It is said that the price offered at JTC is very high. If you want to buy there, you should bargain the offered price down to 40- 45% of the offered price. And moreover be careful of the honesty of the sellers.

All those sapphires are brylium treated and heated.
Orange Sapphire aka Mandarin Sapphire is called a Sasperite
Show a Pigeon Blood Ruby from Myanmar
Yellow Sapphire can be unstable meaning the color will get washed out in sunlight

Those prices you're quoting are tourist prices. Some of them are above US retail prices.

Those dark blue colored sapphires may look nice, but European light (and weather) is different and they will just look like black stones. Jewelers aren't really interested in those over here.

    • @Dr.Mzungu
      @Dr.Mzungu 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Depending on the setting. If the stone is set in a closed setting the magic will disappear. It won't be worth buying. Specially dark blue sapphires they look black when put in a close setting. Not worth buying.

@@Dr.Mzunguyes correct. Setting makes it worse. But i can tell even in a open setting this pear shaped stone will be way too dark in european weather. Especially indoors. Even royal blue stones should be more on the lighter side in europe.
Its a waste if money to buy imo, very hard to move.

You say a heated blue pear shaped blue sapphire for 2.000$ is a good price and investment. First of all a heated Sapphire is none investment, only untreated stones. Ans 2.000$/ct is a hell of a price for a heated one, when in europe you can buy for 1800$ an unheated clean perfectly cut blue Sapphire, which is much more an investment like the heated one.

@@unpopuIaropinion 95% of sapphires are heated and 5% not. Only natural found and untreated Sapphires with high quality Color and Cut are a good investment. The Rest ones could be quite expensive, but are not the best long term investment

@@itplays8212 you are righht. This guy has probably alot of knowledge about gems itself but not about the market. He picks up stones with huge windows or too dark and calls tbem investment stones or good quality.
He has no knowledge of what value actually means and how to detect a high quality gemstone. Has no idea how to valuate a stone.
He knows more about the biology of them but thats about it.

I am been watching your videos for a while, thanks for introduccing many things on your channel
    Im from India.
Here in my country they wear the gems with respect to astrological importance. Simply can wear as jewell, but for long term use purpose then has to go for proper one, unheated n untreated onez.
Other part of the world doesnot follow this.
