I've been racing T Jets on and off since the 70's. My slot car club discovered these cars recently. They are so fast out of the box it's absurd. We race the 16 ohm version. Just oil it, put a body on and it is fast! I haven't even attempted to tune the 3 I bought. They are cheap too, 30 bucks is a bargain.
Looks very interesting and fun, Jerry. Just ordered a set of four for IROC racing on my track. Gave up on the Fray car due to the tire and magnet situations. This looks like a platform that might just be what the T-Jet Doctor ordered. Outstanding innovation!
This type of car is so much better than the super fast magnet cars.... I mean if you are a kid just playing around I suppose the magnet cars are better for them but for adults who like to use their skill to win races this is the way to go. Now if we can just make crash and burn racing a thing of the past we will be all set.
The magnet cars are a great way to get younger kids or even unskilled adults new to slot cars, interested in the hobby; they can enjoy running fast cars until they develop the skills to keep non magnet cars from spinning out or flying off the tracks!

Holy cow! Sixty years layer the T-Jet is still be updated. This is exciting!
Excellent overview, thank you. This is the pancake chassis that I've been waiting for. Out of the package, a bit of oiling and they run fantastic!
these are some great running chassis right out of the package, I own two and will add more to my garage! keep up the good work.
Picked up 5 chassis about a year ago. Great performance right out of the case.

Good summary of the differences. Love that blue color - that really pops.

Thank you for sharing this!! 🏁
Awesome chassis but they really messed up the guide pin
I definitely want a chassis! Not sure what one to get
Sounds good
Great, where is a good place-to buy TFX cars ?
Thanks 5:14
Boy, this tempts me to get back into T-Jet racing. Where do you find them?
Never mind, found the link in the video.
Try silicone oil instead of freejet, it doesn't wash out from friction, faster lap times!
I'm going to respectively disagree with you on using silicone oil. Thanks for watching
@@norcalslotcarsceneandvinta3518 what do you think of 100% synthetic 2 stroke oil for slot car lube, not the mineral one though it gums up
Excellent!👍👍😎🇺🇸
Great info!
So a plastic motor gear? Wonder how long that will last before it melts away?
Probably forever. Plastic gears work fine and are not an issue.
@@norcalslotcarsceneandvinta3518 tell that to the life like t and mega g+. 100 laps and they're done for, if you're lucky
@@ONEFUNFONE I'm going to respectfully disagree. I've got thousands of laps and multiple race wins on Mega G+ gears with zero failures.
Where can I find those my self I like the blue and orange
Hi Jim, sorry couldn't make out the RPM on your dyno? Thanks Howard
250
Do these cars handle bridge or hump tracks?
None of our track have bridges/humps, so I have no way to tell for sure
With a 16 ohm motor what type of controller will I need?
Great slow speeds...how donyou manage that
Just shot with a camera that has slow motion capabilities. In my case a Canon R5.
Nice chassis but the guide pins suck
Who makes those corvette bodies ?
Johnny Lightning Corvette Grand Sport. Check eBay as they are no longer available new.
Factory plastic pins that hold the car on track are absolutely garbage. Just bought two brand new car as they both snapped within two crashes.
I have broken one, but not in a LONG time. Can you suggest an alternative?
So where can I buy some?
Didn't you watch the video to the end? LOL
I posted the link: www.onestopslotshop.com
Nice overview thank you
