@@Swanlakelady calculate my length... that guy snaky as always trying to find out how he can win by another way, the game was a draw in the last 50 moves
At the last moves, Dubov played Kg3 and Puranik played Kb8. Then Rg4 win!!! The game continued Kh4 ... Kg5 ... Kf6 ... and Puranik stopped the clock. Dubov didn't´t stopped of thinking. The played Kf5 ... and the same position ... captured the pawn. (The black king loses in b8 and c8 ... in d8 is draw)

I think black had to realize he had to always stay toward the center with his king to shoulder out the black king after the exchange sac of the g pawn. This motiff of shouldering the opposing king out from getting to active in king and pawn endgames happens once in a while.
Eventually the white king will get to d6 or d7 and force the black king away from the defense of the black pawn . Blacks only chance was to get towards the white pawn but he realized he was too late .
it's a well-known "trebuchet" position, to where whoever has the opposition approaching the pawn wins. In this case Dubov had it, and he was therefore going to win black's pawn while promoting his own.
White king will get to the black pawn before the black king can get to the white pawn . And once the king is in front of his pawn on the 6th rank , it’s always a win
@@samuel_moreeiraIt would be a draw whenever the case. Puranik was really fast in other moves but in this one he wasn't able to do it, unfortunately. A draw would be fair for both players.
Black flagged buy he was lost anyway as white could get right next to blacks pawn at the end but whites pawn kept the black king from the key square to defend his pawn, a very well known pawn and king endgame.
One can also tell by where the kings are placed in the center: Both on light squares-white won Both on dark squares-black won Each on their own color-draw
Dubov won because he can get to Black's pawn no matter what White does. It's a classic "trebuchet" position where whoever has distant opposition wins. Also, Black ran out of time!
The problem is when he stopped the clock he gave Dubov 10 seconds of free time to calculate.
Yuppp look at his eyes was immediately running through the board , i luv him🥹

It looked like the bishop was perfectly placed to defend everything but Dubov found only way to win.
So many moves in less than a minute. These GMs are for real
With increments tho
Nothing is too much when its Dubov!
What amazes me the most about Dubov is his cute hairstyles 😄🧡
Right 🤩
A sentence that summarizes this game is this:
“Puranik’s ancestors invented this game, but Dubov’s ancestors mastered it!”
And my ancestors spead this game in Europe and turkey

Hahaha After Pause dubov use the Time to think Next Moves!!!!
I think the "too far" question is subjective.
Lefties are real legends🏃♂️🔥
What happened at 7:36 ??
Just won for one tempo. He should keep his bishop and would be a draw. Anyway Kc7 instead of Kb7 would make the draw
no it won't calculate again.
Why did Abhimanyu pause the clock at 7:38
I think, he was checking with the arbiter if he can claim the 50 move rule draw
Дубов, хорошо играет, я смотрел партии. Но не любит он позиции сложные, насыщенные фигурами. Более склонен к спокойной маневренной игре.
Лучше плыть по волнам, чем биться о скалы
Wow duvob is crazy!!
Timotheé Chalamet is a GM?
1:35 не нужна, наверное, пешка )
My first thought, was that he should have kept playing. Lost his concentration...
I want to learn chess from sagar sir❤️❤️
Isn't Kc7 a draw instead of Kb7?
Same doubt bro

It's must been a draw. I don't quite get it
Endgame is lost because of zugswang

Wait, did he not miss checkmate with rooke h1?
Black blundered. He should have played Kd8 instead of b8
I think c7 is possible in the end
No white will still play ke6 then whatever black plays kd6 and eventually win c6 pawn
@@disguisedhell hw abt ko9
I think black makes a mistake of not stopping clock and over thinking this could have beeen a draw?
4:12 he could’ve got a free rook if he did a check because his bishop was protecting H1
King will take it
Simply Kf2
@@nicholasraulik403 oh nvm I thought it was black’s turn, it would be checkmate if it was

Nice find, buf Kf2 equalize it.
Dubov wins! (classic trebuchet position)
❤❤Превосходно!
How did white win here??
who won dubov or puranik?
dubov
always look the position kings in the end 8:18 . Since both kings are in white hence it signifies that white won.
White king will get to the black pawn before the black king can get to the white pawn . And once the king is in front of his pawn on the 6th rank , it’s always a win
I think it could have been draw
Legends dont know how to play but stiil watching 😂😂😂
Ja ja ja
why puranik resigned?
Because white will win the C6 pawn due to the trebuchet trick.
idk wtf he was thinking in the end cause he was closer to the white pawn, puranik lost a game that was his in the end.
White win end game
Dubov's king would be in d3 before puranik could take the white pawn.

Guys can anyone tell me why no GMs play the Italian or the scoth opening ?
Scotch is drawish at grandmaster level... Though GMs often play Italian... Here n there.
GM's do play the Italian. Check out the World Championship 2021 Match 11. Carlsen won with black peaces against Nepo. Great Game btw.

He does not need to think that much. It's a basic king and pawn endgame. Just give the pawn and it's a complete draw. He just give Dubov a free win
what u mean draw? white easily win
