I mean this guy is in a different level..........Even a layman can understand his explanation............I mean someone missing his lectures , is really missing something in their life.
Hi Irfan...have been viewing and reviewing your videos for well over a year now and they've been a great help in taking me from ground zero to having a decent understanding of LTE. In my latest review of this lecture, I noticed that at about the 16 minute mark, you seem to neglect an important exchange, the Downlink Transport Authentication Request/Response, in which the MME asks for the UE's credentials and the UE supplies them (so the MME can compare them with those received from the HSS). Subsequent to this exchange, the SMC is executed (which you discuss), which results in the setting up of SRB-2. Again, thank you for all the time and effort you invested in helping us noobies get up to speed on LTE! :-)
Thank you Kevin for your review. I agree with you that there is an error at around 16:00. The message is not SMC (security mode command) but is DL NAS Transport (authentication request). As you rightly state, SMC occurs after Auth Request/response. The sequence of message is correct (first auth req/resp and then smc/smc complete) in Part 3 of the lecture. However, the creation of IDs, which is the main focus of this lecture, is correct. Thanks

Hi Irfan. Just to say I am BIG FAN of your way of explaining complex things. One wish Ideally we should have many videos from you to get knowledge. Many Many Thanks.
Hello Irfan, these videos about LTE Attach are awesome and other videos are also great. Keep up the good work. If you could record videos about handovers in LTE (for example S1 and X2) and their variations it would be great.
Hi. Thanks Irfan for the video. Can you help me understand the word that Irfan uses at 15:57-15:58. He says:"...it knows that the oldest number is 4, so it for a ... " And here goes the word that I hear like "show" or "shock". But what realy Irfan says ?
The TEIDs on different interfaces are independent and not related. Sorry that in the example above, I used 24 for both S11 MME-TEID and for S5C-SGW TEID.
Hi Irfan, I think in the Create Session Response from SGW to MME, SGW includes the PGW TEID information. This would be needed during SGW relocation scenarios, for MME to provide information about PGW to the new SGW. Please correct me if am wrong.
EPS bearer ids go from 5 to 12 for each UE. As each new "bearer" gets created, MME selects a EPS bearer ID (EBID) for the UE. Lets say UE first creates a single bearer for connection to Internet, then it creates a single bearer (used for IMS signaling) for IMS/VoLTE and at some later point UE setsup a voice call and creates a voice bearer (as part of the IMS PDN Connection). So the Internet bearer, MME will give value 5 (this can be any value [5,12], IMS signaling bearer is given value 6 (again any value in the range [5,12] and not assigned to internet bearer) and value 7 to voice bearer. EBID values given to UE1 are independentent of EBID values given to UE2.
Amazing Irfan, best explanations I have seen ever - this one has really helped me with bearers - love the way you explain things - I'm making a film about how I have learnt the basics of mobile - check out one of my other films on my channel, Dave P

Great lecture
Please make an indepth course on LTE or 5G. We are ready to pay for the course.
Very good explanation...
sir thank you so much, may allah reward you for the great good you did
it is really helpful.

Hello Irfan, thanks a lot for share,
Nice tutorial and thanks for the link
wow ..this is wonderful..thank you for sharing
Thank you so much Irfan
Whenever you show any link in ppt. Please write all those links in the description of the video.
Nice video...
Please advise on how I can obtain the slides for alk your presentations. Very well presented, Thank you!
Nice video to understand LTE.
TEID’s in attach covered. What about these TEID’s at the time of Detach??
So, what is the "loving" name for F-TEID that stage3 people use?
Good Video's
Very nice videos, can you pls suggest how can i download the presentations?
Sir, S11TEID & S5C are same (24). Is this same for a UE.?

Thanks. Outstanding.

Hi Padmaraj. you are correct.
How mme know or assign EBID?
