The problem of the league is corruption. Because of corruption many people that suppose to sponsor the league are running away. Former then Nigeria premier league chairman obaseki Said the money they are generating in the league yearly every club as at 202/203 is making 600 million when Naira was still valuable.
And he's plan then was every club to have it stadium, but they the organisers refused to do so. Only DSTv is given the league as at then 2 billion plus, but they will not show any match because they want to fix the matches. So nobody will like to put it's water on a basket

This is how important TV is to football. Visuals are needed to connect with the game in Nigeria as fans get to know the players and the different stadia. As regards the penalty, there was a clear thug on the sleeve of the Rangers' striker by the Enyimba player in the box. The penalty is justified. Over all I am impressed with the level of play.

I'm impressed with the massive turnout of the crowd. This is unarguably the greatest and biggest crowd I have seen in a Nigerian football league match since the early Eighties. Good football display too @ the "ORIENTAL WAR"
I am glad NFF fined Enugu Rangers for over-ticketing. This was the first recipe for disaster in a game with such high stakes.

What makes this match even more spectacular and presentable is the pitch, very greenish. Not looking like the regular rough pitch we see in Nigeria often. Then the turnout was something else, if they have not allowed this crowd to enter, riot would have broke out. This should be around 40,000 spectators. South East really have a lot of potential to turn the country around, they love competition and that's what every progressive country should allow. it's just that every government always want to oppress the Igbos for not voting for them, since 1967, thereby destroying the peaceful coexistence and the economy of the country. Look at the new set of governors in the SE, see how they've been competing. Now Enugu State government will soon upgrade the Cathedral, Abia State too will upgrade Enyimba Stadium, the competition continues and this is going to spread to other regions in Nigeria and the local football will come alive again as it was in the 70's and 80's. If it continues like this, private sectors will start buying this clubs as we had in the 80's.

@@iykejnr6296 not at all... professional football matches are played on natural grass....even Russia that widely used artificial turf has gone back to natural grasses....
Grass will eventually give, which often releases the cleat prior to reaching an injurious load. On synthetic surfaces, there is less give, meaning our feet, ankles and knees absorb the force, which makes injury more likely to follow.

But the penalty seems quite insensitive and saboteur-like at such point of the game too.
Penalty is penalty. Whether 1st minute or last minute. What is sensitive or sentimental about it. Do you want to have a good league or not.? Many countries in Africa now have much more professional leagues than us now.

Nothing dubious about the penalty. it's a direct consequence of Enyimba guy extending his hand and grabbing the shirt of rangers guy. It's a clear penalty. It doesn't matter how hard the pull of the shirt is. He clearly pulled him. No sentiments if you are serious about the league. Although all the home teams wining close to 90% is clearly an issue in naija. It's embarrassing corruption/unprofessional refereeing etc

These players I am seeing don't have techniques of ball, holding ball too long, poor marking, poor ball distribution by the midefielders, wasting ball by un necessary long range shots instead of keeping possession. No Europe scout will pick any of these players if they don't develop their foot ball techniques
