BUT. valentine’s day always used to make me so sad when i was a teenager bc i would be like. the only one out of all my friends who was single. but now that i’m 21 i think i’ve sort of realised that hey valentine’s day is about love right? so i use it as an opportunity to tell my friends how much i adore them and how much they mean to me. another thing this made me think of is i think being single for my whole life has kind of taught me to see the beauty in everyone and everything. like i just think everyone is so inherently beautiful. i also think im a huge romantic, too. so like i get really sad that i don’t have someone to just pour all this adoration into. but like you said we all find our person at the right time!!! i don’t know if this made any sense i am just rambling lmfao,, love u btw happy valentine’s day
I totally understand what you mean, when you feel like you’re the only person you know who is single it feels really isolating!! I’m so sorry you also had to go through this. THIS!!! It is so true that Valentine’s Day shouldn’t just be for couples, it’s for people who love love and the true romantics 💌❤️ I think I’ve found that pouring all of that love that you have into yourself and the people you love around you is an amazing way to start :))) love you so much, sending billions of hugs xxx
I'm 24 and still single. There will always be people you can date or hook up with, but it's all superficial and a waste of time. The more time you spend with yourself, the better because you learn so much about yourself and you eventually don't care what people think.

honestly thoo. it’s kind of alarming seeing 19 year olds being so down about being single their whole life. I’d argue they shouldn’t even remotely be in a relationship for 95% of those years! I mean I get it, I’m 19 as well and it’s an age where we crave to be well surrounded and come into ourselves. but seeing someone as young as me express this makes me further realize that everything will happen on its own time…
It seems we have a lot in common, LivviLoo. I too have been single my whole life. If you want to have a romantic partner, I hope you find him/her. At 19, you still have lots of time ahead of you. I'm 36 years old, so definitely a different stage in life. For me, I'm not sure that the married life would suit me, I've grown so used to doing things on my own. Moreover, if my hypothetical wife wanted to raise children that would be very scary for me. I hope whatever is best for you happens to you. You deserve to have a fulfilled life.

Take care of you and maybe join a class for Yoga or a crafts, or something you enjoy. It will happen honey. i was in my first adult relationship for over a year and two months and it ended after this valentine’s day. i can tell you for sure, love is NEVER the answer.
I’m 15 and recently got out of a friendship which I realised was more toxic than I thought. Unfortunately this ‘friendship’ left me a lot worse than when it started as what I originally thought was just banter has left me with a lot of insecurities and making me feel like i’m being judged by everyone I meet, simply because I feel like I know so much which is wrong with me, even if it isn’t always seen in a negative way. I’ve been going through tough times recently given that all my other real friends still hang out with this person and means that I end up with no actual friends. They’re all going out meanwhile i’m sat at home by myself thinking about what they’re doing whilst trying to keep myself entertained. While i’m at school I hate it because I constantly feel judged especially when I end up sitting down by myself at lunch or not having anyone to get in a group with when doing activities. But in the holidays i’m constantly bored and low on self esteem due to being lonely and everything seems extremely hard, even just getting out of bed. Anyways, apologies for the long comment even though it didn’t have any real point to it, I just really needed to get it off my chest as I have no one else to tell it to. I love these videos as they make me feel seen. Thank you so much ❤
