I have inherited a ring from my grandfather. It contains a color changing gem. In daylight it is greenish blue, not super bright. Then with a lamp it gets purple like amethist. With candle light it changes to an almost pink purple colour like a light colored ruby. Nobody can tell me what stone it is exactly. Jeweler said Kunzite, other one said amethyst. But they only looked at it under artificial light. Can you help me maybe?
I just added some beautiful spinel to my collections. I haven't found anything over 2 carat. I also haven't been able to buy a red spinel over 0.6 carat. I would love to have a beauty like that 8 carat spinel.
