There is a dodge button. Hold a direction on the d-pad and press the jump button. It only works on the ground.

To me this game's textures and lighting look better than the Spiderman 2 and 3 games on the PS2. It looks more cinematic.

If you beat Spider-Man The Game on a hard difficulty setting, you acutally unlock a playable Villain: Green Goblin and oh man, playing with Green Goblin in this game is a lot of fun and I always used the Chillout cheat code to prevent his glider from overheating.
I’m gonna use him when I’m done and you can use Mary Jane too

Granted you do a bit of everything with time periods but the videos you do of the old OG games on Xbox, PS, PS2, gamecube? etc, are dope. can't get enough of them, please do more of that vibe.
and dang dude you don't know whether to love it or hate it? I say love it, sure, the graphics could use a remaster (IF you're the type of person to get a hard on for the amount of polygons, otherwise it's great how it is graphically) and the story, good luck getting something that nostalgically close to the originals without completely ruining the gameplay feel. This game/series had the right amount of difficulty + game mechanics for the time period. You gotta remember this is 2002 and you're looking at it with the perspective of a 2020+ gamer.
Still one of my favorite video games of all time, but yeah bro this game was obscenely difficult. Missions like Vulture's Lair, Breaking and Entering, Chemical Chaos, and ESPECIALLY Race Against Time was so hard to do, but it made beating the game that much more satisfying!

You know I remember dying a lot playing this game as a kid but I did eventually beat it so I guess I never thought about the difficulty. There being no dodge and plenty of janky aerial combat I could see how it's actually pretty hard, especially on hard mode which I don't think I ever bothered with. Normal mode was hard enough for me. Respect for playing this on hard mode my man.
Seeing people that still appreciate these classics makes me want to go back and revisit them

Don't worry, of all the bosses. green goblin is the easiest boss. spidey simply swings in the air dodging gobby attacks. and green goblin attacks are easy to avoid

This game is genuine fun on normal or easy. And with all the cheats it's insanely fun lol.
I did said in the last video u can web the enemies and throw them but it’s only web throw u can’t pick them up just throw them and to throw them u have to completely web up the enemies at the point where they’re just hoping and then use the left analog stick(I think I don’t remember it been a long time since I’ve played it) and throw them

As a kid the level I got stuck on was that part where you gotta get through shocker in the train tunnel. Never did figure out how you were supposed to pull that off
watching this brought back memories. but I never remember this game being difficult as a kid. a trick for fighting uncle bens killer is abusing the web yank while you're on a ceiling. then you can drop down and combo him or keep web yanking since it takes like no webbing. This game was a lot of fun, though fighting green goblin on hard can be rage inducing ( but really cool to see animations like goblin ripping up your web dome), and some of the infiltration stuff. other than that this game was great!
So if we just keep liking the videos he'll play through this whole thing on hard. Let's go.

I see you figured out the quick throw, the other things you can do is the web yank where you can yank them towards you, or you can send them to the side by pushing left or right while webbing them up
Honestly I think this game was hard because not only of the difficulty but also the mechanics cause when you swing it’s pretty slow
