I think people mean inside the casino underground during the heist. I had a GTX 650 Ti 2GB that played the game at 70 FPS average online at high/normal. Around 40 - 50 on Jacks hill. During the casino heist, on the vault level near the elevators it would drop to 16 fps because of the multiple shadow-casting lights overlapping eachother.
Hey everyone! It seems like my capture card changed settings without me noticing it in the middle of the video, so the 1440p and 4K parts were recorded at 30 FPS t.t Still, this doesn't affect performance in any way, the video just becomes less smooth at that point. Thanks for watching!
Not sure if it was the port itself though! The game itself was at 120hz at 1440p and it was really smooth. I think it was just some auto setting from the capture card, since I had to use another system to record (I usually use this 3060 laptop to record 😊)
Have you tried the Lossless scaling on steam? I know you usually focus on in-game settings but I think adding a external frame generation to see how it feels. If you do use it, I've heard you should cap your frame rate to either 60 or 90 or 120. Having a uncapped frame rate can cause weird artifacts using the program. Lossless scaling is technically ironic because you are "buying more frames" in a sense.
You should benchmark any new games like The First Descendant or Once Human, they're both free games and they're quite intensive on some older GPUs, I tested Once human on my GTX 1650 and it was almost unplayable on medium graphics, you should definetely make a video on one of those games

My rtx4060 laptop can do a similar job in gta 5, i have tested it and it works just fine :) Only difference is the resolution, mine has 1920 x 1200 res which is like 10-20% more pixels than 1080p. And i also am setting the grass to higher quality and post processing to ultra (motion blur obviously to 0). Dont remember which setting i used for msaa.

Hello, this isnt related to the video but i just upgrade my CPU + motherboard and for some reason now whenever i try to turn on my PC the monitor is just pitch black even though my mouse and keyboard does light up and my PC fans and rgb does work, can anyone help me solve this issue?
My primary gaming laptop being an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 from 2023 has the same RTX 3060 GPU but a Ryzen 9 6900HS cpu with DDR5, I do wonder how the offline performance would compare. Online I just cap my FPS to half at 83 FPS of the internal 1440p 165 Hz panel, and it works quite well.

Those extra shaders are to compensate for low power like 140W and 170W on desktop. But still can't match the VRAM wise. 🙂

To expand on online, its the special freemode events like business battles that will tank performance, or someone doing a freemode mission.

basically what i had before upgrading to a brand new desktop with 4070 super and ryzen 7 7700x. So worth the price
