sword and break it to free Elder Kai.). Anyways another really good one-shot what if, and looking forward to your next video soon. What if suggestion: What if Gohan and Goten were twins? (Since you open up this idea of twin what ifs. Plus it would be cool to see your take on this idea.)
No, there is no multiple timeline because there is no conflict that leading to the creation of time machine and no Beerus to start the chain of events in DBS.
The only thing I think might be different is that Popo did know about the space ship so if a need for the dragon balls ever happened they might go to Namek but without Frieza or the Saiyans they would be able to summon Porunga. The only other thing would be perhaps Jaco would intervene and recruit them if you REALLY want them to fight Frieza but realistically Whis would probably recruit him as the new GoD if Dabura killed Shin and have Frieza basically rule the universe but in a way that the mortal level goes up.
Great what if however I believe you may have overlooked one thing. With Raditz being able to explain who they are and knowing about the transformation. Then Grandpa Gohan should be alive.
Honestly it was a great vid but was disappointed on the lack of story and the part that really hurts is that your right the story would end up like this cause as you said raditz is the one who really started dragon ball and if he lives on earth and has a whole lives there then the domino effect wont happen if its possible i would like for you to do qnother video of them but take a creative note cause honestly i really want to see how you can make this in to an entire series even thought it would end up like this keep doing a great job!!!

I mean, kami could've wished to be unlinked with King Piccolo, and this could've done a lot, especially in the saiyan saga, but Piccolo jr is the most important character in z he is the one to discover the potential of gohan so gohan would be a side character with no piccolo to motivate him to keep up
Beerus probably was linked to elder Kai. But that link passed down to Shinn when Elder Kai gave his life force to resurrect Goku. Would be my take on it anyways. Would make sense why Beerus would seal him away in the first place and why that info was "lost" to time. Perhaps elder Kai's disappearance and Beerus's continued life sparked the world tree to produce multiple supreme Kai level fruits explaining why at one point there where multiple of them.
I suggest the next What If could be a somewhat crossover between the "what if Broly and Goku were sent to earth" and this video here. maybe you could do that Bardock first sent Raditz and then Goku just to add some kind of age gap to make it more interesting
13:54 I don't understand, with power levels in the 1-2 thousand range, why would they only be able to handle a month? Didn't kid Goku in canon last 3? And even if he only lasted 1 month in canon, this is a far stronger Goku. I could argue 6, but 3? Or, did you more mean they didn't see gains after a month and got bored?
Kid Goku could only last a month, but he wanted to use the room to fight Piccolo. With no looming threat they dont force themselves to use the room longer since they dont need it and it stresses out their bodies like Goku says in the Cell Saga.

I think in this there's always a chance that Frieza would find Broly on Vampa because of his scouts, but the only difference to the story I could see that have is Broly and Paragus either working for Frieza or Broly going crazy and killing Frieza.
And they all lived happily ever after…until zeno destroyed their universe
I have a idea, use dokkan osts as background music to this type of video, i think it would rlly work well (in my opinion the Super Vegito, the Vegito blue, Ssj 2 Vegeta and the Gogeta osts are the best)
One thing you didn’t mention:
The only reason Goku didn’t destroy earth as baby was because Gohan dropped him on his head which made him forget his saiyan programming. So unless Gohan is so clumsy he drops _both_ of them just the right way to hit the “un-evil” buttons on the soft spots of their heads, Raditz would have killed us all before the series could even begin.
Gohan didnt drop him. Goku reaches for an apple in a tree while in a sort of basket thing and falls out of it into the ravine. Sure he should have been paying more attention but it wssnt due to clumbsyness. It could be argued that raditz might have tried for the same or tried to grab after goku and fallen also
@@chumon1992 Okay but the point is the same- it's only dumb luck Goku fell on his head just the right way. The idea that it would happen once if circumstances were even a little different is improbable, but to both of them? Impossible.
@@GippyHappy I mean I guess but it's the one thing that doesnt change theough all these what of timelines. No matter who is with Grandpa Gohan, they fall, they hit their head, and they are nice bois from then on. It's a consistent thing through this whole series at the very least so it's not unreasonable to assume it happens here. As in the Goku and Broly both being sent to earth one, they also both hit their heads.
I understand your point and I would agree with you if I hadnt just come off of all the other videos where this happens. So, I guess I'll just put it as, I get what you mean and I think at this point it was more for simplicity sake as the point of Goku not bumping his head is in itself a what if story.
Best part is that even if Frieza or the Saiyans pulled up on Earth, Goku and Raditz could easily run their pockets.

So early DB is more of Goku and Raditz brotherly rivalry, because of how much stronger they are compare to everybody else. Sad that Kami is dead, but makes sense with Goku and Raditz not knowing about the Dragon Balls been linked to Kami. It's a neat idea of Goku and Raditz getting the Ultimate Form (From training with the Z-Sword and break it to free Elder Kai.). Anyways another really good one-shot what if, and looking forward to your next video soon.

No, there is no multiple timeline because there is no conflict that leading to the creation of time machine and no Beerus to start the chain of events in DBS.

The only thing I think might be different is that Popo did know about the space ship so if a need for the dragon balls ever happened they might go to Namek but without Frieza or the Saiyans they would be able to summon Porunga. The only other thing would be perhaps Jaco would intervene and recruit them if you REALLY want them to fight Frieza but realistically Whis would probably recruit him as the new GoD if Dabura killed Shin and have Frieza basically rule the universe but in a way that the mortal level goes up.
Great what if however I believe you may have overlooked one thing. With Raditz being able to explain who they are and knowing about the transformation. Then Grandpa Gohan should be alive.

Honestly it was a great vid but was disappointed on the lack of story and the part that really hurts is that your right the story would end up like this cause as you said raditz is the one who really started dragon ball and if he lives on earth and has a whole lives there then the domino effect wont happen if its possible i would like for you to do qnother video of them but take a creative note cause honestly i really want to see how you can make this in to an entire series even thought it would end up like this keep doing a great job!!!

When I first saw Raditz I was hoping he would have been a more used character
I mean, kami could've wished to be unlinked with King Piccolo, and this could've done a lot, especially in the saiyan saga, but Piccolo jr is the most important character in z he is the one to discover the potential of gohan so gohan would be a side character with no piccolo to motivate him to keep up

Beerus probably was linked to elder Kai. But that link passed down to Shinn when Elder Kai gave his life force to resurrect Goku. Would be my take on it anyways. Would make sense why Beerus would seal him away in the first place and why that info was "lost" to time. Perhaps elder Kai's disappearance and Beerus's continued life sparked the world tree to produce multiple supreme Kai level fruits explaining why at one point there where multiple of them.

Funny how Radditz being with Goku actually takes out the whole sayian revenge on Freeza arc, even though now there are two sayians from the start.
I suggest the next What If could be a somewhat crossover between the "what if Broly and Goku were sent to earth" and this video here. maybe you could do that Bardock first sent Raditz and then Goku just to add some kind of age gap to make it more interesting

I don't understand, with power levels in the 1-2 thousand range, why would they only be able to handle a month? Didn't kid Goku in canon last 3? And even if he only lasted 1 month in canon, this is a far stronger Goku. I could argue 6, but 3? Or, did you more mean they didn't see gains after a month and got bored?
Kid Goku could only last a month, but he wanted to use the room to fight Piccolo. With no looming threat they dont force themselves to use the room longer since they dont need it and it stresses out their bodies like Goku says in the Cell Saga.
