Just recently discovered your music and love the peace it brings as I play along on my frame drum! Also love the drumming music, I facilitate drum wellness programs with seniors and just started workplace wellness program with medical staff. For getting started with the Native American Style Flute, the Keys of A, G or F# are best. F# is the largest and lowest of these three keys.
For flute makers, I highly recommend Southern Cross Flutes, Quetzalcoatl Music, Elemental Flutes, and lastly High Spirit Flutes if you don't wish to wait for your flute to be made.
