Olive and Mabel - Butterfly Minds

- Apologies - have been very busy with broadcasting. I think I would have to quit my work if I wanted to do more regular Olive and Mabel appearances or more complex production (Willing and Mabel springs to mind.) But then I see comments from people who say they would really just like to have an update on both of them and a bit more of them doing...anything. So here they are.
And with all the noise and negative stuff out there, perhaps there are worse things to do than watch some butterflies and oblivious dogs in a garden...
Everything stops for Olive and Mabel stories.
Actually, i have stopped my work when alert popped up :)

Passed some lavender bushes as I walked the dogs to the park. Hundreds of small white butterflies. On the way back, no butterflies but replaced by hundreds of bumble bees. Did the bees scare the butterflies away or were they just waiting patiently for their turn. Either way the dogs just ignored them.
Olive's stoicism & Mabel's hopeful tail-wagging just make these little films!
I'm with the others who asked - Mabel and Olive as much as you can swing. They keep me sane here in the states, where people have lost their blasted minds

Since I started watching these in the early part of the pandemic, I can see Olive getting older. I have a black lab, who is very old now, and I am enjoying every minute with him. I know Andrew Cotter is doing the same with beautiful (and smart) Olive.

Same here. We rescued our black lab when he was 4 1/2 years old. We just celebrated his 12th Gotcha Day two weeks ago. His muzzle, paws and underside are now all white. While he is showing signs of his age in some ways, he still has all the curiosity and joy of a much younger dog. We call him our forever puppy because he is determined to enjoy every moment of life after his bad start. We adore him and know our time with him is probably very limited now and make sure to appreciate every day with him and we still tell him all the time how wonderful he is and how is so very much loved and always will be. These videos also helped me get through the pandemic and our lab and golden go through many of the same antics as Olive and Mabel. I hope you get many more years with your sweet boy. I saw a lab who was 19 and still loving life.
Mine just turned 11, but the only grey hairs are under her toes, and she’s always up for a game of 🎾 fetch and a swim. She looks a lot like Olive. 💙

Olive and I share the same degree of interest in the butterflies on the buddleia and milkweed plants; we are aware but not massively enthusiastic. This is why I love Olive best. I feel her benign disinterest.

Olive, in her wisdom and maturity, appreciates the virtues of stopping to smell the lavender. Mabel is just thrilled to be in your company. (What higher honor?) Nice butterfly garden. Thanks. Yellow jacket season here. Do you know they carry bacteria on their stingers? Yup, that's what they told us in the ER when my husband's arm swelled up with infection. We also had to evacuate from a wildfire. That's what we get for living in the woods. We get a few butterflies, bluebirds, deer, grey squirrels and blue bellied lizards. Ah, nature.
Wildfire sarcasm, yet it fits with Andrew's humour as well. So many wildfires, scarier than Olive's shiny fur. I hope all is well now. take care.
Olive, I think, is at one with the goals of the current strike of writers and actors in Hollywood. More sausage and cheese before paws are lifted in toil.

Haven't seen beautiful coloured butterflies like those in years. And your garden Mr C is lovely. Not that Olive and Mabel appear to be too interested. They're more, treats, long walks and snoozing type of girls.....I think I know how they feel 😁😁.

oh dear god!!! please do not stop posting!!! I wish you could quit the day job and i could see Olive and Mabel every day. On a serious note, my husband died 11 months before the US shut down with covid. You kept me sane, I am not speaking hyperbolically, you kept me sane. I can't thank you enough. I am doing OK now, I still look forward to my Olive and Mabel fix. Keep up the good, and necessary, work!

The news is negative by design. If it was all wonderful happy news people wouldn't watch it. The bad, negative news is how they keep people watching it & making a profit. Just do a Google search for how negative news is better for business than positive news. Then stop watching/reading/listening to it & you'll feel much better 👍
