yea I still think you guys should give Denzel another shot with some different works he has; he can really spit but his delivery seems to be the biggest obstacle to you guys; this song itself sounds really different to his usual but the content is still there;
The best displays of Denzels lyricism and songwriting are definitely these for me: -Zenith (feat. Joey Badass) - This Life - if Tomorrow’s Not Here - Pure Enough - Sick and Tired He’s not necessarily a top tier lyricist, but he’s just quite creative and different to most. Zenith is pretty damn lyrical for him though.
Here's some Denzel music that I like: Story: No Title If Tomorrows not here Envy Me Zenith Pure Enough (Basically anything off of his 'Imperial' album) PS. He's got a new album dropping on the 27th.
you guys are sleeping on Denzel so hard, it makes me kinda sad. he deserves way more than that, one of the greatest out there today in hip hop without exaggerating. please. he's not an upcoming rapper, he's been out there for a long time, he just doesn't get the recognition he deserves
Bro he’s great, his last album was great, but you’re overrating him. You can’t get mad at these guys for not thinking he’s one of greatest out there today.
this is in the description of the video in case you didnt read it: Denzel's highly-anticipated third album TA13OO will be released in three acts. The first act, Light, will be released July 25th, followed by Gray on July 26th and Dark on July 27th. Each previously-released single represents one of the album's acts, as "Sumo" represents Light, "Clout Cobain" represents Gray, and "Percs" represents Dark, which come together cohesively to form TA13OO. Across the three sections of TA13OO, Denzel explores topics including molestation, the presidential election, fame, hatred, paranoia, revenge, love, the current state of music and personal tales of his own near death experiences. Sonically, the album ranges just as widely as its subject matter, sounds of paranoia, fear of loss, brooding melancholy and mood swings straight from hell all find their way onto TA13OO, making this Denzel's most groundbreaking musical performance to date.
I think I owe you guys a dept of gratitude. Honesty, for the last few years I've lost touch with my love of music. Watching this channel has made me listen to lyrics in a different way instead of just listening to the way it sounds. Just wanted to say that I appreciate you.
I love Headstone but I'd rather see U&I or something off of Better Off Dead (maybe Bliss or MRAZ). Or Your Favorite Rap Song off 3001. Or Belly off Day of the Dead. Or Devil & Us off of D.R.U.G.S. Anything FBZ would be dope though
Sa Gr honestly i just want em to listen to a raw heavy meech verse. Your favorite rap song or facts would be my picks tbh but headstone makes sense and its dope
George pretty much hit the nail in the head with that Dave Chappelle analogy and Ryan made a great point of how the video makes the song more understandable compared to just having the audio. This song is definitely relevant in todays era and how much truth it holds behind what it means so I gotta give credit where credit is due to Denzel Curry on that aspect. The breakdown on this one was really in-depth and I liked it lot, good looks Lost In Vegas !!
I think when he says, "You want me to kill myself," it isn't meant literally. I believe he means that everyone wants him to kill what makes him the individual he is. They want him to fully embrace what the industry deems as successful.
You guys are honestly the best reaction channel I've seen. Most of these other guys are just emoting when they react, but you really go in depth with it, and your insights are always on point
You guys put it perfect. I agree 100% and in a sense you guys are apart of the game because you’re spreading ideas and thoughts and that’s needed and important! You guys have kept your posture from the beginning and I admire that. Keep it up guys
Dude...people have been doing distorted bass since that song by One Way - Cutie Pie and even before that. Beastie Boys was doing distorted bass. Distorted bass has been around forever and a mumble rapper will never do something ''new'' lol
Why are people considered defensive when they state facts? They didn't popularize anything, I've been listening to distorted bass since the late 70's. Even Led Zeppelin was messing with distorted bass back in the 60's. It's just a fact. Want to talk about who popularized Distorted bass? The king of distorted bass himself, Jimi Hendrix.
Rap has always been popular among the youth since the days of dookie chains and Adidas track suits... Where the hell have you been for the last 40 years? You just waking up or something? lol Want cited sources? Alrighty. Popularized just now! Ha! The 60's, maybe ''random'' people on the internet ''sometimes'' now what the hell they are talking about. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuzz_bass
Never been commercialized? Dude, LL. Cool J. Heavy D. and the Boys. The Fat Boyz. Digital Underground. Kurtis Blow. My God man you have been asleep. You have to be a youngin' to think rap is just now popular. The hell...
Remember when Dave gave that interview he was spittin big facts but the audience was laughing. U could see it on his face he was dead serious . Ppl are so out of tune with the world. Maybe being an empath has given me a different outlook bc too many ppl are dumbed tf down
Flatbush Zombies - U&I. Or something off of Better Off Dead (maybe Bliss or MRAZ). Or Your Favorite Rap Song off 3001: A Laced Odyssey. Or Belly off Day of the Dead. Or Devil & Us off of D.R.U.G.S. Anything FBZ would be dope though
I've been watching you guys for a while now and I love how open and knowledgable you guys are. I've been here since 7k and I want y'all to keep doing you and I personally feel connected to your opinions because I'm open to so much different music just as you guys are,so keep in up guys good shit😂💯🔥 PS you should react to Mac Miller - senior skip day✌
Well since the album is out now I think you guys should really give it a shot he steps out of his comfort zone and makes some pretty interesting sounds that he doesnt do and they sound great .
Been a minute since i saw the duo of music but I'm back and you know i had to hear the review for a banger and you guys nailed it as always. Keep em' comin
Love all your reactions! Been here since like 20k. Dont usually comment tho but watch all the videos. Rock and R&B included lol! Just wanted to show love and add suggestions for a few artists we haven't seen much of. Same drugs- chance the rapper How great- chance the rapper Big bad wolf- lil Wayne Back from the 80s- lil Wayne Yonkers- tyler the creator Who dat boy/911 -tyler the creator Thanks!
The ring leader wearing a hypnotic medallion. The red in the video. Goes from the evil dude, to him. He realizes it, and tries to wipe it away. Crowd similar to Smells Like Teen Spirit. Dude with white rimmed Cobain glasses. The black balloon pop. Black Balloons song.
Honestly guys, just do a review of his "Imperial" album project or wait until "Taboo/Ta13oo" drops and review that. Denzel has such a broad range of stylistic and lyrical techniques and influences that I don't think you can distill him as an artist into just one quintessential song.
Hey! You guys should do reactions to River Tiber - Gravity and Galimatias - South, they are a little different but smooth. Check them out! I think you guys would like both. 😊
All Shall Perish - The Day of Justice has one of the best guitar and drum bridges with epic lyrics you'll ever hear (coming from your Blood and Salt video, but thought I'd post on something fresh so you'll see it hopefully!)
Thanks fellas, always look for your new vids after a long day at work. I dig it, much love from MN. I'm going to keep throwing requests, some songs...each with incredible talent and playlist material imo.. Genesis-Abacab, Pink Floyd-Time, Jane's Addiction-3 Days, and to show the kids some classic...EPMD-Crossover, Too Short-The Ghetto...lol you'll never, but it'd be a lot cooler If you did😉🍻
i really like PERCS from denzel, very aggressive delivery with some good switchups in the flow. definitely recommend you check it out. very nice analysis on this video, keep it up guys.
Just subscribed and I've been watching a ton of your videos. I love the reviews, and I've discovered some new stuff from you guys. I haven't heard you do any ska yet though, and I think you'd really dig Streetlight Manifesto. Check out the song "One foot on the gas, one foot in the grave". Much love.
Wow, that is fvcking brilliant. Early Nirvana fan here, before they were famous. I would never have seen this if it wasn't for you guys, and it stands in its own right.
"if tomorrow's not here" would be the best song for y'all to hear if you're looking for a more calm, lyrical side of Denzel. One of my favorite songs by him.

He’s not necessarily a top tier lyricist, but he’s just quite creative and different to most. Zenith is pretty damn lyrical for him though.
ControlMusicOfficial what about every song on Nostalgic 64? A lot of people who are "newer" fans seem to not know anything about that album.
I like that album, I just don't think that he had really found his style yet there.
@LostinVegas, see more ^
N64 is denzel's best project, his flow was impeccable and he really showed his lyrical skills on that
ControlMusicOfficial Denzel is extremely lyrical. I don't think people appreciate his great wordplay and his extremely dense rhymeschemes
Headstone FLATBUSH ZOMBIES!!!!!
You guys should do a podcast

Great idea. I’d listen to it for sure.
