Thank you for your request! We are currently incredibly busy with new virtual conference demand at iCohere, but will try and coordinate a tutorial video on breakouts to add to TH-cam in the future.
Hi Heidi and Sciencelady, thank you for your request! We are currently incredibly busy with new virtual conference demand at iCohere, but will definitely try and coordinate a tutorial video on breakouts to add to TH-cam in the future. If you have a general question, please feel free to post it.
Thanks for tutorial. I have a question about how to let the attendees hear the computer sound when I play a Powerpoint slide with an audio file. Suppose I'm asking my students to have a listening exercise and I share my desktop with them. They can see the Power Point slide with the questions. And then I click on the "audio" on the slide that I would like them to hear. However, they can not hear anything. I remember in Webex Meetings, we can activate a feature to share the computer sound at the same time when we share the screen. But I don't see that feature in Webex Training. Do you know how to make that happen?
Hi Gary, This is a great question and something WebEx Training Center should do better. Basically, WebEx uses the version of PowerPoint you have installed on your computer to load in the slides. It doesn't normally matter what version they were created on (as long as they are PPT or PPTX) but it does matter what version is installed on the computer that loads them into WebEx. With newer versions of PowerPoint we have noticed that animations/transitions/media are all stripped out. I have a copy of PowerPoint 2010 and it retains the media and many transition effects in PowerPoint slides.
How do you access this feature ? can you provide link to download this. i have webex meetings and cant do breakout rooms and have spent hrs trying to find the right product ! thanks
Hi Christine, normally screen-shares are visual only and not audio. You could try and do it by having the audio be captured by your mic, but likely the video would look choppy and the audio poor quality. It is best to upload an MP4 video into the session to stream from the presenter's computer. Note that when the ball is passed the video disappears since it is streaming from the presenter's computer. Hope this helps!
Hi Nicola, you can use attention tracking, which will show a red exclamation mark by the attendees who don't have the WebEx window active. It's good to keep in mind that it will show a red exclamation mark any time the WebEx window is not active, even if they are actually watching, but had clicked off of it. On a PC, attention tracking can be added or removed from the Session Options, by choosing Session>Session Options.
Hi Auri. The best way to share video or audio files is to stream them from your computer through WebEx by not screen-sharing, but instead choosing Share>File. You must be the active presenter to do this and the videos/audio files disappear if you change who has the ball. Screen-shares are normally visual only. You could attempt to share a video via screen-share by allowing the audio to play through your mic, but likely the video will look choppy and the audio low quality. In the end, practicing is the best, so you could always try it out with a friend to see if it will work.
Hi Semih, sharing My Desktop shares everything running on your computer, but not WebEx. WebEx ends up as a blue ribbon at the top and any WebEx panels opened appear as concealed boxes. If you want to share WebEx, choose Share>My Session Window. Note that this will make any non-WebEx applications brought in front appear as concealed boxes.
Many thanks for the reply. However I want to share my desktop but avoid the green areas that participants see when I open a chat box. I can share an example screenshot.

Can you pin multiple panelists’ video feeds?
Thank you for the video. I would like your confirmation that I can't stream sharing a TH-cam video from my computer with my attendees. Correct?

Thank you for your prompt and clear response. Is WebEx Meeting better in sharing TH-cam videos or would it be the same case as WebEx Training?
How can I be sure that when I have an oral question with a student he is not watching another file ( word, pdf, ect) ? Thanks for the video

does anybody know how to share audio from your computer when you are sharing your screen, like when sharing your screen to watch a video

your account needs CMR checked
When you share your desktop and open chat box, attendees see a green area instead of the chat box. How to avoid that?
