  • We go Out and About to the Lancashire Steam Heritage Heritage Festival by the Lancashire Traction Engine Club, held at the Lancashire Mining Museum at the former Astley Green Colliery site. Well worth the visit to get up and close to these fantastic full size traction engines and miniatures, not forgetting all the other interesting displays to view from classic cars to old machinery.

Superb video yet again Matt, loved every minute, especially the close up shots of the engineering workings. Please keep up the good variable content you kindly film👏

Hi Brian, Thank you, much appreciated. I have a fascination with the moving motion of traction engines, I find them mesmerising. All the best, Matt 👍

Nice one Matt, can't believe it's a year gone. Is that Fred Dibnah's old Mate's (Alf) pit where he worked!!!

Now then Kev, Yes a year already, time flys when you're having fun. I think it is, but not 100% the area was littered with collieries. It's full of interesting colliery artefacts, but this was a great day! All the best, Laters, Matt 👍

I could feel the presences of Fred Dibnah. I lived near Bolton 2001 -2002

That will have been the presence of the Dibnah family, I know one of his Daughters was there! Didn't see his sons this year though.
