What scale is this Jordan ??
@@grooviefan 1/32
@ thank you for that.
Hey Jim great review!! I would like to see the Footwork Livery too that is one of my Favorites Too!!
I used to love the tracks at my local hobby store. Im glad to see slot-cars still going strong decades later.
I realize that I said Benetton by mistake at the beginning of the video
Oh man, Jim withe DA BEATZ :D Nice video
Well done 👍
Off to Harbour Freight later this evening...thanks (as always) Jim!
Really needed this regarding the truing of these tires. Was getting aggravated in ruining a number of them. Now I’m aggravated that it takes nearly an hour to effectively true them, but when put on track (Revoslot on Carrera track), wow! Impressive.
God i missed slot cars so glad i found you guys.
In the 60s my pops raced every Tuesday night in Parma raceway in ohio.im gonna start playing again.
Jim awesome thank you ! Love the new cars ! Mantra looks awesome!
Mystery saloon I'm guessing M3 BMW for the DTM class , 86/92 bodyshape. Other one more tricky, don't think it's a HyperCar as such, as the Hypercars are Toyota, Ferrari and Aston. It's more likely to be an LMdh, my guess would be the Alpine which no one's announced yet, or maybe the Lamborghini, which has last year's livery and this year's new livery. If it is a true HyperCar the Toyota has two liveries, the red one and lady years new black one and maybe is the best bet .
the. photo with the drape over it is a generic photo. The Alpine was announced by ScaleAuto. Hypercar is the label SlotIt used, so well just have to wait and see.
Thank you Jim👍
i think the mystery cars are BMW's
😂 best Part of the video at 2:14 meow! Hahahahaha 🐈
Thanks...the cats like SlotIt!
Jim, where did you get those front Stub Axles? Who makes those?
They come with the car
Happy New Year, I have been out of racing for a few years but am currently assembling a 4 lane Scalectrix track. The track will be quite large and I had a RMS system that I will use or upgrade. I am near Chico Ca. and will be open to visitors when the track is ready. I am a bit slow due to spinal injuries but I will get it done,
@@All-SmogsDublin let me know when it's done. Be more than happy to do a video of the track.
It seems I am late here... (3 years...) But could I get a little more information on that adaptor that was made for the Dremel? Is it just a Lexan disc that is glued to the Dremel 565 Cutting kit?
@@noddaz yes, just a disk glued.
@norcalslotcarsceneandvinta3518 Thank you!
Scalextric have some great bodyshells, obviously the chassis and running gear are home track level, but can be improved. Here in the UK the Volvo V70 turbo estate will sell out instantly, iconic car in our touring car series in the 90s.
Thanks for the overview, Jim. I like very much that Scalextric is producing more F1 cars.
dramatic rules!
Thanks Jim! I can't wait to get my hands on one of the catalogs. I have a feeling that it's going to be another great year for slot cars.
Sloter made that Lola T290 a few years back.
Pretty excited to see the NSR digital ready cars. Will buy those for sure
Nice info Jim. Thank you
You need to let someone else hold the camera every once in a while so we can see you race!
anyone has a pic off the Lola chassis?
th-cam.com/users/live2mTdyQXIlhU?si=Os6Uu6s4JR7OkA-e
Let's go Green!!! Instead of plastic well cut more trees down for the cardboard............LOL!!!! Brilliant!
I'm personally very excited about the "Zero Graining" tire. I don't think it will be similar to the G25, NSR already have the red tires, which true and wear similarly. My hope is that it will be a tire more similar to the older supergrips.
Very nice! Lots of cool new things and the digital ready NSR car's is great to hear!
As I stated in the video, it is unclear whether there will be Carrera digital-ready cars of just compatible components.
@norcalslotcarsceneandvinta3518 What it sounds like to me is the car will readily accept a chip. Seems reasonable.
I think your probably right
Awesome track and racing.🌠
What a great looking track 😁
Looks like lots of fun
Very nice
Jim, Is this a club or just guys who race here in NoCal? Went to check it out at Motown and seems most of the same guys from your videos. Was nice to check it out and better to see people were cool and just having a lot of fun.. Cheers Paul
There are several home tracks in NorCal. You can meet those owners at Motown. They are almost always eager to have new racers.
Question.....If I tighten the trigger assembly where the throttle stays in one position. would that hurt anything? Think of it as cruise control.
You need to tighten it so it doesn't wobble, not so tight it binds.
man they look great. Thanks Jim
G’day wow great cars can,t wait till they hit Oz
wing is not glued for easy removal for racing because it will get broken off
Our clubs require wings to be on the car while racing.
THANK YOU JIM! NSR just take my money now! I love all four Lolas and another Rothmans maybe in my future too.
Jim...nice work. What class are these? LeMans only correct? They are not CanAm cars are they?
They did enter a few CanAm races
I don’t believe a 280/290 ever raced Can-Am. I might be wrong though.
I think it was the T260 that raced in Can-Am
@ I just looked it up. From what I can tell…T70, 160, 220, 260 and 310.
Lola T290s raced extensively in the Under 2 litre CanAm from 1977. Since the CanAm was basically no rules, quite a few odd cars raced in the CanAm. A Porsche 911 raced at Watkins Glenn in 1973 and finished 9th.
Thank you 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Jim - I'll be getting all 4 and the white kit when it appears!!
Awesome kickoff to 2025! Nice to see the comprehensive results in the video. Thanks for the video Jim!
Looks fun! That track looks great. Im down in Chico, I always wonder if anyone else has a slot car track in town here. Ive got one upstairs.
Outstanding track. 👏🏾
We have been waiting for a datsun 510 slot car for many years.
Are there any tracks in the Tri Valley area? Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon area
Sorry, none that I know of.
Thank you, interesting review. Being new to your channel, I am curious what scale these are? Also do you have an idea where I can get new tires for some 1960s cars? There is a Cox Cheetah, an Atlas Porsche, and a Revell Lola all 1/32 scale. Any help is appreciated. Happy New Year!
These are 32nd scale. You might try Electric Dreams online store. They have some vintage parts.
@@norcalslotcarsceneandvinta3518 Thanks!
Thanks!
Thank you so much.
