11:03 I love how for Paul "chaos" is playing old songs and singing in a silly voice. He truly is whimsical down to his bones.

These are some of the best group docu's I've seen, deserves a bigger audience. The images combined with words in the present tense really sell it.

'Hey Bulldog' was by Lennon alone apart from possibly some last minute lyrics. 'Baby You're A Rich Man' was about the cut-off point.

The way Lennon likes to drink plenty of tea to relax his agressive mind to be tuned to creative thinking and the way he eat lots of apple was to add substance minerals to his mindset and create sensible lyrics, and the way Lennon start in chaos in noisy nonsense talks and words while doing songwriting was to build something within the way that works in science and the way disorder creates ideas in a genius smart, and when he told McCartney to write the ideas quick so that he won't forget while fresh, McCartney replied I won't forget, meaning he has a photographic memory and the way McCartney used different instruments to find the proper sound fit for a song he is composing as a premise was to move on the laterals and complexity of music. Both Lennon and McCartney agrees on music work time dedication. Boom! The Greatest Band of All Time.

This is the first time I've ever heard anyone say that the line inspired by John hearing a police siren was something other than "I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together." For decades I have never heard anyone say anything different until right now.

Excellent video! I want to point out that the instrument shown being played by the Beatles during Sgt. Pepper's was a tanpura and not a sitar. They look very similar to the untrained eye, but a tanpura always has 4 strings and a sitar typically has about 18. They are also held and played and sound very differently. I play both instruments, so I have some knowledge in the area. It appears that George played sitar, but John and Paul tried playing tanpura and not sitar. Playing tanpura is much much simpler than playing sitar!

    I like this video.
But one question always troubled me about a well established Beatles fact.
LSD does not come in the same form as speed. Acid was usually a dot, blotter or liquid. Speed was in thise days, a pill.
How can someone who had been taking speed since Hamburg, and Acid for a year, supposedly regularly, not know the difference?
Its the same with the dentist story. The guy who gave George and John their first taste of acid without their permission.
I know these were different times.
But George and John. Two of the most famous people on the planet at that time.
They are at a dinner party. With a dentist!
A dentist who then spikes two of the most fanous people on tbe planet with a powerful drug, with no thought at all of what the consequences might be.
Can you imagine it happening today. The guy would not only lose his medical licence, his livelihood, but would be at risk if going to prison, especially as John and George believed he had spiked them to take part in an orgy. That is sexual predator stuff.
And yet in the Beatles story it is written off as a witty anecdote.
    Odd.

    • @filmretrospective5334
      @filmretrospective5334  ปีที่แล้ว

The only answer can be there's more to these stories than what john is telling. It is very confusing that john could not know he'd taken acid as it came in the form of a tab or a sugar cube.
As for the dentist story all i can say is there really are people that stupid look at michael jacksons doctor. Not the exact same scenario but still just as bad in different ways.

In doing the musical skills and produce I think you have to know the basics that's 20 percent and a creative thinking honed to genius creative level augmented by enthusiastic studies for enthusiasm starts it and motivation and creative itch provides continuity of the 60 percent and the 20 percent is to leave the other process to your imagination.

Who said this, I wonder? “It’s very easy - all you have to do is say what you mean, make it rhyme and put a backbeat to it’, and I keep coming back to that principle as a writer.” Without Paul McCartney there would be no John Lennon. I don’t believe the reverse is true, however.

Therse people who wrote the beatles songs for them. Did they carry on writing there songs for them after they split? George too?
These songwriters must have been incredible they delved into Lennons personality wrote about his mother, yoko, his childhood. Why were they so committed to Lennon? and where did they go when he died?
Was everyone in on it and it was a massive conspiracy? because countless people have attested to seeing Lennon and McCartney writing songs.
And when did they come along exactly because lennon and mcartney were skint kids from liverpool when they started. Why would they invest in them?
And more importantly why wasnt there another group after the beatles that equalled them? if all there songs were written for them...
