Traveling Atlas
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 9 พ.ค. 2018
We left New York in July 2019 to travel the world and we took work with us. We have made it our mission to slow travel for 16 months throughout South America and Asia. Traveling is embedded into our relationship as we met on a Spring Break cruise in 2016. Since then, we haven't stopped traveling together in the United States and abroad.
Due to the pandemic, we changed course and bought a van to convert into a camper (#vanlife) to travel to all 50 National Parks in the lower 48 states (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) before Christmas.

Switzerland Yoga Retreat 2024
We had a magical retreat in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland where we started and ended our day with yoga in our beautiful mountainside hotel. In addition to deepening our yoga practices, we enjoyed 5 nights and 6 days of hiking to alpine lakes, biking through vineyards, wine tasting, tobogganing down mountainsides, eating delicious vegetarian meals, and building community. At Atlas Yoga, we strive to take you on a trip that is the perfect combination of travel and yoga.

Costa Rica Yoga Retreat 2024
มุมมอง 1252 หลายเดือนก่อน
We had a beautiful week long retreat in Costa Rica in March 2024. This property was just outside of Jaco Beach in a lush jungle with views of Playa Hermosa. We had a peaceful haven where we enjoyed yoga each morning, poolside hangs, dinners by our private chef, and bird watching. We took a catamaran boat cruise, hiked to waterfalls, zip-lined, relaxed on the beach, and even took surfing lessons...

We took the Hallstatt Salt Mine funicular and got an amazing view of the lake from above on the sky walk. Could not recommend a v...

Van Life Pros and Cons After Months of the Road
Seeing this is 2024

Amazing, Thanks
The uniformed personnel you showed at the beginning are not "military". They are policemen, and by the way, from one of the most professional police forces in South America. And like you have never seen military with assault rifles in Norway, Italy, France! Unfortunately at that times there were a lot of protests, and we ended up having to this day one of the worst governments in our history. Other than that, the scenery is magnificent. I have done those routes three times and I still have not seen everything.

Oh my God, how is it that people expect others to pay for them to travel around the globe. UNBELIEVABLE!
Pizza in Manhattan is mostly MID. If you want great pizza you have to go to the suburbs.
Servus and thank you for visiting my hometown, oida!
Have you tried Pizza Park or Oath Pizza? Also Williamsburg pizza.
nice video

I Just found your skill share video link which I image will answer my question. I am traveling to Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna, Fussen over 12 days in September and being from Oz may never be in Europe again. Is It possible to learn how to capture and video edit half as good as you to in a few months?
Erin's course is a good start! It takes a lot of practice - we aren't perfect by any means, but we got to this level by shooting and editing over 150 videos - with time you just get better! That being said, the best thing to do is to just get out there and do it. Sounds like an awesome trip!
what was your main device for vloging this?
We use a Sony a6500, the DJI pocket and a GoPro here and there.
Coincidentally : There is a Devil's Tower road in Gibraltar 😊
Love ❤️ the backslash 😊
Thanks for the video, trying to decide whether to take the plunge. I have not done vanlife yet but I wonder if you can put an inexpensive water level meter in the gray tank to monitor that so you have piece of mind?
Yes, if (hopefully when!) I build another van out, I would likely frame it in under the van, and I would have a simple level meter and automated valves so that it's easier to dump etc. The only time this becomes an issue is in really cold weather when it could freeze, but then you would just have to be diligent to empty it out quickly of it's below freezing.
We are going in two weeks to a Austria and I’m so excited because we are going to a Hallstatt and I hear that it looks like Arendale from frozen and I am a huge fan of Anything Disney, but especially frozen
You're going to love it! It does feel like a fairytale town, pictures and video can't do it justice.
I agree! 100%! Most beautiful❤
Would love to go back one day! Unlike anywhere else we've been!
We liked the way you guys explored the city of Vienna 😊

First time here. Enjoyed content
Watching in 2024 and seeing y’all outside with Covid masks makes me laugh. Great video though and thank you for the stand-up. Paddleboard advice!
It was a weird time, that's for sure - happy those days are behind us!
What is woth the masks? Theres no people around???
🙏 "promosm"
I'm going to guess that Brandon is a Sagittarius and Erin is a Leo.
Both Aries, and actually only born 5 days apart!
Why do most people do a platform bed instead of a hydraulic bed? Is it just for the trunk area? A hydraulic bed is #1 on my list because it would be very difficult for me to have to convert a seating area to a bed every day, and I definitely want a large seating area. It would be my office and craft area.
Yeah for us it was the trunk, and coming home to a bed that was always made and immediately ready to get into was worth the space that you're missing during the day.
You live on stolen land.
Is this the shorter sprinter?
I loved following your van life adventures through the pandemic, and I'm so glad to see that you started releasing videos again after taking a break for a while! Really inspirational content.
Thanks for watching and following our whole journey! We have more videos in the pipeline, just less time nowadays to put them out.. but at some point there will be more!
Awesome! I am looking forward to it. The Halstatt teaser looked amazing. @@travelingatlas
Mask propaganda
Great episode. I think the only add I would have is that giving the Native American name for the tower, as Devils tower is a misinterpretation of the translation of the First Nations name…Bears Lodge is often used
Great to know, thanks for letting us know! Glad you enjoyed!
what would you have done if you got bitten by rattlesnake? do you carry something with you? just wondering
We just hoped for the best! Even though the trails look desolate, they are fairly well traveled and if we needed help we were never too far from the parking lot.
Super happy that you are safe back in the USA my son loves your videos and watched this while was eating his morning cereal. Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So happy to hear that your son loves watching our videos! Yes safe and sound back in the US!
Welcome in the Czech republic and Prag!!!
I really enjoyed watching your video it was fun! And btw Prague is abosulte condensed beauty❤️
Nice! I have a similar except low roof. I’m 5’1” so it works for me. I need screens. Where did you get yours and are you happy with them?
If I remember they were Maglo (something like that?) Got them off Amazon and had to cut them to get them to fit correctly
great travel content, nee friend here and thanks for sharing
"To keeping pushing on" is something truly american 🙂I would sleep the first day, for sure. 🙂
Lol you're not wrong!
How long did it take you guys to get to the beach from the parking area? I'm trying to find a beach that is a little more higher in altitude I like the large Hills that fall into the water Instead of flat beaches
If I remember correctly it was like a 20 minute walk?
Praque girl are really beautiful...I'm watching from philipines
Where did you stayed?
We stayed in an Airbnb near Lokal restaurant
Hi,very good trip👍👍👍
Thanks! We loved it and also loved Prague!
@@travelingatlas Yes,I´m from Czech Republic,I know Prague
Sorry, but more like selfie here, don t you think? By the way, great city!
Thanks!
This place seems amazing! Im going next year. Just trying to decide whether to go in April, or July.
It's a really cool spot! Without looking back at the weather I would assume April might be nicer but I'm sure either would be great!
I would suggest van life us better than buying a permanent house and getting stuck at one location, no flexibility plus house cost us increasing everyday and renovation charges, etc. You can buy a van house with just half of the cost of what you would pay for a traditional house. So you save money and travel on wheels. Now the other pros and cons about vanlife like lacking social connections or missing houselife and ❤its comfert. So for this you can live on rent guesthouse or apartment once in a while for a change and again continue van life. So it doesn't gett boring. I think in India Vanlife is not that difficult considering the above factors. It can easily be sustained. Indians go for it guys. Work hard, save money, get some skills to do remote work and buy a caravan instead of house and invest surplus money in some investment to generate regular cashflow. With plans everything is possible.
Hi there! I have a very random question: How was the ferry ride there? I'm going next month as part of my dream trip and the only thing I'm nervous about is motion sickness... not for myself, but people around me. I have emetophobia. The last ferry ride I went on was not pretty... Any insider details are appreciated. Thank you!
Honestly, great question. The ferry ride was very intense - on our ride back one of the staff members passed out due to motion sickness. There were a lot of waves and the ferry moved quickly. In your situation I would look into getting a seaplane - they book up quickly though and are much more expensive.
Starting my journey this summer, so your video including the wisdom on the topic is truly beneficial, and I appreciate you both for your amazing VanLife testimony! Much love💚
Enjoy your journey!
I saw this project from its inception to completion. And was part of the first crowd to enter the island day one. Quite a cool place to show off to ppl that don't frequent downtown as I do. Nice cover.
Yeah it's awesome! Anytime people visit from out of town it's on the circuit that we bring them to haha including high line, Chelsea market etc.
Thank you for sharing your journey. This has been one of the most insightful videos I've seen regarding the experience in rishikesh.
Such a life changer for Erin - now she is a full time yoga teacher and can't imagine if she didn't do the certification!
