Nice video, but just wanted to add/correct some points which I feel were missed out : The Shogun was completely designed, engineered and manufactured by TVS. Suzuki had very very little role in this.TVS used Suzuki’s logo and naming due to the terms and agreements stating that there shouldn’t be a TVS-only branded bike (when they were with Suzuki) There was a law stating that foriegn companies are required to do a JV or Partnership with Indian companies to enter into India and sell products, hence why you had Kawasaki-Bajaj, TVS-Suzuki and Escorts/Rajdoot-Yamaha. Suzuki is responsible for the base of all TVS-Suzuki 2 strokes with the AX Engine Architecture, but the Shogun, although utilized the architecture, a lot of it’s internals (cubic capacity,gearing, ports.etc) were entirely different. Shogun was basically the road-going version of the 16Bhp Rally Supra SS. It was not into racing as much as the Supra or the Shaolin, but rather a version of the Supra slightly detuned for the public roads. Part of why it sounds so awesome, is because of the factory-fit Expansion Chamber in a form of an in-built muffler...Shogun’s performance is also heavily dependant on that chamber. The AX100 was the only Suzuki to have most Japanese parts, to be imported from Japan and assembled here. Everything after the AX (Supra,Shogun,Samurai,Shaolin) was localized here. The carburettor, piston and only a few handful of other parts were imported from Japan, so that they can be cost effective. Part of why they failed to sell as much as the RX. TVS could never match the quality levels of the Yamahas. Also Shogun’s efficiency numbers were in the mid-20s when RXs used to do close to 40s easily. Except for the 5 Speed RXZ or 135, No other RX can match the fun or excitement of the Shogun.
