    40cc is the class of saws I mostly use. Over here, Alpina (now owned by Stiga) is the popular brand. I appreciate the content you produce. Subscribed!

    For that timing advance did you take a little file and work a little wider slot on the flywheel side? That was quite a little pickup from stock with the muffler popper! She’s got a little pippity pop on her exhaust now!!! With those little grommets and what not it looks like some nice details for a little bit of $!!! Be a damn good little yard saw for most people I’d think?!?

      Yea buddy, little tiny files and a set of calipers. Opened the slot up and put a sharpie mark on it and rotated the dot about 3/16” - 1/4” advance. The little details is why I love this little thing. Lots of stuff in a small cheap package. 👍

    Cool little machine. Hopefully this is a sign that they will branch out and start cloning things other than Stihl and Husky products.

      No doubt, I see FT has released one they call the G40, same saws as this one they just have a few cosmetic differences.

    Nice repurpose of the pipe cutter/chain vise. I like this saw, where can I get one?

    I'd love to know how they're getting away with this one. The patent has to be up before any company can use it. The muffler, kill switch, clutch, and filter shape are definitely different from the cs400. The 400 is still in production which leads me to believe this isn't a direct clone of the cs400 and more of a Shindaiwa or Euro Echo model that has been discontinued. Farmertec and NeoTec have both told me nobody can cloan a saw and sell it if the original model is still in production. Looks like I have some digging to do with this one.

    Toss it on the timing wheel to see what you have for your exhaust roof? What top rpm you gussin your hittin?

      Right now tuned max @ 12,200 and about 12,300 is pushing it. In a 6” pine cut it’s sweet spot is about 9,600 pushing a bit on it and if you let it pull itself it cuts right at 10,200

    I wonder once modded how it would handle a 20 inch 325 full skip bar aset up.

    • @dubbssawshop
      @dubbssawshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      It would handle it being full skip. It would prob pull a 20" .325 full house but it wouldn't like to be pulled on. My guess would be the clutch would be the weak link with the .325 set up and would probably slip if pushed to far.

    👍🆙D What are the guidelines for a timing advance? What makes a saw a candidate for a timing advance, and how much? Any other Dubb details that you think worthy let me know.
