For me,?scariest thing about this movie is that Malcolm Crowe is dead but still going to work. The last thing I want to do after I die is still have to work!

Most people don't pick up on the subtle storytelling. One of the best twists in cinematic history.
Fun Fact: While circling a passage in the notes, Bruce Willis does so with his right hand. Willis is actually left-handed; he learned how to write right-handed so that viewers wouldn't notice that his wedding band was no longer on his hand. Willis also draws the circle clockwise (like a left-handed person would), while most right-handed people would draw it counter-clockwise.
Bonus Fact: A lot of the members of M. Night Shyamalan's family are doctors. This is the reason why he cameos as a doctor, as a tribute to his family.

You're right. Cole knew Dr. Crowe was a ghost when he was running into the church. He saw Dr. Crowe sitting on the bench waiting for him. This is why Cole was taking the religious figures from the church. The red objects appearing throughout the film were also an indication of the ghosts.
One of my favorites films. I didn't get the twist until the reveal at the end. I can see why you felt it was slow, because you figured it out. But I don't see it as a slow movie. It deals a lot with emotions and how people interact. Even watching it now after I know the ending is fascinating, because Cole's reactions make so much more sense. They are both helping each other. But Malcolm doesn't realize that until the end. I find it a powerful and moving film. So many go through life not knowing they're dead. There's a spiritual metaphor in this film.
Toni Colletee 9the mother) is so great. She is fantastic in The Staircase.

-- I have some friends whose daughter when she was younger would talk to her grandparents and tell her parents things she couldn't have known on her own. She later developed hallucinatory issues and went on medication and was special ed student. She's an adult now and having trouble keeping employment.
yea the general belief is that tormented ghosts move on after their problems have been taken care of, in the meantime they are stuck in limbo for eternity.
It’s too bad you knew the kid’s secret. What I like is that most people didn’t tell the secret after seeing the movie. I saw it when it came out and everyone was surprised. Good movie. The little boy, Haley Joel Osment, was so good. He looked like he was in so much pain for real. Bruce was good too. Just wanted to tell you your movie volume fades in and out. Sometimes barely audible. Good reaction.
That´s because the music in the background is a COPYRIGHT thingy, so he had to turn down the volume a couple of times. 🙄
We get a clue on where Shyamalan thinks the ghosts go to after they move on - in the final shot before the credits, after Willis says 'good night' to his wife, we see him in the wedding video giving her a kiss - he's gone to his place of happiness aka heaven, where everything is perfect. That's how I interpret it anyways.

Wow! I think you’re the only person I’ve seen who caught the twist earlier, even years later lol. Or the second twist I suppose, since the first was the more well-known and more guessable “I see dead people” reveal halfway through. It’s more emotional than scary, but honestly I think that’s because it leaves on a poignant note that feels more like a drama.
Because I think it’s actually way creepier than many of us remember lol. At least for me, I often forget how chilling it is. The grim demises and unhappiness of the ghosts are quite disturbing and unsettling. But then it has a semi happy ending.
It all makes sense when you watch it again, including the guy at the beginning. That would absolutely drive someone mad. 😵💫 Also, Cole’s desperation and incredulity when his GHOST therapist doesn’t believe in ghosts lol.
The color red is a cue.
You figured it out before the big reveal at the end. I have two things to say to you. One is..congrats! Hardly anyone ever catches it. I didn't. The other is...HOW DARE YOU!?!? The only reason I watch reactions to this movie is to see their reaction when the reveal comes. You wrecked that for me. Hahaha!
First off hello fellow Canadian,I was born in Toronto...don't live there anymore but any way. Good reaction,this is one of M.Night's first movies and also in my opinion his best he has ever made. I love Toni Collet she never stops amazing me with her acting and the child actor was amazing at that age as well. The twist was shocking to me as well though if you watch it again and look closely the clues are all there.
This movie is very close to how things really are when ghosts show up but they make it so simple when in reality it's not. The cold isn't when they are angry it just happens when they are near by and it's not always enough to be able to see your breath like in this movie.
There are all types of ghosts and the ones in this movie are mostly the lost spirits,those who 'live' their life up to the moment of their death and don't even know it. I know how that boy is feeling I went through the same thing at his age but no one helped me I was the one to decide to listen instead of run away and yes the moment you hear their story from them they can finally rest and move on. From my experience any way. I can't see them anymore but I feel them when they are around and in a way that is worse because I can sense when one is angry but have no idea where it is. Not many beleive in this stuff and I don't judge anyone on their own opinions but I know they are real and all around us all the time.
Are you serious? You saw them in what form? Semi-transparent, in actual physical form?
@@veggiesarefruits Like in the movie in actual form but my first ghost was an old man and he was transparent with a green tinge cause the house was greeen. Now I just sense them which can get scary when I sense an angry spirit and have no idea where it is in the room.
That feeling when you watch a reactor to this masterpiece band and realise they got it 😢

Good movie. I didn't see that end coming when I first saw it. The red is prominent and significant. Also, Bruce's character wore the same clothing in various combinations throughout the movie that he wore the night he died. A good creepy movie to watch/react to is The Changeling (1980) with George C. Scott. It's a suspense thriller by Stephen King. Really good story.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I had it figured out from the commercials, before I even saw the movie. Everybody was talking about the twist, the twist! The commercials showed the hospital scene, when Cole says he sees dead people. I thought this twist was probably that Bruce was dead. When I saw the movie I realized about halfway through that Bruce Willis wasn't communicating with anybody except for Cole. To this day, I have never met, talked to, seen, or heard of anybody who figured it out. In the list of intelligent people of the world, I am probably in the negatives. I KNEW that there were others who had to have figured it out, but I couldn't find anybody else until I saw your reaction. I love your stuff even more now! Now you have to watch 50 First Dates with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. She has short term memory loss. Tjhre';s a pretty good running joke about The Sixth Sense.
I've seen that movie a ton of times but can't think of the running joke. Gunna have to watch it again

Not many see the twist coming. Bravo. We've seen similar ghost stories since this... I wonder if that was part of it. Have you seen, for example, The Others starring Nicole Kidman?

I was the nuisance in the movie who got it waaay too early and did a sharp intake of breath and a whisper to my husband; 'he's deeeeeaaaad'. Sorry everyone near me
Its difficult to trick people these days. Most plots have been rehashed by now. I've seen people solve this, Seven and Usual Suspects half way through.

Unquestionably M. Knight Shyamalan's best movie. And you are a better man than I for figuring out the twist ending before it happened. On the other hand how in the world did you get through that ending without tearing up even a little? Your brain must work a lot differently than most. Or did you already know what was coming? Hmm?
Anyway, for two more of this calibre and type, if this is what you are looking for, I'd recommend M. Knight's next movie "Signs" and/or Ron Howard's "A Beautiful Mind". Definitely worth your time and you'll be one of the few to react to them too. Good luck with the channel.

When he and his wife were in the restaurant I suspected something was off. Plus just the fact that his wife was so mad at him for being shot didn't really make sense.

2. I knew when he met his wife when she was morning him alone at the anniversary meal.
3.I watched my now ex to see when she got it but she never picked it up until the reveal.
4. Cole knew he wouldn't see Malcolm again.
5. A fun movie for review of a Bruce Willis is, "The Last Boy Scout". HINT HINT
A guarantee cry is Stephen King's "The Green Mile". Tom Hanks. I've watched over 50 people

Your movie volune is so low at times I can't hear it. Couldn't watch because of that.
Waste of time, don't bother watching. The audio is off so it's a silent movie reaction. Unfortunately his mum is still on so you can hear him mouthing off the whole time. I had enough after about 4 minutes so I skipped to the end and guess what? He knew the ending in advance so he either watched it before or read up on it. Don't bother with this.
Audio is low because of copyright, it says in the description if you wear headphones you can hear it. And don't be mad I was able to put it together before the big reveal and you didn't.
I think It should require more than one facial expression to be a video reactor but that's ok

The volume was fine when the movie began. And then, for who knows whatever reason, you lowered it to almost nothing. Mystifying. Your a good reactor, but c'mon man.

We don't know. If you think that will keep you from getting copyright strikes, it's not worth it. Find a better way. Sorry, but, this is unwatchable.
