- There's more than one way to skin a cat when it comes to getting power to the rear wheel for your motorized bicycle/ board track racing tribute. In this video, I breakdown a couple different transmission options on some recent builds. Whether it's a CVT set up or a Centrifugal clutch to belt drive, chose whichever you prefer and have the budget for.
I build affordable motorbikes with modern power and time-honored design.

Love your videos keep making them❤
I’m working on a build that will use belt and chain. The primary from the engine will be v belt with a lever and idler pulley to tension the belt primary and acting as a clutch. Then it will be chain to the wheel. This way also allows to have no starting provisions. Raise rear wheel tension the belt and give it a pedal. Or just get rolling and tension the belt, to turn and start engine. This makes the bike appear even more authentic. Yours are the best I’ve seen!
I think that's a good idea with that style belt. I'd like to see how long that will last. I've seen them used on lathes. I like the detail in your videos. thank you.
I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching!
I believe the moped hub you’re referring too is pronounced Pook great video and even great bikes I love watching your videos
I am building one try to go with a original 1911 engine and custom frame same specs as a board track racer
I'm wondering if you ever did a CVT and belt drive combined into a build, for I'm working on my own motorized bicycle and uses the belt drive and a jackshaft setup. engine is 79cc but I'm working on it to be special build that's a tribute to Iron Maiden. i know it's a little too modern but I'm not good at ratios without proper help.
Where did you get the Wizard Belt Drive Sheath Sir? I need one for my Motorcycle.
Where do you get your seats from?
What about a chain that has a belt material on one side of the chain either one a complete belt on one side of the chain or both are segmented with each link having its own piece of material you can get the benefits of a bwlt and chain….
Also, Could one just mount a larger gear to the engine and have those pedals right on there, so it would go direct and look more accurate?
Hypothetically but most clutches that go on the drive shaft don’t come in larger diameter/teeth
Can't find a drop loop frame for sale. Harkin on ebay only sells finished bikes and sportsman flyer gives no response when emailed. Any help will be appreciated as to a supplier of these frames. Thanks. Great bikes!
Would there be any way to get a V-twin chain drive to just be a single gear?
Where do you get the engines for these builds ?
The four strokes are industrial honda or honda clone engines. I have a free parts sourcing guide that has links to all that use here: shorturl.at/lzR18
do you have to pedal-start the excelsior? or is there enough low-end go without?
No pedal start as the pedal crank can’t drive the engine drive shaft because of the centrifugal clutch.
What is the average cost to purchase one of these bikes from you?
Between $5k-10k depending on purpose and detail.
i want excelsior motorcycle
Where do one get the cvt parts
It’s a 3/4” bore comet torque converter. Amazon, eBay or go kart store like gopowersports.com
Were you get the gas tank
For the builds in this video, Dan from Taylar Cycles but I source from several fabricators depending on the build/purpose.
You can make one from tin and solder that's how I make them it's pretty simple to do .
