My tips for low level glam; 1. Do not be afraid of the marketboard. Some old glam outfits are very cheap and can be used in multiple themes. Be sure to use search function and set the level to 1-1. Don't forget to check that the outfit you want is wearable for your job, or it wouldn't show up as a glam. 2. Keep everything you think is best or has the potential to be something more. Some early lvl gear are unique in their designs which will grant you more options to choose from in the future. Do note that some might be undyeable. More options is always better for your fashion sense. 3. Know thyself, know thy theme. - This is important. You have to know your style and your character. Some races might be heavier on a cuter, cooler, or sexier side, so corporate that into your style. For me, i love thighs with cute, regal, sharp, or casual outfits, so my character won't be in a bikini armor or walk around in lingeries, still, they are available options for mix-and-match. My character is a Xaela AuRi, so showing off her scales with glams that do not cover her entire legs or arms is also a choice. 4. Attention to detail. This is not a requirement but its good to have. This way you can mix and match an entire glam set from entirely different set pieces. Some pieces can be used to change the visual on body and leg glams such as long sleeves and long boots glams, giving them new and unique looks you cannot find from using their own set. 5. Check other people glams or your favorite characters outfits from other medias, and don't be afraid to steal that idea for your own. If you are not comfortable with copying, just borrow the idea and mix it with your own style and available glams. You can also find good looking glams that are not available in the marketboard this way. 6. Don't be afraid to be colorful and vibrant. Use your favorite colors to express yourself. Just don't go overboard with colors or people will think that you haven't unlock glam system yet.
If the opening didn't give it away this took way longer than I wanted to make. Basically I had audio hell (still not very happy with how the audio turned out). Anyway hopefully I'll take what I learned and it won't take me so long to make vids in the future.
Alright time for a glam review. The Paladin glam. I'm not sure the Zangantetsu is the best fit for it, but the more I see it the more I like it. It goes from white to black with the rest of the outfit and have the white shield with the black sword actually gives a good touch. But what I really like is how the helm and the shield both have a single horn in the middle. Even from completely different sets they match together so well. The healing glam. What I like about this is that the Ash mask (while already a popular glam item) fits into the griffon coat. It has a bird like esthetic. The relic weapons from two different expansions are a nice touch as well. A trial player getting an ARR relic, that must have been a pain. Black Mage glam. Basically same, though going to have to admit it isn't as good as the healing. The grey feathers just don't blend in as well as it white does. But still you managed to find a winged black mage weapon to go along with it. The Marauder glam The one is a real shame because yes the Parashu would have been great with this. The chains on the Parashu with the chains on the chest gear would have been a really nice match. I also like for the chain lining of the coat matches the legs. Shame about the weapon because while the Tremor Ax is a awesome ax it doesn't really match. Bard glam. I'm just so use to seeing this glam considering it is what you use for your videos. But I like the rings, cause they are stars like the logo of your channel. For a casual glam it's pretty good, but there are a lot of items that a lot of people use a lot. But I guess that is because they are good items to use. Monk glam. I had to double check to see if any of these pieces where of a matching set. Nope but boy do they work together. The purple with the grey lining/wrappings is a solid through out the piece. The Dinosaur boots where a good touch. The fire weapons and the only thing that may seem a little out of place, but I can't think of a better early game "edgy" weapon. Probably my favorite of all the ones shown. Warrior glam. It's simple, but I like how it's a tank glam that you'd expect a healer to look like. I'd consider dying the gloves Gun Metal Black instead of soot black but it still works. The earrings are a bit off. Everything seems much more basic but you've got some Allegan styled earrings. Of course I am saying this without any suggestion to what they should be. What would be a twelve styled earring? /shrug Shizuo cosplay. Definitely a solid Shizuo, not sure how you could do it better all things considering. But now I just really want a street sign "ax" for Warriors. Hope someone does that for the next weapon design contest. Ronald Knox cosplay. Would have probably like to have seen a Reaper version of this considering he is a grim reaper, but I guess that would be an impossibility considering you're a trial player. But you got the shoes down, and considering that's one of his defining features well done. Now you just need to find an Au Ra Sabastian, and a female high lander Grelle. I know he's a man, but the highlander females would be the best. The knives I guess are the best you could find, but man does this emphasize that Ninja's need more real world based knives. Like we need balisongs, switch blades, spring blades. I think the reason we don't have them if because of real world issues interfering with my fantasy game (bleh). Also the pure irony of a hardcore trial player spending money for glams. PURE HERESY!!! Out of all the "sexy glams" my favorite was the highlander female lancer. Though you should have maybe pointed out that this was a highlander female only glam. Kind of shame other races can't wear that sexy hempen shirt. But still it was good how each piece was from different sets. Loves the binding look. The mask just added to the kink factor :P Over all very good showcase. I can tell you put a lot of effort and thought into each piece. I guess that's what a real hardcore trial player spends his time on :P. Once you sub I'd be interesting in seeing what end game glams you could come up with.
Another good place to look for glam pieces is from achievements. I think you're able to even filter it now to only show ones with certain types of rewards. Also Jonathas or whatever his name is over in Gridania who lets you exchange achievement points for items/is where you pick up the items you've earned.
This is a very informational video for anyone that is looking into getting glamouring in FF14. One of my favorite places to get pieces is the coils of bahamut. While the pieces are undyeable from there they are great nonetheless.

I love the Lucian top and outfit, but the only problem is that the event where you can get it from refuses to come back So a lot of new players will never be able to get this 😢
Lvl 60 is not "early game glam." That's 2 games in. Anything after level 50 is really easy to glam because you get a ton of glamour options starting at 50 (original glamour unlock lvl). If I was a new player, I'd be interested in glamours I can get by level 15 and under, so when I unlock glams or switch to a new class, I can immediately look good. The glam items also should be very easy and cheap to get. If it's something like a rare drop from a treasure map, that's not a glam for a new player. That's level 90 players flexing
You can get to lvl 90 in like ten days if you're running the MSQ, roulettes and multiple leveling dungeons per day. That doesn't mean anything. Lvl 60 is early game now, because time has passed lol. people don't treat Heavensward and ARR as entire games, let's not exaggerate. Pedant - this guy is showing some cool glams with a nice gshade preset, but you gotta have an opinion huh!
13:07 if you like the War / Magic coliseum sets, i would recommend to you the light steel set / taffeta set from the market board. (they are crafted by lvl 50 Armorer / Weaver) they are the same look but lvl 1, available for all jobs and you can Dye them.
@@Rei-Rei That is reasonable for most games. It's just that this one has gotten so huge ... I'ld say that you are still in the early game until you finish HW. All of that is still completely free on a trial account. Finishing HW leaves you 40% into the MSQ, but with big optional areas (like Eureka and Bozja) completely unexplored, so perhaps a third of the current content? For a normal triple-A game that offers 50 to 60 hours of gameplay, that boils down to the first 15 to 20 hours.
Pro tip: If you want your glams to be tied to a specific class rather than having to settle for having every melee class having the same look or smth, you can link specific glamor plates to specific classes! Go into your class menu and take a look at the options there!
Used to use a similar one to the caster glam as omnicaster. Nowadays, I tend to use the Ala Mhigo set from Stormblood, so alas....My glam isn't available for 60 players! =( Really wish some of the later-level gear would get lv. 1 glam item equivalents at some point, since...More good looks for all, yar!
The Aurum Vale - despite being a nightmare - has some great black spiked leather arms and legs that I use for a bunch of glam! The hard mode alts of lvl 50 dungeons also have those clawed gloves for casters and other fantastic bits of armor from the Darklight set - including eyepatches!
Unfortunately, my dream of making my Reaper look like Gaia will never come true due to her outfit not having any glam associated with those huge arm mufflers.

If you are going for just general eye catching stuff, you might want to invest time into master crafting (or market board) for the master crafted ilvl 90 augmented gear as it has effects on it.

Don't know what I did with my chest piece, is there a way to get another. The calamity salvager doesn't have the level 60 job gear, and the PVP version doesn't dye as well. Any help would be appreciated.
I assume you are talking about the HW job gear, you can buy them with Centurio Seals at the Forgotten Knight tavern, same with the first stage of the artifact weapons.
After further research and personal testing, you can only obtain General purpose dyes from Silver-trimmed sacks from the Palace of the Dead.

Alright time for a glam review.

Oh yeah, you can do Crystal Tower on trial, right? There are some heckin good glams from there that get forgotten.
I'm assuming you're referring to the Amon set :P, though I have some of the Royal set from LotA stashed away for when the time comes.

Can Halone helm be obtained in free trial?
It use to be able to. Not anymore, at least not until SE holds up their word and allows the free trial back into PVP.
