- A modern version of a not-so-well-kown H. G. Wells story produced and directed by (Buster) Himan Brown, presented during his 1998 "revival" of CBSRMT. The good news is there are NO COMMERCIALS, plus most of these shows have EXCELLENT QUALITY AUDIO! I've searched everywhere for top notch quality recordings of CBSRMT, but to this day many CBSRMT episodes you hear are from some old cassette tape recorded by some teenager back in the 70's directly off the air with a microphone next to an AM radio! Also, the first couple of hundred CBSRMT episodes that you find posted all over have uninteresting and irritating commercials. I don't know what ever happened to the shows original recordings, but it appears at least (Buster) Himan Brown had some of 'em!

Larry Haines and Mason Adams made many many contributions to this long running series. I always thought they shared a similar vocal and delivery quality.
Did they use music from the twilight zone or outer limits, sounded very familiar
From what I can tell they pulled most if not all music from the CBS archive. CBS produced 4 of the 5 seasons of The Twilight Zone so likely what they did was in 1974 when CBSRMT started up, they just recycled the 15 year music to cut costs. In the season 3 episode of The Twilight Zone “Two”, you can hear the actual theme song for CBS Radio Mystery Theater during one of the scenes. Real cool!

edit: Charlie how can you not fall under the spell of some of the ads in these shows? Susan Anton in a glamorous gown singing the praises of a mattress that will change your life! ^^)
