Fun fact this is the first kaiju movie that has godzilla mothra and kong together for the first time. Toho couldn't do it cause the rights for king kong was temporary. And I gotta say that's awesome seeing them together
The Mothra in KOTM was an avatar, a less-powerful "copy" of the Mothra in this movie, created to watch over the surface world alongside Godzilla. This Mothra is the original, the true form in all her power and beauty.
So Scylla(the titan killed at the start) was never truly loyal and tried amassing power to eventually usurp Godzilla. The tie-in comics explain more and give in between stories to the movies.
I swear…the bit where Kong just starts to grab the little dude by his leg and basically just starts swinging him around and beats the shit out of the other apes as if he’s a legitimate weapon…has got to be one of the funniest things I’ve seen in my freaking life my dudes!!! 🤣 I mean like seriously tho…I actually ended up having to pause the damn movie because I could not stop laughing ffs!😮💨 The best part of that little sequence, is definitely the bit at the end when he just chucks little dude and smacks the other guy right in the freaking face with him! 😂 It was beautiful really 😘👌 absolutely glorious my dudes!
"How we got Mothra back?" She's a goddess. Not even joking, she's always been a magical nature spirit since 1961. Also dark and serious can be fun. But yes there is nothing wrong with cheesy and both franchises swing back and forth between serious and goofy all the time.
“Gondor calls for aid!” I can’t……🤦♀️ Idk why but goddamn that got me my dude! Yea…that took me a min to stop laughing ffs! Thank you for that one…definitely needed that 😉👍😅😂🤣😮💨
THIS was the one I was most excited for and I'm glad Jake is a fan going in. This movie has tremendous heart and great visual storytelling. EDIT: Yay! Everyone dug it! Great reaction! So funny! Yeah honestly I saw this beast three times in theaters and my wife and I got the digital as soon as it was available (wife adores Shimo). We just love the ending with Kong getting a family and a real home. Glad you guys loved it!
Mothra in both the Toho and Monsterverse has always been an immortal goddess defender of life and nature. Her immortality is her rebirths cycle genetic memory, she lays an egg before a great battle, should she die that egg will eventually hatch with all the memories of her previous self, the new larva mothra grows up and tranforms into her butterfly form and repeats the cycle over. Its like saving a check point, you can continue the story and when you die you can go back to the checkpoint with all the knowledge you have and go again. Like fighting a boss, you die and try again, but now you know the attack patterns and how to dodge. Godzilla Trusts and Listens to Mothra since they've fought side to side for centuries, that's why she's the only one that can reason and calm him (she's bae let's be honest) So should she ask for help or asks godzilla to fight he shall
New Empires Mothra laid the KOTM Egg and went dormant allowing KOTM egg to hatch and fight along Godzilla, when KOTM mothra died all the memories transferred to New Empire mothra on stand by until she was awaken
The part where that one ape starts choking Suko during the zero g scene looks EXACTLY like in Mars Attacks when Sarah Jessica Parker's body with the Chihuahua's head sewn on starts choking the Martian leader at the end 😂. Seriously..
This movie was awesome it was everything I personally wanted as far as Kong and Godzilla working together the scene with Kong riding Godzilla into battle what a freaking shot. It’s really cool seeing their dynamic even if it’s for a short period of time having two alphas coming to understanding with the help of Mothra of course again just an awesome movie, and I loved when Kong used lil Kong as a weapon lol but his roar at the end adorable. Fun facts: I read Kong is suppose to have a silver back gorilla look (some reactors think he’s just getting old) but really I think it’s the first time he’s had more silver/grey show through, 7:22 that was the intention the director I believe got that inspiration from his cat, and the red apes are red-haired orangutan-like creatures.
It was god awful the worst film out of all, it’s to cartoony looking looks to FAKE and the CGI is really BAD it’s like watching a CARTOON they don’t look real if you watch godzilla 2014/at least he looked real and the effects were realistic looking they cgi,d it to death and it looks like a cartoon not a movie hate this film DONT like the story this is a cartoon not a movie effects cgi is bad since when is godzilla a GYMNAST godzilla doesn’t run move that way laughable
@@rachaelhogan7850oh brother “Godzilla isn’t a gymnastics” my brother in Christ a classic Godzilla move is the fucker going full kangaroo and drop kicking by balancing and sliding on his tail
I recommend Jeepers Creepers but only 1 and 2. The 3rd movie was crap and the new one that recently came out was... okay-ish for me. First two are the best ones. Just a suggestion
Ngl this is prob my least liked godzilla/kong monsterverse movie along with 2014 one, then theres GvK and 1st one is Kotm, if kotm had less human cuts it would be fcking perfection, tbf if GvK had cut whole scooby doo detecitve work it would be perfect too, this one idk what i even dont like, i think its just that fights are too short, maybe its just too much monsters in one fight so it feels short cuz its spreaded between basically two different fights, kong vs skar and godzilla vs shimo. Kotm and GvK felt like they just had longer, better fights. Says a lot imo that i went to see this one only once in cinemas, and i've seen kotm about 9 times and GvK about 7

The novel more or less says she's like a Phoenix

Suko is 164 ft during the event of the Godzilla X Kong film. While Kong was 108 ft tall in 1973 skull Island film
Weird

The best movie in the monsterverse ❤❤
When me and my husband saw this movie in theaters, I straight up went, "see Skar vs Kong is a dex build vs a strength build."
