You are bang on. I come from a Anti-Congress family. We also had sympathies towards the SL Tamils. But when LTTE assassinated an Indian leader and 100 other civilians, they committed an act of war and became an enemy.

I remember Shekhar Gupta was so admiring of this man trudeau, most liberal, most feminist etc. Like the way barkha used to call rahul handsome trudeau was also called endearing by you left wing gangs. Senior Trudeau killed our people on Air India Kanishka. So junior trudeau has to pay for sins of his father.

    Spoken like a true Indian.
We have seen how our Indic civilisation was wounded, conquered, subjudicated and almost erased by invaders from every part of the world - from Turkey, Mongols, Central Asians, Persians, Arabs, the British, French, Portuguese, Dutch, etc.
If we fall victim to linguistic sub-nationalism (like the new Tamil Nationalist parties, etc), we will all once again be conquered. We need the strength of our unity. We don't have natural resources and the size of our market is our greatest strength.
We will not just survive, but prevail and thrive.

Totally agree. Our history teachers and history books have done a great job of keep reminding what we had been through last 1200 years. And we are all determined never to allow that again. Chinese talk of `century of humiliation' en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Century_of_humiliation. But our memory has 12 such centuries.
