- Visiting Sao Paulo, Brazil, whether for work or play can be extremely rewarding with amazing museums and shopping, but there are a few things you should not do when you go to Sao Paulo. This video covers the Don'ts of Visiting Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Filmed in Sao Paulo State, Brazil
Copyright Mark Wolters 2017
1. Don't expect to get anywhere quickly in Sao Paulo. With so many people, cars and craziness it will take you longer than what google says it will to get anywhere.
2. Don't skip the Mercado Municipal! This Sao Paulo tradition is amazing. From amazing fruit to the best bologna or sorry Mortadella sandwich you ever ate.
3. Don't skip out on eating non-Brazilian food while in Sao Paulo. There are tons of amazing places, foods, restaurants and styles for you to enjoy!
4. Don't lose your wits. Pay attention! Sao Paulo has a reputation for crime for a reason.
5. Don't expect a beach vacation. Sao Paulo is not a Brazilian beach city, it is a cultural, shopping, museum, business hub for South America.

Our Equipment
We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

I'm from Brazil and all I have to say is: This guy really knows what he is talking about
I’m from Brazil to and he really is
Yep. Third here. I live in SP
2:28 what kind of food is that?
@@armorFTW we call that Churros its the brazilian equivalent to pretzels, it's sold by street vendors throughout the country.
If you google churros you'll find more about it.
@@Gilfilosofia thanks, it really looks tasty.
I'm from Argentina and I lived in São Paulo for 5 months. Did all those things, went to all of those places, ate all those dishes (I don't eat meat anymore but I did back then). This video is spot on. If you're like me (someone who likes museums and multiculturalism more than beaches and the sea) São Paulo is the most amazing city in Brazil.
@@Diogopagodinho if you wanna get robbed
Diogo Penna she meant... if you like museums...
I visited Sao Paulo for the 1st time in 2016! I don't speak any Brazilian Portugese, but no one looked at me ever as if I "didn't belong"! No one ever tried to "pick my pocket"! And even when I was shopping, I was able to buy things easily, all the people I met were quite Friendly! If you want a lovely "beach experience" aside from Rio, the island of Ilhabela or Morro de Sao Paulo, both on the coast of Brazil, are Wonderful and the Warmest Ocean water I've ever felt! And the food there is Fabulous!!!
I was expecting you standing in the Avenida Paulista....
+Helsinkipop a bit hard filming there :) too loud
Wolters World too loud and dangerous too
sempre tem um retardado!
vira lata!
we use "Tchau" the same as italians, "adeus" means some thing like a goodbye but forever, like a dying person on a movie ... sounds creepy
A vai toma no cu
Places to go: the old downtown (usually they have a guide speaking English and explaining the things on Saturday)
Catedral da Sé.
MIS (image and sound museum)
MAM (morden art museum)
MASP (sure)
And on sundays they close Paulista avenue, so it's good.
Bairro da Liberdade (it's a neighbourhood of japanese immigrants and it is amazing)
Terraço Itália ( an expensive restaurant but the view is breathless)
And NEVER stop on the left of stairs of subway. People will get mad with it.
My tips.
And ppl shoul go to the top of Banespa building or Matarazzo building or even better
Pico do Jaragua to have a super great view of the whole city
The tour of Arena Corinthians.
the old downtown é o que? só o centro?
E o Banespa ta atualmente fechado para visitas ):
Matheus Bessa sério? Huehuehue... My bad!

I am from São Paulo. Just to correct you, yes, in the north area of São Paulo city we have a huge forest inside, maybe you didnt visit that time...It calls Serra da Cantareira ( near Horto Florestal about 10 kilometers from the center) , where my house it is...full of wild animals and birds, centenary huge trees . Its the highest point of the city where you can see the nearest beach ( about 60 km) down . The landscape is amazing, you should go there
Haneen Oak Damn I used to live in Sampa and never heard of it, how long did it take to get there from let's say the city center? Dá pra pegar ônibus na rodoviária?
Dont need to go to Rodoviária..You can take metrô North-South , go to Tucuruvi station and then take a taxi ( I recommend taxi, better than bus) ...so near there ! it s about 15 minutes to Horto and you can climb ( just on sundays) the mountain of Serra da Cantareira ! It s a wonderful view ! You can see the whole city
Jraaguá is in Serra da cantareira also, but in the other region - west I guess. It s not too much safe there. Better to go to Horto Florestal, and then you can climb inside the forest in a safe way on sundays they open .
I never heard that you could see the ocean from the Cantareira Mountains or even from the Jaraguá Peak, the summit of the range. They are in the far *north* of São Paulo city (the sea is to the south), more than 70 km (43 miles) from the nearest beach, and with parallax problems as well, due to the broad high plateau where the city is located and the Serra do Mar escarpment, which obstruct the view. The only places within the São Paulo municipality from where you can see the ocean are a few very remote and almost inaccessible lookouts in the far *south* (the rural Marsilac area on top of Serra do Mar), from where you can see the beaches of Itanhaém below. You have to trek at least a couple of hours from the nearest road to get there, and take a local guide or you'll be lost in the Atlantic forest.
There are also some lookouts near the village of Paranapiacaba (which belongs to the nearby city of Santo André and whose name means exactly "place from where you can see the ocean" in the Tupi Amerindian language), but likewise, you have to walk a lot through tiresome trails from the village to get there.
"adeus" is so formal! we just say "tchau" =)
We try to keep it formal here ;) rsrsrs
adeus sounds kinda goodbye forever
"Adeus" is not just formal, it's also very strong and definitive. It means you don't expect to see the other person ever again. It's more like "farewell" than "goodbye".
"xau" soa mó baitola xDDDD
sounds very gay xDDD only girls use it
sounds like the person is going to die
7) Do not put ketchup in the pizza.
Then you are eating just pasta. Pizza has always to have ketchup. ;D
Kelvin Criști *No.* Never add ketchup. It's blasphemy.
The tomato sauce is usually already there under the cheese.
Ti M you are right. Do you know cowbells? They exist for music as ketchup exists for pizza. We always need more cowbell. We always need more ketchup.
Kelvin Criști Oh yeah. Cowbells for music? *No.* Just like ketchup for pizza. *No.* - There is _tomato sauce_ there already. 😗
AEUIOHEUEAUEHAHEAOUIEAHIUAEH, or bbq sauce, disgusting!!!!!
I'm from são Paulo, the video is completely accurate. Yes, we have a lot of crimes in Brazil, our health infrastructure isn't the best one, but Brazil is still a awesome place to visit or even live, Don't listen to media or even Brazilians telling this is the worst country in the world.
+XôséMoura exactly! We got so upset with the news last year before the olympics making Brazil look so horrible. So we went and filmed and tried to show the awesome sides of Brazil.
It sounds like a lovely place. You should be proud :)
Unfortunately, that kind of warning is completely necessary! First, it's true that you have to watch yourself in Brazil. Second, a lot of people around the world just don't have to worry about things that a native knows since childhood, things like, don't hang your wallet around, don't use your cellphone walking down the street, no chains, no bracelets, no shining earings, do not stay inside your parked car, do not take too long to get into your car, don't take too long to get out of it as well, don't walk on the street after 10pm, do not walk alone at night, do not walk alone anytime if you are a woman and look like a gringo person. With all that said, there are a lot of worse places in the world. So I do recommend Brazil for visiting or even living if you don't have to work there OR if you are going to develop a work that will pay really really well.
Brazil is a very unique country, it has almost nothing to do with its neighbors, there's absolutely nothing that you can compare to Brazil. To really understand it, you have to go there. It's the world capital of diversity :)
Sao Paulo is awesome, one of the best global cities on earth. Also, Sao Paulo has the biggest japanese community outside of Japan, Brazil received a huge number of japanese immigrants, most of them are in Sao Paulo.
I was born in São Paulo and lived here all my life, and it's pretty interesting to watch people from other places talking about their experiences in a city I'm so familiar with. And you're absolutely right about every thing. It's horrible not being able to move around the city quickly, especially when you're always late like me. I was never robbed in my life, but you're right, you have to pay attention to those kind of things. But generally, it's a wonderful city, we have loads of theatres and museums and a big range of culture in general (not to mention the parks) . I totally recommend to anyone.
I just wanted to come here and say thank you. It is the first time I see someone say nice things about São Paulo without being cliche and with a lot of respect and background on our culture, which is very mixed up! I feel very glad to see you had a good experience in my beloved city!
I'm from São Paulo and I've always lived downtown and Everything that you said it's true, thank you very much, BUT you missed the most important thing, *São Paulo has the best pizza in the world* , thin dough and very stuffed and in some cases 100% tomato sauce!!!
I'm living in Australia and I miss so much the food from Brazil! In January I'm coming back to São Paulo.
I think when I arrive in Brazil I'll fatten 5kg in one month, hahahaha
The food in Australia is terrible, you can eat good food just in some expensive Italian restaurants. I'm making my food because I'm tired to try new food and become disappointed.
Beth, one will not travel around the world to eat italian pizza! If I go somewhere, I like to taste local meals:-)
I LOVE YOU SÃO PAULO!!! 👦💖💖💖
@Buenas Intenciones cafone!!!
Thanks for the video! I was born and have been living in São Paulo all my life. This video is absolutely honest and nice! You're completely right. São Paulo is multicultural and everything is here! Thanks indeed!
O Brasil é maravilhoso!
Ficamos felizes quando nossos visitantes gostam 😊
+SobreTudo adoro o brasil e os brasileiros!!!
Beautful video. I'd just correct that SP isn't 4 hours away from the beach. It can be a 45 minute trip to the nearest beach, unless you're driving there on New Year's.
PS: i'd also correct that Uber unfortunately has lowered in quality immensely. The recommended and trustworthy apps are for taxi-cabs, which will charge you a bit more, but will also be a lot safer. Regular Uber here is generally ok, but most drivers are completely lost and don't know the city. Even if you have Waze on, having a driver that doesn't know the city makes if for a slow and bumpy ride, at least. The app might recommend routes that aren't safe, so that can be an issue that cab drivers know to avoid.
São Paulo is 4 hours away from where he is when he made this video.
He came in July! 30 minutes if you step on it at Imigrantes speedway. hahaha
Thank you very much for the excitement and passion that you have about my Country and City. Thank you also for the positive way you present Brazil in all of your videos. Abraços de São paulo.
Your channel is by far the best on TH-cam! You need way more views and subscribers. You're so informative. I've learned so much just trough watching your videos and very important life advise too! Thank you so much and keep doing
What you're doing!!!!
+Surgings. Exe thank you. It would be nice if we could get more views and Subscribers but I'm glad we have at least helped some travelers. Here is to hoping we can get more of both :)
As a Brazilian from São Paulo, I totally agree with everything. Great tips, congrats!
Must add: Don't miss our Nightlife!!!
I traveled a lot and SP still have my, by far, favorite nightlife in the world!
😃🎉
São Paulo city is 1 hour only 60 KM from the Beach 🏖
The local seashore is one of the best in the entire 🌎
SP beach has waves, good sand, islands and huge tropical forest & mountains all around.
The weather is among the best in the world too.
Damn all these Brazilians typing in English makes me proud! 🙂
Just only english speakers comes here. I don't speak english very well, but I can understand enough.
That's a common thing in Brazil: we will always make an effort to communicate with foreign people in their mother language. Even though we always end up mixing english with portuguese, spanish and some signals.
we try our best hahah
yeah thank you. education here in brazil is aweful, so we don't have many english speakers. Everybody that I know that can speak english (3 people) just learned outside school
i think brazil or part of brazil is becoming a country of 2.5 world
I went to Sao Paulo about two months ago. The people were so nice and the food was awesome. The only struggle was that 90% of the people I met don’t speak a word of English hahah. But they tried and that’s the most important thing. I have one don’t to add and that is: Don’t go to a random Favela without locals. We visited a Favela with a group from the Netherlands. The people who invited us to go with them they already knew some people from that Favela. If you just go alone or with your partner or something, it could be very dangerous. But what an awesome city it is!!
What you said about Mercadão: pure truth. One of the coolest places in the city. It's basically food and old architecture. hahaha
The Municipal Market is good for tourists but a lot of locals don't go there. But is great. Im from the capital and SP is amazing for culture and food plus the "hidden" gems !!
A great video I wish I would have watched before my first visit to SP! I love it and completely agree!
Being from Sao Paulo, having lived for more than 35 years there, I can tell these are all very true and wise tips when coming to the city :)
Was in Sao Paulo only briefly in 2011. Was down there for my cousin's wedding on the island of Ilhabela, but arrived with a few of the wedding party a day before everyone else. (Flight was cheaper leaving a day earlier.)
While my cousin and her fiance went to the airport to gather the rest of the group the next morning, I wanted to head over to Liberdade - Sao Paulo's 'Little Tokyo' - but Luiz insisted that a family friend accompany me on the little side trip. He helped me navigate the Metro (as well as avoiding one or two tourist traps) and the language barrier, and I gave him a quick history of Japan and Japanese culture, at least from my perspective.
(I've been a fan of Japan since high school, and was pleasantly surprised when I found out how Brazil has the largest number of Japanese outside of Japan.)
Tourist traps, what are those?
Another city, and another country added to my bucketlist of places to travel, thank you! I don't speak Portuguese, but I am learning Spanish and Portuguese at this time. Any recommendations would be very appeciated! 🤗
Hey Mark and Jocelyn,
I am a huge fan of your channel. I came across it as I was looking for tips before my trip to Barcelona and Madrid earlier this year. Each new video sparks my wanderlust feeling, making me want to pack my bags and go discover the world.
And to my surprise this time you came to my hometown São Paulo, hope you had a great time!
Volte sempre!
Thanks Tiago! I loved living in Sao Paulo. The baladas were so awesome!
WOW! I was in São Paulo a few weeks ago and it makes my heart happy to see your pictures of Mercado Municipal ... and I did have the Mortadella sandwich. I was so sad to leave São Paulo after an 8-day visit.
São Paulo has the best pizza in the world...have no beaches in sao paulo city, in the state of são paulo there are some of the best beaches in Brazil.
The Best Beaches in Brazil are in Rio de Janeiro and Northeast region

@@luisphelipecarvalho5990 is a big bullshit your comment.
I'm from são Paulo and you nailed it on the review! Especially the food part. If you visit são Paulo someday and not eat some feijoada, you will surely regret it afterwards.
Don't miss feijoada completa. Last time I was in Sampa (São Paulo) I took 8 people to lunch at the Hilton (I think; I may be mistaken about the hotel). Feijoada buffet, 2 rounds of drinks, and tips for the waiters -- US$55.00.
Another day, we went to lunch, and I had pinga with lunch. Don't remember what I ate, but I kinda remember the pinga.
For those who worry about crime in the big cities, I suggest Santa Catarina.
Feijoada is great. (You had penga for lunch??)
Pinga, aka cachaça; Brazil's answer to rum. In hindsight, it may have been a mistake, but it was not a big one.
Yeah, feijoada makes a great meal with farofa and couve. The chef needs skill and timing to get couve right. There seems to be a 15 second window between too tough and bitter.
Love it! Showing people Brazil has more to offer than Rio. I also love having an American and Brazilian family, best of both worlds!
São Paulo é nois
I'm from São Paulo and I love this city very much! It has many problems but there are beautiful places to visit. São Paulo is the most important city in Brazil and Latin America.
Tricolore!!!!! Just saying :)
The best team, for sure. Unfortunately, it's not performing well on Brazilian championship =(

Well, he's totally right, follow his tips and you'll get the fullest experience of São Paulo, I just love this place.
It's a great city...great food music and the Paulistas are very friendly and sophisticated. As much as I love Rio, eating is much better in Sao Paulo. If you want a beach, Santos is great and very close. Great video.
São Paulo is awesome! I can't wait for a new visit! A huge hug from a Carioca to Paulista people. Let the rivalry go away, we are partners!
That was a wonderful analysis of my city! Thanks for sharing this with so much empathy!
Continue assim.
Sempre quis comer esse lanche
The Shopping Centres I enjoy the most here in town are: Shopping Iguatemi on Faria Lima Avenue, Shopping Higienópolis on Higienópolis Avenue, Shopping JK Iguatemi, Shopping Cidade Jardim and Shopping Ibirapuera. There are many others but I like these ones.
Don't live in São Paulo, it's too damn crowded and stressful, that's the most important "don't"! XD
At least that's what I always say to myself, and that applies to any colossal metropolis in the planet.
It's a great place to visit but I would never want to live there, it's just too many people rubbing shoulders against each other!!
I love your take on the city. It really has so much to offer in terms of food, music and culture.
I'm from Sao Paulo and currently, I live in NY with my wife. How I miss my city, OMG. Good tips Mark. I usually compare my city with NYC... both are big cities and have the same kind of problems and both have the same kind of attractions also, like the food variety, good amount of cultural activities, parks, etc. OK, NYC is much better in almost everything, but in general SP and NYC are similar. The major issue in SP is the violence and as you said, we should be careful over there... but despite this, it's a great city to have fun!
+Samuel M Ferreira yes. It is a great city to have fun in :) so true
Hahaha that's true! Sao Paulo is the Brazilian version of NYC and Rio is like the Brazilian version of LA!
São Paulo haves 5,45 homicides per 100,000 habs
Please, before posting such a stupid comment like this, read what you wrote: "São Paulo haves". WTF ?
This video kinda makes me feel a little bit homesick. I'll see you in November, Sao Paulo.
I was vlogging in Sao Paulo last year and the city didn't convince me at all... there is so much difference between rich and poor people that made me incredibily sad, and this last part happened also in Rio.
Michele Ponte This is Brazil. Inequality is a huge problem here :(
The Brazilians are not mature enough to discuss inequality, unfortunately. The left is trying to change that, but it's a very challenging matter.
What about Rome? Doesn't look that great does it ?

It's a huge problem in Italy as well, not to mention that Italy as a country is immersed in HATE!
HATE between south and north, with that northern league( Lega Nord ), racist political organization !
but in Italy you still feel safe. In Brazil you don't.
1-Once I took 45minutes just to go around the block! In Sao Paulo.
2-Yes the Mercado Municipal is really great, but those salemen that offer fruits, you know they expect you buy something soo, even if you are not obligated at all to buy anything, it is a nice thing to buy something if you tried a lot of fruits. You must try the CODFISH pastel or scone and the Mortadella or gamon sandwich, those are a must.
Ahahaha São Paulo is not 4 hours away from the beach. Santos is only at 60-70km (1hr with the bus that drops you at the beach actually)
Men, thanks for the tips. I like to say that you got a fantastic energy!! Love listening to you!!
I actually think that the municipal market is kind of a tourist trap. Everything is overpriced, and they tend to charge extra for tourists. Also, the place is overcrowded. Go there for some food, but expect to pay extra. Also, be careful with pickpockets, robbers nearby. If you want to see different food, go to other smaller markets outside the city centre. Always keep your wallet and phone in your FRONT pockets. Be careful with the guys who want to get money for watching your car. I ALWAYS pay extra to park in a real parking lot instead of on the street. The park in front of MASP is a great place to go, and quite safe as well. Use UBER or Cabify, and avoid taxis at all cost.
I am going in December to run in the San Sylvestrye - is Cabify an app like Uber ?
yeah, it's pretty much the same.
I think not only municipal market charge an extra, anywhere you go as a tourist (even being a brazilian and visiting somewhere in Brazil) will charge you more than you would find to be fair. I'm from São Paulo and anywhere I go (like, other states) I find myself in need to spend way more than I should in everything.
Nice videos. Been watching your DONT's videos. We will be traveling small part of Eastern Europe and your videos rocks! Thank you.
São Paulo melhor cidade do mundo
Dá vergonha ver pessoas desmoralizando o próprio país.
Tbm não kkk
Eu sou de São Paulo
Mark, great summary! I agree to your don'ts and general comments. São Paulo is huge, so you have a lot more of everything, but it's a very good starting point. Congratulations
Just two small things. At Mercado Municipal, most of the fruits on there are not brazillian. Second, Sao Paulo is not 4 hours away from the beach. It´s just 50 minutes to Santos.
he means, beach.... not Santos
But isn't Santos seaside?
Yes from Jabaquara it only 50 min to get to Santos
I live in Santos!
All that about the food is so true. I've heard so many times that São Paulo was the culinary capital of the world. When you come here, you HAVE to try our pizza. It's incredible (in our opinion,) better than any other; even better than in other Brazilian cities.
We don't have beaches, but our parks are huge and really pretty, so that's a plus. There's lots of culture to be consumed in Theatro Municipal and smaller centres and museums, and even on certain busy streets where there are a lot of merchants and performers.
The nightlife is grand downtown; Paulista and Augusta avenues. We have the largest LGBT+ pride parade in the world. One of the best Carnaval celebrations (in my opinion.)
Also don't forget, people from the state of São Paulo are paulistas, but those from the city of São Paulo are paulistanos/as.
Sim, eh verdade, rss!
Someone said we in Brazil speak "Tchau" instead of "Adeus" when greeting. That's true! "Adeus" has a negative meaning, you use when you don't want to see the person anymore. It is kind of literary. By the way, your tips are perfect!💯
Great vid (as always) Greetings from Mexico!
I was born in Sao Paulo and lived there for like 20 years and attest everything he said is totally TRUE! Great donts!
"passa a carteira" ou "perdeu playboy" tambem e uma especie de saldação do povo de são paulo ou do hell de janeiro

Saldação é que tem muito sal ?
"saldação"? Pela forma de digitar já percebe-se que és de um antro do Brasil.
SP old downtown... the best place to go...just walk around for a couple of hours... feel the place...see the churches, the buildings, the monuments...and you will know the essence of Sao Paulo. Believe me!
Legal! I LOVE SP
Great video, I am from São Paulo and I love it!! But just one thing, if you are in a empty Street or a strange place, DON'T stop to answer question from strangers, that could be a trick for them to rob you.
São Paulo is so beautiful 😍
Thank you for sharing your experience about my home!!! You and your family always welcome here!
Hahaha dude you are such a nice guy hahah next time you come to Minas Gerais come to Belo Horizonte as well
If you need any help contact me
Awesome to see people liking our culture and country.
I❤️SP
Everybody who's visited that city has gleefully *praised* it.
I love the Brazil series, I'm considering moving to either Buenos Aires or somewhere in Brazil (People recommend Rio) but I'm a little concerned with the safety there.
Great content, I always want to start making more travel videos for YT when I watch your videos :)
I enjoyed living in Brazil. And always love going back. There are a number of places yo ucould live and enjoy Brazil. and it doesn't have to be a mega city like Rio or Sao Paulo. But safety is an issue, but I lived there for 7 months and did not have any issue at all, but I was trained by the locals on how to fit in better so I am sure that helped. We have some videos on that on here to help out.
Really appreciate the comment and the work you do. Yes I will keep researching, (I might just have to live in both cities, I work online!)
+Successful Minds sounds like a plan :)
Successful Minds Similarly, I'm a (usually) solo traveller looking into doing something in South America for the first time. If it were just down to sights, I'd book Rio tomorrow, but Rio alone doesn't sound like a particularly wise move from a safety POV sadly. I'm currently looking into Santiago Chile instead.
Successful Minds Hi mark great video. Although I just saw a video on how most of the Olympic sites of Rio are already abandoned, disheveled and filled with trash. very sad . I think the billuons spent on the Olympics could have hekped the people more than a month of competitive games.
São Paulo has several beaches cities (at Estate of São Paulo) like Santos, Guarujá, Praia Grande, Ilha Bela, São Sebastião, etc...São Paulo is an amazing city!
Easily the best part of Brazil is the Brazilians. I lived there for years and they are awesome.
You're so sweet. I love you too.
lovelessissimo ew
Actually São Paulo is one hour and a half from the closest beach. It is 4 hours from Rio de Janeiro, but there are beaches in the state of São Paulo much closer, like Riviera de São Lorenzo or Juquehy Beach. Even Santos and São Vincente are just over one hour drive. Aside from that great video, you really know Brasil!
São Paulo, a locomotiva do Brasil
Sqn kkkk
KatySwift Então me diga quem é, Piaui?
Keep your eyes wide opened if you try those fruits! That can be a tourist trap sometimes. They give you flavored pieces, they tell you the prices, then charge you by 100g instead of 1Kg. You end up wiping your pockets paying almost 75 USD for a bunch of fruits you can find every fair. This scene happens every day at Mercado Municipal in Sao Paulo, even with tourists from other parts of Brazil.
Don't go in places that you don't know by yourself. Follow this simple rule and will be safe anywhere in the world.
GBA811 Safe but dead... Where's the sense of exploration then?
GBA811 So you would never leave your house then.
It's amazing to see our own cities in the foreign's eyes. Sometimes we don't value what we have and we end up by discovering old fashioned values by strangers.
It was quite fun to see you had some fun on Sao Paulo (Sampa)!
Hope 2 see some other videos from ya channel soon. Bye!
You said Sao Paulo is the best shopping in all of South America. I know they have aot of stores and malls. But, we know all the extremely high prices for imported items. If you want to buy an imported item like electronics or shoes expect to pay 50% more in Brazil. Or even more. The bad people in Brazil aren't trying to take your $800 dollar iPhone. They are trying to take your $1,200 iPhone.
It's because the income tax is very soft to the higher classes. So what the government does? Charge taxes for almost every product, what creates an environment of regressive taxation. We are a paradise for the rich. The property taxes usually are very soft too.
Cala a boca e vai estudar.
Burro.
Hey man, this video is so cool! Thank you for the appreciation! You'll be always welcome in São Paulo!
Haha i was standing on the bus today and I gotta tell ya I must have been on top of my game today because everybody on the bus was touching my ass... those kale shakes and palates is really doing work... wait where's my wallet?... WHERE'S MY PHONE?
Have you seen what Ana Matronic says about the MTA, the New York City public transportation company, in Scissor Sisters' "Let's Have a Kiki"?
It is a Big lie I live in Sao Paulo they don't press ass in the Bus even in public to be sincere the Brazilians respect themselves outside.
Mmmmm! That's good Ass !
São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are the most famous cities in Brazil, thats one cool thing about it, its like two countries in one.
The Brazilians ask if you have that Uber in America? holy crap! It was invented here, so, I hope so. ***facepalm***
I'm pretty sure most people know that lol
albear972 we know it was invented there! He must have joked.
Bro, where is our continent? he means.... ele deve ser do norte da europa, não ache voce que estados unidos é um paraiso, quando alguem zoa a america geralmente é o continente inteiro, americano é zoado pra caralho ao redor do mundo.... só brasileiro paga pau pro states.
Since Über is a German word, it's not so intuitive to think it was invented in the US. Just saying.
I visited Sao Paulo and one thing my friend told me to do was wear really dark clothes and wear a satchel bag especially in down town 😬 it was still a nice place to be the weather is so tropical 🌴
I'm from Philippines..nice Vedio..in great job..I'm interested for nice place..in kind of veggies of this people are good for being 🌸🌸🌺🌺
the mortadela sandwich is CRAP. sorry, it is a trap for tourists, expensive and impossible to eat. go to a place called CASA DA MORTADELA, also in the city center, located on avenida ipiranga x av são joão. very old, traditional, cheap and good. the place from the mercadão is in fact an imitation of CASA DA MORTADELA.
bro, let's be smart here, this roll is obviously overpriced exactly because of TOURISTS... this is a tourist place with tourist prices.
Why to call him names, seu animal de teta?
+frankstrawnation kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk rachei
I think South America is the most underrated continent with the landscapes and the cities. The cities are much nicer to visit than most cities in the US and they have a more rich culture and exquisite architecture.
The zoera never ends 😂😂😂
TNX WALTER,FINALLY I SHOULD CHECK YOUR VIDEOS WHILE SEARCHING NEW AREAS.GOOD JOB.
Excellent museums here in town are: MASP on Paulista Avenue, MAM Museu de Arte Moderna at Ibirapuera Park, MAC Museu de Arte Contemporânea (right in front of MAM on the other side of 23 de Maio Avenue. And visit the enormous obelisk in between these two), Museu Lasar Segall, Museu do Ipiranga (the one that tells the history of the Empire and Independence of Brazil), MIS SP Museu da Imagem e do Som and Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo. But ther are other ones. Oops: don't forget to pay a visit to Instituto Tomie Ohtake and Instituto Moreira Salles as well. Centro Cultural São Paulo is a "must" too!
Very useful information for those who wants to visit sao paulo
I was born and raised in São Paulo and I agree with this list.
Don't forget Parque do Ibirapuera, one of my favorite places for an evening walk with friends. Don't forget 25 de Março and Galeria do Rock, such a cool shopping experience.
as someone, whos been to sao paulo, i can second this video... Brazil in general is amazing, despite the high crime rate and the fact that pretty much no one spoke english. having a local guide was a good decision..
