One of the BEST songs Bob Dylan ever wrote! I must've played it hundreds of times by now. It's perfect. He must have been inspired by a visit he had in Spain with "the King of the Gypsies" and his extended family group.
From Spain I have Dylan 12 times. He have great poems but this one A nother cup of coffeee for the road, for the valles below. The LP Desire, beautiful
un moment de grâce et d'émotion dans ce jardin enchanteur. Comme on aimerait se perdre dans ce nymphée pour retrouver l'ombre mythique des premières jeunesses !
Margot and Louise manage to perfectly capture the mournful Hebraic tonality of this song; something many other talented musicians fail to accomplish. Not bad for two young white women from France. Mazel tov! Robert Zimmerman and Scarlett Rivera would be very proud of you if they ever heard/saw this video. 😊❤
@@margotcotten you're very welcome Margot. I hope one day you have a concert in Manhattan so that I could come see you perform in person. It would even be more fun to browse in a guitar store with you (I've been a hobbyist guitarist for decades and have eight guitars) and or see a classical concert in Lincoln Center with you. I don't speak any French but I think we would manage just fine .
the whole song is wonderful! Louise viola perfectly fits in this song! I loved everything. btw your guitar has nice decorations, is gorgeous! what is that?
Excellent Margot et Louise, très belle complicité, vos 2 voix en tierce sont très belles ...Guitare et violon parfaitement cadrés. Bob doit être ravi.. Quand vous pourrez refaites un autre duo dans le même esprit... Merci ❤❤
J'adore cette chanson et l'album "Desire " est juste sublime ,, ma préférée est "Romance in Durango" allez , une petite cover de plus Margo ? just for me
Magnifique! Again, thumbs down? You didn't like the breeze in the bamboo? Your thumbs down must be for Dylan. This is an authentically valid performance. This song has always soothed that Gypsy in my soul. Dylan's gifted ability to write from various points of view just puts me in the story. Is there a naysayer that can eek out NOBEL PRIZE? No self-promotion here. Just a word about the ladies' work.
Yo creo que me he enamorado de vosotras dos, soy un tio guapo y culto, pero tengo 46 años y vivo en Alcalá de Henares, CerBantes place. You play fantastic, you do great joy to the original tune ...true 🙂
Margot Cotten, I didn't even know you existed until yesterday! On Christmas morning, I called up my old girlfriend, Margot. I was holding a cup of coffee while I was talking and singing to her (Tom Petty's "Listen To Her Heart" was one of the songs). On my coffee cup is a photograph of Keith Richards and my now deceased brother; arms around each other's shoulders, big smiles on their faces.
@@margotcotten Okay. You have an intriguing singing voice. I might suggest a tune or two (or more) to you, such as this one: "The Goldfish And The Ladybug" by Stevie Nicks. She wrote this before she joined Fleetwood Mac, and she never quite got around to finishing it. My kid sister spent an evening with her (and Herbie), listening to her work on this song. I was still dating my Margot at the time (the one I called up on Christmas morning recently). You can find the 'rough' demo versions of this on youtube. You might find your voice is suited to it.
Yes, a very bright take on this Dylan classic, which achieves the almost impossible task of making one of his deliberately recherché works come across more like a real story. Of course, having two ace musicians interpret One More Cup of Coffee counts. The blend of true voices, that big J50, and Ms Lhermitte's subtle viola (?)playing all helps. And there is something about you both being quietly outside and without the distraction of either a full band or indeed an audience that draws focus to the lyrics--as well as nicely filtering out the inevitable guessing game with Bob Dylan. What the f#£¥ does it all mean? Who cares? It's a romance.
