Yakisoba Pan Man thanks. Yeah, we try and concentrate on the watch instead of being a TH-cam “personality”. But, what works for one doesn’t always work for others, so we do it this way and will continue to do so until we see it’s no longer wanted.
I really like your review. I'm wondering whether to go for this very model of King Turtle, the slightly smaller Land Tortoise, or the full on Willard re-interpretation. Here in Europe the Willard tops out at €1400, which is steep, and that puts it almost in the range of Omegas. I like the compass bezel of the Land Tortoise (and as an avid hill walker, that actually has a practical application rather than another diver's bezel I'll never use) but the dimensions, weight, and feel of the King Turtle are bang on for me. The one thing that makes me feel uneasy about this watch is the fact that unlike my trusty old SKX009, it isn't made in Japan. I wonder about quality control and, at the risk of sounding like a moralist, workers' rights and welfare.
King turtle 🐢 is a perfect dive watch with all the bell and whistles on a very competitive price, only one thing you need to do is regulated the watch to +/-10 sec after the purchase. Seiko doesn't seem to care about the accurate setting for some product.
Nice review 👍 My Seiko AD, So Cal -OC, just got these in yesterday. These are very nice IRL. I’m digging the green dial version. The new bezel design is a cool match to the waffle dial too. Bezel action felt better than my 777 and PADI Turtles. The ceramic insert is done very nice as well. The black and the green dial versions have brushed hands and hour markers. Where as the Great White has the standard polished hands and hour markers. Overall, Seiko did a great job on these King Turtles 🔥👍🍻

Have they improved the case finishing from the previous models?
Only order from Japan so you can get the Kanji option! That in itself is awesome! Great watch. Add some uncle seiko green waffle straps and it’s a killer daily beater and vacation wstch I think at 700 bucks it’s a great watch. Japan online store will only ship perfect aligned wstches! You can go up to say 1k and get a doxa 200T which is also cool.
On 1930's, the JLC Reverso was one of the first to have sapphire crystal. On 1986 Rado launched "Integral" , the first ever watch with ceramic bezel. On 2020 Seiko launched Turtle line with ceramic insert (not fully loomed) and sapphire glass . Sorry for irony Seiko, but you deserve it
Nice review. I agree about the cyclops. I would never buy this watch with that cyclops. I really don’t like the Dials either. Very disappointing, beacause I really like the Turtle, don’t like what Seiko did with the dial and the cyclops kills it. The sapphire and ceramic are nice, and overdue. Personally, they should of just put the crystal and the Bezel on the same Dials they already had, the regular black Turtle is great. Finally; it just to much money for a 4r36 movement watch.

Just bought the Special Edition srpe07k1. Very nice blue ceramic. Incredible value for $415. The 05 is less than $400.
My 2 other turtle is also a SE and LE. For less than a$100, this one looks way better

I bought it right after it's release.One month later,the ''robust'' 4R36 died.A brand new watch!Just Seiko
