As someone who is into their Hondas and owned many, The interior is near identical to the 5th gen Honda Accord, the front lights also share a little similarity due to them being small and rectangular. Where Rover would be today if Honda was still with them, will leave it there. More need to save these old Rovers before they become extinct one day.

In existence in the hypothetical future, Honda got what they wanted!

The Rover was a better finished car with the Leather and on 600 real walnut veneers

@@brucemay5409 not sure if you have been in an Accord of the generation but both were off a high standard, my friend has a 5th gen Accord and that still looks like new, so don’t compare one to the other, both were finished off the same high standard.

Great review of an interesting car.
I'm really getting into the 600 range and could see myself owning one in the future.
The ABS system gas issue is a real worry and I might always think I'm driving a ticking time bomb?

Yes in not too finer words! But this is only pre-96/97 models, after that it was the Bosch pump we have on our 45's!

Didn't these have a facelift where, no matter what model 600 you had, the boot badge would always say '600'. The rust-proofing seemed to get better after about R-reg, as there are still quite a few well-kept late-model 600s around my area, in Exeter. If I was looking for a viable, stylish replacement for the family Polo, I would begin a long search for a clean, early 115bhp 620i in British Racing Green or Caribbean Blue, as the entry-level versions still had that executive-car feel and was not cheapened in any way, shape or form. The underrated and understated 620ti is still very quick.

Great advice! I would say people get hung over around the '620ti' compared to a 623 like this, which is a as quick as anything I've driven. There was no facelift, the badge thing was rover cutting costs!

There was something of a facelift post 96 which included body coloured door handles and body side mouldings. Inside the seats were re-modelled to a more British looking design and passenger got airbags on all models.
