After having several R.V.’s, they are not for everyone. 🙂. If a trailer / motorhome owner is good with home repairs, it helps a bunch. One thing for sure, no shortage of stories to tell later in life. Picking the right parking site, takes some research. When I first started; camped a few miles from my land / earth anchored home. (Good to practice R.V.’ing, before venturing too far from a familiar home with a street address). Excellent video postings, nice views of parks, etc. Thanks! All the best to you both.
That was so fun to see Ben and Carly with you guys!! Looks like some fun and beautiful hikes, and a nice place to gather in the RV! Really cool to see and hear about the differences between van life and RV life, too. Emptying the full shitter did not look fun!!! :-D
Van life is by far my choice. If you are going to drag a giant RV around you might as well stay home and do maintenance...they fall apart and something is always tearing up.The gas expense is crazy high besides being a money pit. It's hard to find someone to work on them as well. Vans Are simple and easy if you don't overdo...which some people do as well
It's difficult to decide which one is best, RV or Van. I think cost is a major factor, but so is simplicity. I guess I've already voted because I bought my van a few weeks ago. It's cheaper on gas than an RV, easier to park, stealthier, I will design it myself so it will be exactly how I want it to be, I will be able to fix it myself. Yup, van it is!
We agree! It is nice to have the space of an RV but it's not worth the hassle. And yes designing the van yourself is the way to go. Congrats on buying the van and starting your build!

Totally agree with that after having this experience! Also it's so easy to go off grid with a van where it's much harder to do that with an RV.
Awesome episode, greetings
Thanks Axel!
