The A350 has become one of my favorite aircraft over the last couple of years and I’m very happy to see that Etihad has also added this beauty to its fleet. Pity they don’t intend to fly it to Europe, but understandable. 36.000ft cruising altitude seems rather low for the A350 by the way, often see them at or above 40.000ft. Anyway, thanks for another great trip report Sam!👍🏻
The Super Diamond seats are, in my opinion, the most practical and comfortable business class seats. I'm happy to see Etihad got rid of the business class seats they had. I only flew one flight with Etihad (Abu Dahabi to Zurich) on a 787 and HATED the seat so much that I've never booked a flight with Etihad since.
@@franklinloo2160 The Super Diamond seat Etihad is switching to now, is very good. It can be found on many other airlines. The former seat looked pretty, but was very impractical and uncomfortable. I flew on an Etihad 787-9 from Abu Dhabi to Zurich in 2019 on an overnight flight. The seat had no leg rest, only a recline feature. So, the only two options were to either be fully flat (for which the seat was very narrow in the foot well) or to sit upright. It was the worst "sleep" I have ever gotten on a plane. I like to have my feet up a bit and be slightly reclined while watching TV, and I like to sleep on aircraft in a zero G position. The best sleep I ever got on a plane was in an Air Canada Super Diamond seat, also on a 787-9, from Toronto to Dubai. I slept all the way from Newfoundland to Bulgaria.
Sam, just rewatching this and only now just appreciate that truly beautiful engine footage there on approach to Paris. It is beautiful with the rain on approach.
I love the a350 because of its design it's black mask and it's engines. Truly loved it!! My favorite is a350-1000 and the Boeing 777-300ER. Loved them both
Beautiful video, I met one of Etihad’s fight attendants in Thailand as she was on her layover and we were speaking about Sam because I follow this page and watch all sams videos, unfortunately she’s told me that Sam can be rude to the flight attendants and they get really uncomfortable with that. Sam I love your videos my friend but please keep the respect levels to all flight attendants equally, other than that keep doing you, very proud. Love from Sydney Australia
I really enjoyed this video. As an A350 lover, the A350-1000 *(aka A35K)* is my favorite A350 model, it has almost the same length as the 777-300ER (B77W/B773), and it is also fuel-efficient like the Triple 7 too!! 😇

my favorite is 747-8 and it is big and strong same as same And the business class from Etihad A350-1000 is like nearly close to British Airways A350-1000 club suite and also 777-300er and 787-10 as well to be fair my friend from Prague Czech he loved Aviation and even I do,To my story shared with sam Hanoi And Ho Chi Minh in vietnam where i started My Aviation when i have a first flight vietnam airlines with boeing 777-200er when i was a youngster and has been retired so sad and i liked to say to thank you to SAM who shared with us loved you sam
The business class layout is quite quirky... i'd still use that though :). As for the economy class, it's fantastic for travelling cheaply but in some style and comfort 👌🏻
Sam, I know you wanted that galley to be smaller than the 787. I did too. lol. But, unfortunately, there is little good news for Boing in this video. The A350-1000 holds 372 people at 9 across in economy, and from the video, even those seats look really comfortable. Boing 777x will hold more, but at 10 across, so it seems. Will not be fun. Of course, between now and the time Boing 777x gets flying commercial, if ever, things will change. What hasn't changed is that airlines are buying more A350s than 777x. Great video, again. Thanks!
I’m still yet to travel on an a350 but the etihad livery looks beautiful on the a350 and I had the chance to fly on etihads a380 in the past which was one if not the best experience I’ve ever had and I except nothing less from etihads a350 great video
I used to fly with Etihad for about 6/7 years. Can not fault anything about them. Then all of a sudden they stopped taking inter net bookings on their web site. You had to book via telephone to one of their agents who added on £150 to the price advertised on the Etihad web site. So I had to start to use another airline. Pity though, I liked Etihad a lot.
@@r.l.3574 Well IT DID NOT work for me AT THAT TIME. Too late now. I fly with EMIRATES and have done for the past 5 years. Etihad have out priced them selves and their flight schedule is no good for me anyway.
Absolutely stunning airplane! Hope Etihad keep up the levels of service & luxury illustrated in this video - very difficult to do that when you are operating high density trunk routes - eventually, the novelty wears off and you revert to what you know best. Regardless, a bright future ahead for this aircraft!
Erm No, they have the A350 as they troed to CANCEL their entire order a few years ago and were stuck with five A350's. They didnt 'choose them' as such, but were stuck with them as they really wanted just 787's
Nowadays lot of jet planes tried to be eco-friendly and fuel efficient as it can be. There's a lot of engineering works to enhance the latest rolls Royce engine. Hopefully later, future planes can fly with cooking oil! As it was experimented on A380 at 3 hours flight

I got lucky and managed to experience the A380 from Abu Dhabi to London. It wasn’t supposed to be the plane initially when booking so was an amazing surprise when at the gate.

The current Etihad livery is probably my favorite one it's such a beautiful design very lavish and it suits perfectly with various aircraft designs...

I flew on the Etihad a350 on the 6th morning coming back from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi after a wonderful vacation what a beautiful aircraft it was
