- Best Watering Holes in Sturgis 2024: Your Ultimate Guide! Let’s talk about the best places to grab a drink during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally!
#promonkeynation #sturgis #sturgisbuffalochip #glencoe #oneeyedjacks #chopper #steelpony #biker #sturgismotorcyclerally #harleydavidson
Planning a trip to Sturgis first time this year. These videos are great. Keep them coming.
The Dungeon is a great bar! I also enjoy the Iron Horse with the free shows, definitely a decent place to have a drink. I do 100% agree having drinks where you are staying is the best, im lucky enough to have a buddy whos house is in sturgis so sitting in the yard watching the bikes having a cold one is one of my favs!
Great video, keep em coming!
The Iron horse, definitely a great place to hang out, even trophy'd with the shovelhead rigid
Yard camp 5th and Main($25 a nite) walk to downtown, a rooftop patio above the dominoes $3.00 beers best view in town
LMAO. The last 2mins of this video, “the bathroom story” is awesome!!🤣👍
😁
Hell yeah, been there and unfortunately have done that, more than once and advise against it 🎉
Don't leave me hanging... who was camped out under the tarp. Just guessing... sounds like "Ornery".😅
@@rickashford4005 It was the channel "Let's Go Traveling"
Old guy here. First trip to Sturgis was 1976. Camped in the City Park. Went every year until 2006. Wild times & more drinking stories than I can remember. Never went back after 2006. What used to be a Balls to the Wall Biker Blast turned into a money grubbing Yuppie Carnival.
Wow! You got it bad...or good...two months before rally and you're hitting up Sturgis already. I got it, since this will be my 26th year. Tons of fun, great rides, good people, etc etc. Should be a blast. Wayne out West (Colorado) Hope to see you there.
Only 17 times for me. I had to get divorced so I could afford to go.
The Wife and I were in deadwood last month and stopped in the Wild Bill Bar. Awesome experience! The Bartender should be a Historian for the area. He was full of great stories and facts of the area.
For all of us stuck at home, or at jobs or like me fighting medical issues have the Amazing Time you deserve, we can only Hope that once or twice You Toast those of us that can't make that Trip This Year, but since I plan on full recovery, perhaps we can all meet next year. But I will still be designated non drinking driver like I have been since 1985, but having a sober buddy can be handy at times
Absolutely. You take care of you, bud, and we will certainly toast you!!!
Stone House Saloon is west of Belle Fourche. Great place!
Had a great dinner at the knuckle. Had an amazing stuffed filet steak at Mavericks in deadwood. Great honey whiskey from the deadwood distillery named after poker Alice.
Elk Haven Horse Camp was a cool bar we stopped at on the way back from Badlands last year.
Of course there is the Full Throttle Saloon which is always interesting. And then the Boar's nest
Moonshine Gulch Saloon in Rochford. On Sunday afternoon the local musicians come down and jam for free
I could not agree more with your thoughts on having a sip at the house. We had an awesome place in Deadwood near the bus route into town. We spent one night bar hopping down the Main Street in Deadwood. We had a blast. But every night after this, we had drinks on the patio at the house. So many fun stories we shared and great times. Even almost convinced a buddy’s wife that the local wild bear had asked for her by name 😂
I’ll add Sasha’s Block Party first Friday of the rally. Usually has a El Camino full of ice cold Busch lites for free!! It’s a throw back to old Sturgis. IMO it’s the best drinking to be had.
Saloon 10 in Deadwood is a must and the Boars Nest west of Lead. I’ll add Full Throttle Saloon as a given
Mike's place rules. Luv the Full throttle and haven't been their for a long while. His wife owns that other place where women sit their asses on your head.
Gr8 times and decades overdue
Why the hell do I forget those EVERY YEAR.
@@ProfessionalMonkey cheers! 🍺
I want to meet the guy that fireman carried u to rv ,love vids monk hope one day make it to sturgis thanks for the info
Worked for coke for 40 years that stuff is just plain addictive and refreshing at the same time. Good info pro monk maybe some day I’ll get to use it. Your channel is very cool bud.
I had a great time drinking at the Steel Pony with Bull and a friend of mine that was camping there.
Good information, Monk! Drink at night in the campground. To many po po on every corner. One Eyed Jack's is my favorite but Kuckle, isn't to bad. Lots of body painting going on. Chip is to expensive unless your rich. The Big Engine bar is free! Stone House is on the way to Hewllet for Ham and Jam. On Wednesday. Back road from Bellfuoch.(sp). Why can't the french learn to spell my way? 😂
the horseshoe rocks. when i was there the bartender was the bartender year round, not an import for the rally
Tried to go to the Horseshoe Bar in Interior SD last year because I heard you talk about it in past videos. But according to a google search they are permanently closed.
Ta-ta Tuesday! Good place to go for drinks is Perkins Tavern in Newcastle, WY, good prices and get your money's worth.
Paddy O'Neill's Irish Pub I think is the name of the place!
Stonehouse saloon in Wyoming is a lot of fun. Great food great people.
Best value beer, other than your own, Rat Hole Bar at the Chip. Think last year was 5 bucks for 30oz of Coors.
I’ll be in K at the Pony. Hope to be able to at least have 1 with ya there.
I think I am in C?
Bourbon and raspberry or Dr Peppers, never been sick with this combo.
ohhh mann gonna miss Sturgis this year!
I’ve been riding since 2010 and I’ve yet to make it to Sturgis. I want to attend at least once.
Don't wait. Something will happen and you'll never go!
I was laughing all the way through this vid. I think all these drinking sessions you've had have swamped your grey cells and scuppered your memory! LOL
Had a good time at the Side Hack !
That's the one I couldn't remember!
That's right! And Gunners Lounge upstairs!
Isn’t the Stonehouse saloon in Bella Fourche, North Dakota?
It's in Belle Fourche, South Dakota
Moonshine Gulch,Casino bar in Central City and St Ogne bar
We talked about this a little while back. I can make four or five drinks with a 8 ounce red bull. How is your syrup enriched Coke better?
I’m riding and eating I hope to have some tea and fun I’ll have to make it sweet tea as I’m sure they don’t make Florida sweet tea my first time I’m getting excited
I'm retired looking for a camp ground for my wife and I... first time at Sturgis. What would you suggest.
It all depends on what you want to do or go. I've been 16 time and know a lot of them. My favorite changed hands and new owner thing it's a gold mine. I can't afford it. Write me and I'll help you out. Do it fast or you will only have leftovers now. Most raise rates after January.
Neil is right, you gotta move quick. If you're tenting there will be options, if you're RVing just start searching!
If you only had 1.5 days in Sturgis area during the rally, what would be the top few things to do/see?
I would go ride Needles and all through Custer State Park including iron mountain road, I would go to a concert that night at the Buffalo Chip, and the next day I would go ride Spearfish canyon via Deadwood!
@@ProfessionalMonkey That's a good 1.5 days. Instead of paying so much for tge Chip go to Kickstands and see it for free. Down town bars are entertaining and free too.
Dungeon Bar indeed is great, but by far the best hangout was the original Full Throttle Saloon. In 2010, me and a buddy got pulled out of the crowd to run the spotlights for the Jackyl concert that night. Like what??? This was while they were filming that TV show. Who trusts some dudes out of the crowd to run spotlights for one of your biggest concert nights...? At the end of the concert, I had to track Jesse James Dupree, through the air, as he was shot out of a cannon and landed into a net at the other end of the stage. Nerve-racking, but I did it. After the show, we were basically left up in the lighting booth. No "thanks for running the lights".... nothing... not even a free beer. We just rolled back to our campsite. 🙄
Y'all never had a Bourbon Riverboat or Hot Bourbon Tea they're awesome 🤘🤘
You are correct. We will be at the Chip. Water tower area 🦬
That's a great area. It's where we were in 2018.
Were Looking forward to seeing you guys, missing you all @ProfessionalMonkey
@@ElBuffalo hey ElBuffalo. It's Neil from Alaska!
@neildewitt2869 Hey, how are you doing? Will you be in Sturgis this year?
@@ElBuffalo I'm hoping to be at Katmandu on the 29th of July. Till 15th of August. Or there's about. Bob and Tam Will probably do a meet and greet at the camp ground again.
“Paddy O’Neals” is next to the Hampton Inn and Tin Lizzie’s.
That’s it!
Last trip to Sturgis was 2011, stayed at the chip, went to the George Thorogood concert and got to go backstage and hang with George for a while with free food and drink! He was bad to the bone! pun intended.
Best Bison Steak???? Bufflo Jump? powderhouse? or.....
Powderhouse Buffalo Prime Rib.
Coke a Cola. “More bounce to the ounce “✌️❤️🎣
It’s Monday the 3rd 8:43am and we need more PROMONKEY!
I can’t help but wonder what star Yelp ratings these places got….hmmmm
Have you ever done the Nemo Fireman's Breakfast?
Been to Nemo a lot but I don't think I've done the breakfast.
@@ProfessionalMonkey OK. I might check it out, assuming the crowd isn't ridiculous. It sounds like the money goes to the fire department, so it just seems like something cool to support.
Great advice. I hope to bump into Professional monkey so I can buy him a drink at the rally.
Dame … you name all my favorite…. Places ….
can you bring your own alcohol to the campgrounds?
The Chip is the only one that doesn't allow it as far as I know. You can still easily bring it in though.
In all my travels in the states I have yet to find an Irish pub that doesn't feel manufactured even when it was Irish owned.
Been watching on and off for a while. What is your job other than TH-cam?
Coke or any of the other similar sodas are more additive than alcohol. You are just getting your fix all day long. Would love to have a beer with you and your lovely bride, though.
The Horseshoe Bar is now a place called Lulu’s
There's a great steak house in buela way. Exit #1
Is there a Texas Roadhouse we can take da bus to and slam some beers?
But why when there are so many great places!!!
Good Times...Good Times.
If you have no friends at Sturgis to hang with. Where would you suggest? Boring drinking by myself.
Where are you staying? It's pretty easy to make friends at the campground bars. People at Sturgis are pretty open to making new pals.
Looking at chip or Glencoe.
That's a great question! I've never been, but want to. It's great if you have a bunch of friends there.
@@kellybarnard5242 I hate friend at Sturgis. I make new ones everywhere I go. Last year was Denmark and Australia! It's been Germany, France, Norway, and lots of Asians.
Stoneville sucks. 2 years ago, went and stood in line for 30 min for tickets to get a beer. Then the beer line is twice as long as the ticket line. We left. Too many people and crappy parking.
And sometimes they run out of food! It's just gotten too damn big.
Open bar at the chip. at my rv if anyone wants to hang out
We are staying at The Buffalo chip, are we able to bring our own alcohol inside our trailer?
If you hide it…
@@ProfessionalMonkey copy that!
🦅🏁🦅
5:32 ever remember that channel?
Stonehouse is in SD but only by a few miles
Let's Go Traveling is the channel. I LOVE his Sturgis stuff. It's like ASMR for bikers.
Horseshoe bar was permanently closed when I looked on Google maps but LuLu’s (same location) was open
@@BustedKnuckleMotorcycle I just looked up Lulu's. It looks fun also!
What is your job
Contract killer
Paddy O'neals
also the Interior Bar is changed to LULU's
The Horseshoe is called Lulus now?
@@ProfessionalMonkey I guess.
@@ProfessionalMonkey as of last year 2023, it was Lulu's, that is the place right on hwy 44 with the old car out front and an old sign that says BAR
You know they have alcoholic anonymous to help you with that Problem.🤣🤣🤣
Better in jail than the morgue Drinking before needles or Iron mountain is deadly
ABSOLUTELY.
Because Coke is the elixir of the gods
Coke taste good
Take the bus
GTFOH 😅
Don't drink and ride at the same time. And don't ride drunk at the same time. And stay safe.
This may sound crazy, is it just me???
Bourbon and Coca-Cola... 👍🏻great!!
Bourbon and Pepsi-Cola... 🤢🤮👎🖕🏻
