Developing Observational Skills: Under The Microscope | FA Learning Resource

We are joined by Paul McGuinness (FA Senior Pro Game Coach Developer) and Matt Bishop (UEFA A Licence Lead) as they give an insight into developing observational skills. They consider:
• Exploring how to improve coaches observational skills.
• An introduction to the Quadrant tool, to zoom into the action ‘under the microscope’.
• Identifying key factors within 1v1 duels and bringing these to life with examples from the modern game.
• Understanding positional movement patterns of the GK, CB, CMF and FW in build the attack phase.
