Oddly enough, I discovered their cookies at a local independent LA health food store last week -- well before I saw their appearance on ST. The birthday cake cookies are phenomenal. My only complaint is that on the packaging, they're shown as bright pink with dazzling, shiny sprinkles. In reality, they're more of a light brown and the sprinkles can barely be seen. Not a big issue, though. I'll definitely buy them again.
In fact, when I went to buy them again yesterday, they were sold out. There's a Sprouts walking distance from me but I haven't seen them there :-(. Maybe they were sold out too.

The British guy is so right. All the money goes to the manufacturer. It happened to my business. When inflation happened the manufacturer raised their prices but the consumers weren't willing to pay twice as much for the same product. Our sales were through the roof before inflation but after COVID there was no way to expand or continue. We had to let go of our staff and go back to basics. Now we are losing about 150k per month and by this year we might as well close and keep our previous earnings. Don't invest in a product that has a lot of competition. Our product was sold out within minutes but we couldn't buy the same amount against inflation. The manufacturer made their money but we lost every penny that we invested.

what product?also basic economics and politics tells us that the manafacturers had to raise their prices, i am not sure why you are blaming them.
they charge to coman and have their profit built in. it's expensive to run a factory. that is why most food companies manufacture their own product and only coman seasonal. @@FM-dm8xj

They're running at a 400k loss, and asking for 600k, for a tiny %. They might be sharks, but these are dangerous waters for even them. They would have to practically re-revolutionise the business, whilst competing in a cut-throat space. They won't be interested at 7.5%. Sharks always want 10% minimum IF the business needs help. If the profits are already there, the sharks have taken 3% sometimes, because of how insanely successful the product is. But the frozen dessert section is DROWNING in options. There must be another way. Maybe having ice cream vans for carnivals and such, or having tiny store-fronts to sell on the street. These could be just as bad, I don't know. But I think it's almost pointless trying to chase the supermarket frozen section. It would be like trying to make a car company today. How are you gonna compete against like 200 other car companies that have 20+ models each.
a store would make more sense, they could make 20% margin in ice cream and cut out the middle man of the grocery store and factory.

Update: I love their birthday cake cookies -- I'd buy four or five bags at a time -- but all of their cookies have been out of stock (even on the company website) for about two months now. I suspect that they're reorganizing their processes to be more efficient, etc. But if they're not back on the market soon, they may lose whatever customer loyally/recognition they'd earned. I'll still buy them, of course. Hopefully others will as well.

One thing I cannot stand about the sharks is that they feel entitled and people should undervalue their company because they're on shark tank. It doesn't matter who is investing, the value of the company doesn't change.
