Good Morning Richard and Jennifer. Jennifer you have to keep him in line 🤣. Those sawhorses should last lots of years. My favorite was Marathon candy bars.
Thanks for sharing with us Richard and glad Jennifer made it up to help on this project. Helping hands are always appreciated. Those saw horses will be plenty helpful around there and with a top on for a work bench you can move it around with the tractor and forks. Stay safe and keep up the great videos and fun sharing . Fred.
I just had a thought, and I was hoping that someone in your family is going to want the homestead you have poured so much love, energy and effort. I am kind of sentimental and love to see it when families has legacies.
Because everybody needs a pair of sawhorses that could hold up the Empire State Building😁😃 With what box stores charge nowadays for a cheap, flimsy pair of sawhorses, could anyone imagine what the price would be for a pair like Richard just built? I believe those will be in the Knox family for many generations to come!
Yes sir...them right there are some full grown saw horses, should come with a "move at your own risk" tattooed on the tops. When I was about 14 years old my favorite drink and snack combo was Mountain Dew and a Moon Pie (about 50 cents). As for candy, I was partial to Goo Goo Clusters, PayDay and Chunky, but would never turn down Black Cows, Mallo-Cups, Zagnut or Bit-o-Honey. Love your videos! Hey Jennifer, what is brown and smells like old paint?
I really enjoy your video’s. If not for a torn rotator cuff, I would have been building a dove tail log cabin this winter. But will have to wait until the shoulder heals so watching your building process has been great for me during this time. Hope to be able to start my Chain Saw soon and then I can finally start building.
It's really a joy to watch someone who loves to do things themselves. Whatever you are building you do with a lot of consideration to the materials and the finished product. You are truly a great craftsman.
Good video and job. They look really nice glad you had help. I use to love power House bars they were made by Peter Paul. I have not seen one in over thirty years so Jennifer has never seen one. Take care, be safe and well.
@@SmokyMountainOutpost they were made by Peter Paul from 1966 to 1988 that's when Hershey took them over they had peanuts, fudge, Carmel and were covered in chocolate. They were big bars to Hershey stopped making a lot of there bars and candy. I am 61 you can still past for 28 years old Jennifer. You tube has there old TV ads. Take care, be safe and well.
Could have brought over the Makita chain mortise, cut them out and been back home before lunch. Have enjoyed cutting them by hand over the years, although it does get old quick. Nice pair of timber ponies.
@@SmokyMountainOutpost Nary a day does the Timber King 2020 allow time to interrupt it's feeding. Although could play hookie for a couple hours to cuts a few trestle ponies.
Hey Guys!! How are things?? Just cleaned a foot of fresh snow off my car. I was working away a few months ago - yes I do work sometimes ! Ha ha Ha! And I got a brain wave!! that was scary!! Anyway I thought if I could just put something on my car I could keep the snow off so I found a 10 x 12 tarp, put it over the windshield and front doors, tucked them inside a closed the doors. Then got two bungie cords and hooked them to the front wheels to keep them tight. Ill tell you does this ever save a lot of work - just pull the tarp off and all the snow comes with it! Wow! Am I ever smart!! Now If I could just convince my wife!! Ha ha !
Rich, those sawhorses are fantastic. They look pretty damn heavy though. What's your estimate of their weight? Just out of curiosity. Thanks and keep up the amazing work!
I’ve saw I’ve seen saw-horses like that under the keel of the Titanic in the Harland and Woolf shipyard in Belfast. Builders use 4x2 for their saw-horses because its cheap……….the customer pays for the timber. It is quicker and easier tomknock up a set on every new job than it is to transport a set between jobs. Stavros Stavros
I use a 2X4 set I made for working up my post and beams you have seen I’m sure. I made a set of bushcraft benches you see me use as a working surface. When I work up the logs, I needed a heavy set that didn’t move and shake to peel bark. They are doing the job!! I will make another set a little taller, use some live edge slabs on top and make a dinning table for the cabin.
Jennifer, A skeleton walks into a bar, orders a beer .....and a mop!!!! Opened my refrigerator and saw a rabbit sitting in there. I asked what was he doing and he said, " This is a Westinghouse , isnt it, I am westing!!!"
Jennifer, you are going to have to get up to the cabin more often. It is obvious that if you don't push the old man, he is just going to slough off on the job. It takes a woman's guidance to keep this entire project on track. Now let's see a bit more Project Management Girl. Oh, and of course, Will you be my Valentine?? Love, Rick
Wow. Those are purdy and sturdy!
They are, Wayne!
👍👍👍💙💛❤Felicitari RICHARD, pentru felul tau de lucru . O salut si pe JENNIFER.👍👍👍

Hmm. Marathon candy bars? I will have to look those up!
@@SmokyMountainOutpost, it was caramel in a woven shape with chocolate covering it and it was like 10-12 inches long.

The sawhorses look great, my favorite childhood candy was cow tails, Carmel outside with white nugget inside, what a wonderful treat.
Thank you, Frank. They still make those. They are long sticks, right?
@@SmokyMountainOutpost Yes they are.
yep, loved chunky candie bars, and zero candy bar, can't forget krackle.
Krackle? I don’t know if I have heard of that. My brother loves a zero!
BABE RUTHS and OH HENRY'S were my favorates.

Man it must be nice to work outside without a coat on your going to need Big John to move those heavy duty saw horses around lol
You are right, Sam! We actually used him to move them up on the hill for a few. Haha! Big John came in real handy.
Sturdy for sure. Man I’m impressed with the way you built it. Great video Richard, good to see Jennifer helping you.
Thank you, Marty!
Another outstanding video !!!
